  1. For the camera you want if at hand height and inline with the hands at address
  2. It could fix but it could make it worse by creating a bigger difference between face and path The D setting changes the lie angle. It will make it more or less upright depending on + or - D
  3. Same things I’ve mentioned in pst videos of your swing. Too much arm loft and separation. Did he give you a specific drill to get the hands to move more inside? Something like towel under both arms? Headcover or glove under either arm? Alignment stick on lead or trail hip? Same stuff Monte talks about with getting hands off the chest or lead shoulder off the chin. Or his cast A move from NTC. Did he give you a drill to work on this?
  4. Things some players need to consider is how much majors and Ryder cup matter to them. If they don’t care then probably not a big deal and go get the money. A suspension from the tour take away the Ryder cup. Not sure what the DP tour will do for it’s members who get suspended by the pga tour. If suspended from pga tour you are losing FedEx points and world ranking points. If you don’t have exemption into a major you as you drop in ranking you lose out on that qualification, same for wgc events
  5. There’s a lot of symptoms in there. Also a lot of “feels” What did your coach give you as the actual cause and what is/are the drills to work on it. There’s things that are listed that if done wrong will make things worse. Like hands in. Many roll the hands with this thought and that’s going to get the clubhead behind the hands and make things worse.
  6. Yep saw the same in the backswing, club head gets behind the hands, possibly a little flat. A lie angle change could possibly help and make the ball flight less left but not guarantee.
  7. Agree, the saudis have the money to not worry about it, but if they aren’t getting views the “propaganda” or whatever their motive is probably doesn’t get met. I don’t see large crowds going to these events either. Just watch some of the euro now the dp tour their crowds aren’t very large even when there are big name guys in the field.
  8. The hope was that guys like DJ, Bryson and some other big name relevant golfers would jump ship and that would of course bring the fans. But whether you believe Norman or not that Phil’s ranting cost them the big names, what they have now with Phil, Sergio, Westwood and the other rumored names are guys who aren’t contending anymore on tour or tried their luck and haven’t had the same success stateside they did on euro tour. Not really a draw for the masses to watch. The names that would go there from those tours aren’t attracting an audience. Most of the rumored names are pst their prime members like poulter, Westwood and Garcia. Then there’s others who have had some euro success and no pga tour success and aren’t exactly household names that are going to attract the viewing audience away from the pga tour. So you end up with guys who are chains the dollars and have a better chance at winning an event than they do on their current tours. There’s basically no draw for the LIV tour at this point from a viewer perspective. If the audience isn’t there products don’t last long or at least don’t operate profitably. Look at the WNBA, without NBA support that league would have collapsed like many of the womens soccer leagues.
  9. only legal action I can see is from the LIV tour. The players are members of the tour and have to abide by the rules which they did. The tour has the right to deny any request for exception. There’s no criteria that I’m aware of that limits when or why an exception has to be granted.
  10. The angle isn’t the best for looking at a swing as it can skew what’s happening. Based on this, your shaft looks a little steep in the down swing, the club is coming into the ball from which causes some stalling of the hips and you have to throw your arms at the ball then rotate the hands/arms. This can cause pulls and hooks. If the timing isn’t right will probably cause weak shots to the right. See the pictures for each point. Again due to angle you may or may not be coming from more outside than inside but you can see the shaft steepness, hips not opening before impact and the hands/arms throwing the club and rotating over just after release Will a lie angle fix the ball flight? Maybe but only way to know would be to try it and see what happens
  11. The exemption to play on competing events has always been there, the players know this and that it can be denied. In my non lawyer experience legal action would be futile. The league has the ability to determine when and to who they give exceptions to. Whether it’s a pissing match between Norman and the tour or not, they have the authority to deny any request for whatever reason the determine
  12. PGA commish denied all exemptions to play London. Now to see if the players have the marbles to play in it
  13. Their customer service isn’t bad. There are tons of positive stories across forums and other social media groups. Are there instances where they don’t meet the customers expectations? Yes. What shaft did they send you? Also did you purchase the original irons directly from pxg?
