  1. Watch this free video he posted. He does talk about approaches.
  2. This is why I said "yet". I know the roadmap is to get more info, I just don't have it yet.
  3. Foundations program doesn't have all of the same info as the pro version (yet). I know that over 6 months more will be added specifically to the shot/gps tracking which is NOT currently available to me yet. I'm considering upgrading, but that might have to wait until next season.
  4. I am using the foundations version. Not the pro one.
  5. Your question is VERY timely. My dad played yesterday and had an OB ball and so I built him these views based off of his "natural shot pattern" would be. This is part of hole number 8 at his home course. Uphill drive (32 feet up and then 10 feet back down) OB to the right. I built him a 65 yard wide area to hit to. He hits his driver around 250-255. White line is OB. If his target was the right edge of the ladies teebox part of the way up the hill, unless he put a BAAADDDD swing on it, he would "never" go out of bounds. What he USUALLY targets though, is the tree out there (orange line) and so I showed him on this second view how naturally he's going to go out of bounds sometimes just w/ his natural shot pattern. So by aiming left more (over that ladies teebox), he hypothetically should "never" go out of bounds. I built this as another example. This is hole #14, a tight, relatively short par 4. To avoid the bunkers on the right (and the OB) he needs to hit 3 wood (3 wood gives him a 50 yard wide landing area). Otherwise, with his natural shot pattern with driver (with that same 65 yard wide shot area), there is a high likelihood that he's going to go OB to the left if he tries to avoid the trouble on the right. Hitting 3 wood leaves him 140 in, hitting driver is 109, BUT he has a high likelihood of going OB. He regularly shoots in the mid-80s, so even just this small help on two holes for him is going to be VERY worthwhile.
  6. I'm down to 282.7 which is 35.3 down from where I started. Keto eating has REALLY been crucial for me. I don't feel tired either, even after a round of 18 holes. I take some macadamia nuts or pistachios with me and make sure to drink plenty of water while I'm playing and it's been great. A push cart will be the next purchase for me (after I get some new sticks!) so I can play AND exercise more than I do.
  7. Hey all! I've done a ton of research here on gapping my clubs properly, which, as I move to some new irons, is going to create some interesting combos. The irons I'll be moving to are strong by a degree or two, but here's where it nets me out: PW: 43* W1: 48* W2: 53* W3: 58* I've played a 58 for years, but usually to go along with a 54 and a 50, so this will be an interesting one. Anyone else have gapping like this?
  8. 100% agree with you. Was really trying to find out if there's anything out there that loads similarly. The S300 is the closest, for sure.
  9. I appreciate the back and forth and the info! The titleist link that was posted above is super helpful, but, as expected, nothing matches to the R300 There's some that are CLOSE.
  10. No. That list is the full list. I have used DG Spinner shafts before, don't think that they load the same for me as the standard R300 (naturally, they're different shafts ). I also have tried the R300 against the S300 and b/c of the way I load the shaft, it just doesn't perform as well.
  11. There is no "stock" - I can choose from all of those above. Custom.
  12. TBH I’m not sure. I got my current irons direct from Bridgestone through a rep.
  13. Hey all, first off, love this community and all the help it brings to so many of us! I'm in need of some of that help today. I have played DG R300s for about 5 years now. They are the perfect shaft for how I load the club, they aren't too heavy, and even when trying out fittings for different/better/newer shafts, they just can't be beat. I'm 100% behind this except that I want to get some new wedges and the DG R300 is not stock. They can get them, but the True Temper factory is about 4 weeks behind (I was told) and I am considering waiting, but just in case... Are any of these shafts a similar profile? And I'm not just looking for weight/stiffness. I really want to find something that is super close. Thanks in advance for your help!
  14. You can see how good of condition these are in by the pictures. Selling for $150 shipped (or if buying individually, $50 each plus shipping). 52* is bent to 50* (have paperwork from Bridgestone if needed). Shafts play to +1” and have DG Spinner shafts in them. Red, white and blue ferrules and Tour Velvet grips. Would consider trading for some Edel wedges.
