Oh yes, I can definitely see the correlation there! I don’t know hockey extremely well though.

I coached indoor soccer in Edmonton Alberta, I tried to use a lot of hockey analogies as the 5 on 5 seemed to make sense to me. Fun game and lots of speed...

Good Morning everyone!!  27º and while the snow stopped, we now have a freezing rain advisory from now until 10am tomorrow.  Lots of accidents, roads closed, and even the airport is closed!!  This is the time we usually head to Palm Springs, so lucky for us that we made our reservations for February this year.  Not going to get above freezing until late tomorrow after the freezing rain turns to just rain.  Not complaining; we only get 7 inches of rain a year.  Today will be spent watching golf in La Quinta and Hawaii with a few swings in my hitting bay for exercise.
Sorry for the snow and cold weather back east and in the South.  I've been to Florida several times in January and each time it was colder than it was here at home.  Stay safe everyone!!

Congratulation Jamie, an ice maker eh?? Like Don Cherry would say "a good Canadian boy". Well done and congratulations on your new role, you are doing it for the right reasons, in my opinion, getting to spend more time at home with your growing family will be the best benefit. I will follow you on the main site and contribute when I can, you have made a big difference on the forum for certain...

Good morning everyone! I've been gone from the forum for a couple months just super swamped with work and covered in snow at home... Happy to back! I've been daydreaming of warmer temps and green fairways. Now we wait in Oklahoma for early spring coming soon!

    Odyssey AI#1 Heel putting test.
Rolled plenty of putts over the past 2 days testing off center HEEL putts from the Odyssey AI#1 putter, Odyssey Divine Line and Scotty Cameron.
The test conducted from 18ft on the patio carpet, rolls similar to the greens at the country club. The patio is mostly level, some small right to left break and smooth where testing took place.
    ·         Odyssey AI#1 – I have to say this putter continues to amaze me and make me a believer. Heel putts were effortless coming off the face, sound was soft and the distance control was very reliable compared to the other putters, no worries about hitting it harder to get it to the hole. The AI#1 kept the ball online, how a gear affect would bring the ball online with off center hits. The roll off the heel did not skid as much compared to the other putters from what I could tell, the ball started rolling end over end quicker and definitely rolled out further. Ball speed was consistent on all putts. Dispersion and accuracy were better, compared to the other putters in this test. My feeling of the counter balance of the AI#1 putter helped stabilize my hands allowing my stroke to release of the putter and assist keeping the putt online.
    ·         Odyssey Divine Line, believe it or not this OLD putter I concluded that it out-performed the Scotty, the heel putts felt not as jagged and the sound was louder but felt almost as soft as the AI#1. Distance control was a little shorter than the AI#1.
    ·         Scotty Cameron Select Squareback 1.5, heel putts felt almost like hitting a rock with a stick, the sound and feel were off, sounded clunky and felt I really needed to help get the ball rolling, feeling was I needed more effort/force to get the ball to the hole. Distance control was erratic and offline.
Below you will find statistics, Photos and of the test. The photos and videos are the best of the testing.
Odyssey AI#1 – Median average 6.5% past the hole during my Heel Test.
Odyssey Divine Line – Median 4% short of the hole during my Heel Test.
Scotty Cameron—Median 13% short of the hole during my Heel Test.
Adding that several types of ball’s were used during this test, Titleist ProV1, Callaway super soft, Kirkland, Taylormade Tp 5 and Tour response.

Took “Millie” out for a round today - started out iffy (two consecutive 3 putts - it was the puttee not the putter - greens were rolling way slower today), then we settled in for a pretty smooth dance the rest of the round.  Finished with a total of 32 putts.  Distance control was spot on, even with putts just off the green.  BTW - there is one thing that I have not done with Millie, and won’t unless she wins her spot in the bag…..this little sticker is still on her:
Will it stay or will it go?  Only the Final Review will tell….

Here ya go. I went with a practical approach, attempting to keep it as close to real putting scenarios and surfaces as possible.

I have a set of Hogan edge GS in mint condition 3-PW, original shafts but had to get regriped 2 yrs ago. If you anyone looking, I could be selling. All original paint.
My favorite Hogans are the original Edge from 95 or 96 that’s when I played my best many years ago.

Im so torn on this putter on one hand it is reliable an goes where you want it to but i just feel like i am consistently leaving putts short i think its because this is the first putter i have every used that wasnt a mallet style but im getting better this putter is light i wish i had a good comparison but compared to my mallet style it is very light really hoping this weather stays away for the weekend i would love to get a real round in and not just carpet and putting green but we will see

Mid-Jan Update on the Millie vs Versa saga.  I think Versa is jealous of "Millie" as I have all but put her in the corner.  I spent some serious time working lag putts "on carpet" with Mille yesterday and continue to find how accurate this putter is.  I always thought Versa was set and forget, but Millie is proving to be just as reliable.  I think playing a seven style putter prior to the test allowed me to stay in "familiar waters" (more of those ponderings in my upcoming final review).  Planning another round with Millie tomorrow....

ODYSSEY AI#1 MINI GOLF - HOME COURSE

Got in some Mini Golf today, I played the hall way course today with all the snow outside. Conditions were random, teeing off from 15ft throw rug, then the ceramic tile fairway onto the green plush carpet to the hole. I did encounter a couple walls as you will see in the first video but was dialed in on the second.
I used 3 different balls today, Titleist PROV1 - Taylormade Tour Response and the Kirkland, the PROV1 and Tour response felt great but the Kirkland was clicky and felt more plastic than usual, going forward I'm removing the Kirkland from all tests.  I quickly was able to gauge the speed by the end of the first video then the second had 1 miss hit.
I'm going to say that the Odyssey AI#1 putter is many steps above my current putter!
Hope you all enjoy! Stay warm and yes you can remove the snow with your hand on your putting line.

I have 2, 1 in black, 1 in white. Saw them on Temu. Men's were sold out, but they had women's. So I did a size conversion,  and ordered 1 of each. About 8 bucks apiece. Only difference is the buttons are opposite side insert.
