  1. And yet another delivery from Callaway Pre-Owned... XR 3H ("stock" PX SD) and XR16 4W with short (-2 1/2”!) Recoil ES460
  2. Anyone interested in seeing the US Open at Shinnecock can get a day pass by working a 6 hour shift at the event. Info at...usopen.syag.com
  3. Whoa no way! I should've elaborated with... "..with a slight fade around the trees.." I was happy I was able to do it that time "on command". Now - if I could only miss those stoopit bunkers "on command"...[emoji6]
  4. OK .. I can _finally_ add something here ... Practiced this shot a few times and got to put it into play today: #3 on the short 9-hole course I play a lot is a 90 degree dogleg right, big trees guarding the corner, 140-160 out depending on the tee setup. Took my new favorite 5i, slightly open face, and watched the ball soar nice and high and around the trees and fade into the turn and roll a few more feet right in the middle of the fairway. [emoji2]
  5. Yeah .. she's got some nice T&A. (Golfing TALENT & ABILITY, gentlemen .. c'mon git yer dirty minds outta da gutter....)
  6. I recall reading somewhere that +/- 2g in the clubhead = 1 SW. The ratio was different if that same 2g was in the tip, somewhere else on the shaft, the grip, etc. FWIW
  7. Nice going! And after only 10 months?!? [emoji106] I'm jealous........!
  8. Those all are great ideas .. shame the city council (golfers themselves!) are not listening..... There should be different types of golfing opportunities for different people. Another idea I think has a lot of merit and saw in an article recently, and being reviewed in Hawaii, is to lease out a part of the muni course acreage .. with some sort of revenue sharing .. to Top Golf.
  9. There are three Par 3s within about a 45 or so minute drive of me - and I really enjoying playing each one, as each one has a totally different character and set of challenges. Yes, they do get busy and backed up during the Summer .. but OTOH it does provide an opportunity for beginners, parents with kids, etc to get out and play in a no judgement no hassle zone...
  10. Check out the Try Before You Buy program at Global Golf. Other online retailers may also offer similar programs, not sure.
  11. Love it!!!BTW... Can you send her over to my house? I need some yard work done....
  12. Just one .. pink & white. That way I'll always know which ball is mine since most likely not many other guys will be using that color. Really like the Red, White & Blue* but not sure just how "vis" that one will be... * Edit: Was referring to the US Flag themed one.
  13. Hunh. You'd seemed really intent on acquiring those... Well if you're tossing 'em I'll take 'em ;-)(or if you put them in the Classifieds I'll take a look)
  14. oh yeah - gotta be careful on eBay! Was poking around for an old iPing cradle - which I did find for $5 new (with free shipping) - and somehow also ended up with this thing which is called "The Distance Builder"... ..and appears to be a (60s? 70s??) precursor to the SuperSpeed swing speed system. (ahhh golfers and gadgets........................)
  15. Ha.. Funny coincidence .. had a shaft fitting recently and the recommendation was HZRDUS Yellow, and he suggested I put it on a Fusion I'm not currently using.(but I'm sure your guy can out-drive me anyway, any day!)
  16. A big Hi Five[emoji112] to ya ... very nice!!!
  17. Played in a charity scramble .. we ended up with a team 77 (+5 gross) which was pretty good considering it was a tight course with treacherous (deceitful!) greens. Happy that I was able to contribute two tee shots plus two other shots onto Par 3s (145 and 180), along with a few "team" pars and bogeys. All in all my game is progressing - way fewer awful shots, and getting closer to making some good second shots and short game was generally decent. (Of course that was all just ONE single solitary round .... we all know anything can happen next time out...!)
  18. Not my shot, but I nominate this guy for candidate for Shot of the Year ;-) https://twitter.com/rockbottomgolf/status/993189940061229056?s=09
  19. Ordered a Cobra Max 5i to go alongside the 6i I put back in the bag. Two year old model but been hitting the 6 decently so figured why not try the 5 and see if I can make it go better than my 5 Crossover.
  20. I'll echo that.. have a G400 Crossover with the Alta CB shaft that "fades to black" at address. Nice feature, I think!
  21. OK, had a generally awful round but one "shot of the day" I can talk about.... #8, easiest hole on the course, hit my second of only two decent tee shots and then .. of course .. very badly thinned the wedge shot in .. to watch it bounce off the green and keep rolling and rolling to end up about 36 yds past the pin in the rough (and I'd started that shot from 54 out!) ... Chipped it onto the green with a good trajectory onto my spot, watched it bounce and roll out towards the cup .. and tap the flag stick EXACTLY as a gust came in from the left .. pushing the ball out of the cup..!! Oh well.. literally "the rub of the green"!
  22. Just remembered the other brand I was going to suggest....- Big Max There was an MGS member review in the recent past; think they might be in the UK so not sure about availability here. But if I recall one model did allow the bag to go nearly vertical.
  23. Rick I think you were supposed to say, "Ohhhh! Does that come with a bowl of soup?" [emoji1]
  24. Have the prior gen XR 4H - love it, may be my fave club!
  25. The CK Pro Blue? Thought I was gonna like that when I went for a driver shaft fitting recently - and I did, nice feel and response, but ended up with something totally different and totally unexpected .. HZRDUS Yellow 75g!