  14. Didn’t have to test new gear and can stay consistent but also he’s highly priced. He probably wasn’t going to get as much money elsewhere. TM have him the most money last time after Callaway basically said no
  15. The driving iron probably has more total distance because you aren’t launching it in a good window so it’s more of a line drive shot that rolls out a long way where with the hybrid most of your distance is coming from carry yards. Hybrid is going to be more forgiving, going to typically launch more and probably spin more than the DI. Like any spot in the bag the club should be what gives you the distance or shot you are looking for. Or whatever makes you happy playing golf with a certain type of club. I haven’t had a DI in the bag I’m 4 years after I stopped playing to numbers off the tee, hybrid is more versatile
  16. Do the sharpie test for low angle and see. If could be your swing path or face that’s also causing it.
  17. A ball that doesn’t over spin. Playing in wind is about controlling the spin. There’s no one magic ball that performs best in the wind, but rather the ball that performs best for the player using the ball
  18. Op, what does the rule book say for Ground Under Repair?
  19. Any golf store has quality equipment. Places like 2ndswing, golf galaxy, Callaway preowned, pga superstore all sell quality used equipment. There’s and entire internet full of places that sell quality brand name equipment
  20. Yes lofts if different heads for some will affect the launch and spin based on head shape, cg placement and how the way the person delivers the club. It’s why a fitter will try different lofts and heads to find the one that gets the ball into the right launch window for the golfer. They will try some different shafts with each head to before settling on the head and then from there tweak the ball flight with shaft. If someone wants to change their launch or spin they do it thru loft. No need to speculate. Wishon is a great resource and Howard is just as good and has years of data from his fitting days of working fittings in Europe. Not to mention the TXG videos that talk about fittings and how shafts don’t spin.0” Ill go ahead and post the links to a thread and blog post https://forums.golfwrx.com/topic/1860305-shafts-when-to-change-and-when-to-tweak-lofts/ https://www.golfwrx.com/6419/tom-wishon-talking-to-wrx-readers-10-myths-about-shafts-factual-info-about-shafts-to-help-you-all/
  21. We all now that outdoor ranges with grass aren’t always well kept and unless using a tee for every shot you aren’t guaranteed a perfect lie and I’ve done fittings in grass at pga tour courses and their range on normal weeks aren’t pristine. Mats get a bad rap and people need to understand that quality fittings can take place on a mat. Numbers will be just as consistent on a mat as they will be on grass. Some launch monitors have the ability to normalize the ball so that you get the results of using a prov1. A good fitter also understands the difference in spin from a mat along with launch using a mat and can let the golfer know what they would see in real life conditions. A good fitter is also going to be able to tell a fat, thin and well struck shot just by sound and watching the golfer.
  22. Outdoor on a mat also reduces the variable of lie. You get a flat perfect lie for every shot. There are lots of good golfers who built their game practicing off mats.
  23. i forgot to answer your question and adding in some additional info. When they label the shafts low low as they example that’s just indicating it’s a stiff tip. Across the board you would need to see the EI profile to see what shaft has a stiffer tip than another similarly labeled shaft. Yes I would expect to see insignificant differences in shafts labeled similarly. I can tell you from personal experience that the numbers across several shafts with different profiles in my fittings has launch numbers within 2° of each other and spin numbers that were within 500rpm of each other. However there were shafts that caused me to alter my swing. My last titleist fitting this was discussed with the fitter after we narrowed down the head and adapter setting and were working thru the final 3 shafts. All had similar numbers but he noted that with one of the fujikura shafts he noticed my swing tempo and delivery changed with that shaft and I noted I felt like I had to go harder with that shaft. I’ve also had some shafts in the 70g class work better than their 60g version while other lighter 60g shafts have worked better depending on the head. Comes down to feel and balance/weight. In the video of Ian’s fitting you can see the change in his swing path with the shaft changes and the change in how the ball reacts. Not a lot of difference in the sling launch numbers but the change in swing changed starting line and how much the ball moved
  24. None. I have found many that work with my swing depending on the head. But my 1:1 EF Blue will be my favorite shaft to own
  25. They have to have a way to market the shafts and using the EI profile or the technical terms around the design isn’t easy for the general public. Also low launch low spin as an example doesn’t mean that’s what they will do. For most clubs in the bag the vast majority of fitters start with the head. Loft and if at a brand agnostic fitting head shape that gets the ball in the right launch window then tweak with shaft.
