  1. @Jim Shaw taking a quick step back. Try not to think about the hard core golfer or golfers involved on the forum. Think about the casual fan (kinda like your niece and nephew). Why would they have reason to tune in and watch golf if a lot of who are considered the big names or best in golf are split? DJ and Bryson are huge names and they have to be watched on the CW or app in a shotgun start so the overall story of what is happening is far more difficult to tell or follow. Not to mention commercial loads for both LIV and PGA Tour are brutal at best. Heading over the PGA Tour they often switch between this app, platform, channel or something else. Then while we still get great new stories from unknown names, they are not what draw sponsors or larger views because it is the big names with the big sponsor money that draw more attention. Who would most rather watch number 155 in the world or an known name and commodity? Even looking at the winners this year on the PGA Tour while good stories, not big names. The hardcore fans are going to watch no matter what, its why they get that name. The casual fan however has more reasons to turn it off than to make a reason to watch.
  2. All of this... Hackmotion has one as well. However in testing it has been a bit hit and miss. There were some recent updates which apparently has helped make some improvements so I will see what has happened there.
  3. The word fun with all of this is not what I would say. Exhausting and disappointing. The availability of the media to be consumed I don't think should be mistook for the whether people are enjoying or wanting to watch. Golf is available on a lot more platforms and areas to be viewed. That is true and sure ratings may be up or down depending on whatever stat you want to see or look at. I won't be the one to argue that. I can only say from the sentiments that I have received about pro golf from a distance here and who I talk to is that unless it is a major most don't care nearly as much as they used to.
  4. Exactly this. Many just want to be given free stuff. In fact we have actually lost members due to all the free no obligation stuff that gets given away on socials. They now just spend their time trying to win there, rather than interacting here. Which is fine! To each their own, but we are also acutely aware of that when we see certain names on the testers wanted signups. We lay out what we want or look for pretty clearly. We post it often enough that it should ... ugh ... should be easy enough to find and follow. However it may just take a little effort in order for us to trust people with hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of equipment. Of course I say all of this and you know all of this already!
  5. My favorite is my 58 PING Glide 2.0 with the eye sole.
  6. We share this thread constantly, and will continue to do so. We want to select new people for testing. Why? Because it is a lot of fun and we want to share in the journey and experience with more members of our fantastic community. How can you best get noticed? Unofficial reviews of whatever product you have is a great start! Make a WIYB (Whats in Your Bag) post and share whats in your bag, post some photos and a little about the why of your golf bag! Introduce yourself! These are not random selections, these are hand picks made by the forum staff and we truly want to get as many members and golfers involved as possible! If you have questions feel free to reach out to me or any of the other forum staff!
  7. Now that so many have told us why they should be a tester, did you know that there is a full guide on how to essentially guarantee a selection this season? It doesn't take much and we only ask for some basic things to help us not only get to know you a little better, but also have further trust that our community will get the best review possible! Here you go! You can thank me later!

  9. Had a good few practice sessions with these wedges recently. I may have slightly goofed on the length of the 60 a little bit (made it a slight bit long). Outside of that the really perform well. They are a true bladed wedge and are therefore not the most forgiving, but the feedback and is super! Performance has been really solid as well. The one key important area I have not really had time to try and test yet is in bunkers. That will likely end up being the true tipping point if they stay for longer. We have a lot of bunkers and I need that confidence out of them. It is why the Mizuno S23 wedges didn't last!
  10. I know I said I would do a full breakdown and update, but am waiting on one or two things to come into place. Shouldn't be long!
  11. The Paradym TD is still going strong. I really love the head, feel, shape and more. It is a great fit for me, but I am toying with what shaft to use. It is all part of the puzzle and has been a fun experiment. Have a friend who works at a shop that has a few exotic shafts which I am going to head over to and try. Maybe I can find one that is the be all end all!
  12. Looks great @GolfSpy_BNG! Hopefully it rolls just as well as it looks.
  13. My key - go with the flow! Just try to make good contact and great strikes.
  14. I have yet to play a course that is too far. That being said with multiple tee boxes there are always the ability to move up or back to suit the needs of many golfers.
  15. Daily Deal/Find! Vokey SM9 Wedges 17% Off! Get the deal via the link above!
  16. There are a lot of meh players - but it doesn't need to be many. Bryson, Rahm, Cam Smith, Brooks, Hatton (my personal favorite), DJ, Niemann and maybe a others are or would be considered top players. (Gooch is not in that list for be). Leishman and Louis were great to watch. The old crew are still good that would bring in attention and eyes regardless of how they perform. Anyway to each their own. I just feel that the longer this split goes on the worse it is for the fans and those that watch.
  17. While the PGA Tour has events outside the US - it is effectively a US sport or league. NHL, MLB, NBA all have other DP World Tour equivalent leagues around the world. It is a lot more like having two NHL leagues competing against eachother than you may think. Bottom line is it would kinds be great if it got a heck of a lot worse so they wer forced to entirely rebuild. The patch work jobs that are in place now are struggling to hold an audience. PGA Tour viewership is down - LIV is claiming 2 million on Cafe TV (whatever that is) and still regularly is watched by frewer ppl than golf streamers like good good. Pro golf is in a bad spot - I think he is right that it deserves to be because the fans haven't been considered and really why should we care about them playing for 1 million or 10 million? That's just a number that doesn't effect us. It's legacy and awards that gets engaged and for the last 3 years it's all been talk about money. The rich getting richer and constant change that leads to confusion and less meaning or impact. Even LIV has a bunch of commercials... Let's not get started in commercials for the PGA Tour. Sorry for the rant, but all of this since LIV started and the chaos that is still going in has ruined a game I used to love watching and now cant be bothered.
  18. When the best players in the world aren't competing against eachother everyone suffers. It's why the majors are basically all that matters. I won't get into my LIV thoughts... They are well documented. I will say due to LIV and the split I have zero interest I watching anything but the majors. I still take part in the pick em but have yet to watch a second of the broadcast this season. The separation kills golf and there is clearly not going to be any headway anytime soon so everything is continually in flux and has little meaning. Plenty of golf fans are exhausted from it all and the longer this goes the more golf fans will be lost because we do want to see all the best playing against each other, not in two separate competing leagues. It's where there is only one NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and more.
  19. Have to appreciate how great of testers we have. Unfortunately life gets in the way for some and that means we have to pivot. Thank you to @Lefty11 for being upfront with us and telling us that you won't be able to make it work and offering to provide another member with this awesome opportunity. Please welcome @frazzman80!
  20. Golf Daily Deal! YETI products and customization!
  21. There are so many options out there and available for us. What technology do you use on the course? Range Finder? Shot Tracking? Apps? Anything else? Why do you use that vs some of the other options?
  22. Depending on budget there are so many ways to go. To do a little bump on a recent community call we had Andy from Ghost Golf join us. Their bags are a premium price, however the time, effort and quality is without question there. Depending on what you are looking for these I feel should be top of your list.
