  1. Tonight is another 'back in the day' night...lol. Much is made of who is the best drummer ever... Neil Peart, Danny Carey, John Bonham, Ginger Baker, etc.... This guy is right there with any of them, IMO.
  2. I know. It was more of a tongue in cheek/rhetorical question. I think most of us north of 60 never thought it would happen... at least not so suddenly. You still feel good, but you just can't get it out there. It's like one season I was still hitting it as far as I always did, and the next it was like someone flipped a switch and It was gone...lol. I'm not ready to be old... yet.
  3. That is some great history. I have the same "problem" with the long swing. I still can't understand why I can't hit the ball as far as I used to. I am definitely older.... but, nothing feels different out on the course, other than the damn ball just won't go as far. WHY!? I don't feel any different. I still have the same clubs. Why does the ball go 10 - 15 yards shorter??? It doesn't matter how hard I swing, it just won't go as far as it used to. I really wish someone could explain why? edit: this was a reply to funkyjudge. I have no idea how it ended up here. chalk it up to more unknown s**t from getting old...lol.
  4. Nothing like a little Priest to relive my youth...lol.
  5. Sipping on some Larceny Bourboun and going back through some Liliac stuff. This is the new one.
  6. I hear ya! I have lost distance in the last 3 years. I'm 63. I was never what I would call a big hitter, but I could consistently bust the driver 260+. My 7 iron (34*) was 155+. I have probably lost an average of 10 or more yards across the board with every club. I have a bad shoulder, finickiy back and a bad right ankle. These days I swing slow and smooth. I'm hoping to get some game back this coming season by learning how to play a more accurate game because I no longer can hit driver - 8 or less irons/wedges into greens.
  7. I understand. He isn't really my cup of tea either. I just thought this was a cool cover.
  8. This guy is not particularly my type of music ... most of the time. He is very talented, and I thought this was a great cover of a classic Pink Floyd song.
  9. Who is playing the 223 pro? I hit these at Golf Galaxy and fell in love with them. I am currently playing MP 64's, which I still love. is it worth purchasing these... or should I just stay my 64's?
  10. Tonight is George Dickel BiB while searching the internet for new music.
  11. I avoided this topic for a while to think on how to respond. I am not even close to the player I used to be. I am older. I have lost distance. I no longer practice or take lessons. I play every Wednesday on league (9 holes) and every Sat/Sun with my brother (18 holes). I drink too much beer while playing. I used to be a solid 8.3 HC. I am no longer close to an 8...lol.... maybe a 10/12 by my calcu;ations, as I no longer keep a valid HC.... I shoot mid to low 80's most of the time.... while recording around 5/6 rounds in the 70's in a season these days. Do I care? Hell no! After what life has dealt me over the last 9 years, golf scores are the last thing I worry about...lol. Just have fun out there. Relish your time with your friends and family out there. I understand that we/you want to score as well as we/you can. I still "try" to play as well as I can when I play, but it isn't the all encompassing thing that it used to be for me. I was a fairly decent player in years past. I am no longer the player I once was. So be it. The sun comes up in the morning... and I still have to go to work...lol.
  12. I'm still playing SM4's that I bought new...lol. I see no reason to replace them.
  13. Awesome! Pitts are wonderfull dogs. I have an American Bulldog that gets called a Pitt all the time. He's quite a bit bigger than a Pitt... 120 lbs, but I understand how he gets the Pitt tag...lol.
  14. I just happened across this. I'm a huuuuge Robin Trower fan. Anne Wilson (Heart) doing Bridge of Sighs.
  15. So sorry for your loss. I've had to put two of my boys down. It's extremely hard. They truly are a part of you.
  16. What breed is she? She's beautiful.
  17. I wish I was like you...lol. I tend to go with what pleases my eye over what is really best for my game. Since I've never been accused of being intelligent, I'll probably go with the 223's when I finally convince myself to purchase new irons.