  15. Unfortunately I'm out. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.
  16. Distance control. 100%. My son is 9 and I’m teaching him about speed first. If you get your speed right 80% of the time, and your line only 40%, you’ll still make a LOT of putts, even accidentally. Sometimes the hole gets in the way. Lol Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  17. SOLD - Price is with shipping and PayPal fees included. Beautiful mint condition SeeMore PCB 34” with headcover. Not looking for trades at this time.
  18. Price is with shipping and PayPal fees included. Selling these fantastic irons that have less than 40 rounds on them. There is a little bag chatter (as to be expected) but as you’ll see, they’re in really good shape. Dynamic Gold shafts and tour velvet grips. Arccos not included. Wedges NOT included unless you are interested. I’ll be selling separately. (52 is bent to 50) Not looking for trades at this time. Thanks!!
  19. Just got fitted yesterday and the mTRI might be my new gamer. But man, $350 is a hard pill to swallow. Lol. It was down to the mTRI or the Ping Sigma 2 Tyne. Both felt like butter off the face. I also know how crazy different they are. But it’s a $150 difference... is it worth it?!?
  20. I’m a decade subscriber! Woo! Thinking about not making putts and working on speed has been life changing for me and while I’m just getting started with decade, I’ve been subscribed “speed/distance-focused” for this whole season. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  21. You’re making my point for me (maybe? Lol ) :-) Many of the best putters don’t have 4 feet coming back. Tony Finau averages 1’10” for his finishing putt (through the travelers) and leads the tour (along with Tway, Stricker and Bubba). The guy who is LAST on tour in approach putt performance? Brooks Koepka... but he’s only 2’6”. Even DeChambeau, who many pundits consider “average” only has 2’ left this year. So if you get the speed right, even if your line is off 50% of the time, you won’t have 4’ finishers. You might have 3’ or even better. Pace or speed determines line. A putt that breaks 3 cups if hit very softly “dying” at the hole might only break 2 cups if it were in the “back of the cup” with more speed (finishing 18” past the cup if you missed) and might only break 1 cup with yet more pace (finishing 3’+ past the cup if you missed it). Here’s a great video explaining some of my thoughts. I’m no expert btw! Always learning! But I love a good, respectful debate too!
  22. Speed is king. WAY more than line is. So this resonates with me. I used to try and make putts. Reality is that even the best putters in the world don’t try to make putts. They try and get the right speed. And do it every time. Sometimes the line is perfect and the hole gets in the way. I miss left and right and short and long. If I can GIR it, and my speed is right, I’m hopefully not three putting. Doesn’t always go that well for me. :-) Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  23. I didn't see many posts talking about this app and strategy, and I am JUST getting started (week one!) so I thought I'd start this thread and inform/keep you up to date on my progress. Disclaimer: if you're here looking for me to give away details of what's IN the app, I won't do that in detail because this is a paid app and I don't want to give away the farm. BUT I will talk about some of the things that the app is helping me with, etc. So... Week one: WTH is the decade app? https://decade.birdiefire.com/ For me, it feels like an all encompassing course management, data collection, strategy and content catalog designed to truly help you improve your game. What it is NOT is a competitor for Arccos and the like. There will be a good deal of manual data collection and entry for me, but understanding strokes gained and what are the most important things for me to practice and bring to the course. What am I learning? First of all, the things from "month one" (which I watched all the videos in the first week) have made an impact to my practice and approach already. Having a routine - I do not have one. And I would estimate that 90%+ of golfers out there do not go through the same routine for every shot. What does not having a routine do? It allows for outside talk to creep into your brain and you say things to yourself like "don't hit it in the water" instead of committing to a line, having a routine, and hitting it. Aim - this seems like such a basic idea, but I play a draw. And I for YEARS would still aim where I wanted the ball to go, NOT where I should aim... So if I want to end up at the 175 yard marker, I might need to aim 10 yards right of that in my practice and rounds to get where I truly need to go. None of this is secret sauce (like I said, I don't want to give that away), but in less than a week, I already had one of the best range sessions that I've ever had. I can see this translating to the course, but only time will tell!
  24. Just saw this. Boo! I'm up for playing! Feel free to DM me next time you're looking to get out.
  25. Thanks!! I reached out to their customer service so we will see what happens! And yeah if anyone here knows too, that’d be awesome.
