I started playing golf because of my dad, and Tiger Woods. It has changed enormously in 26! Years. My first driver was -300cc yes negative 300cc, I didn’t have a gap, sand, or lob wedge. Tom Kite was still on tour, as well as Faldo. Happy Gilmore just took the tour by surprise, and finally learned how to putt. And he did make a few putts, ya Jack A.. Now the game is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get. I miss the good old days.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have “any” fun. Pretty good group of people I was with. Laughing at them hit my last name was pretty fun.

Maybe Top Golf should read this post.

Remember R1 from my PING review that fell off the cart and broke the shaft? I loved that driver…. And would probably still be using it if it hadn’t have been ruined. Pretty upset about it breaking.

Well, since the house is on the market… I will be transferring to Hawaii this summer, and I am promoting to Chief Warrant Officer in 2 weeks. Looking forward to a new chapter in my career and be able to play golf 366 days a year (on leap years) soon. Could use some good vibes from you all on the house sale, we were expecting to be here for 6 years, but 2 is what we got…

Played 11 of Gearhart Links last night. +3, I will gladly take a round like this. Aside from a 2 iron that went too far and cost me a penalty I played some really good golf. Second round of the year, and I’m in better form than I had been the last few. I’m a little slower than I was, but I’m going to start training again. Averaged around 270 off the tee with the driver with a 303 yarder in there. The UDI is still a laser Beamer, 272 on one occasion. The wind was a little stout, but overall a great round. No real “you dummy” shots, only an unfortunate huge hop into a pond that should have been unreachable….

I’ve got a good feeling about Denny McCarthy this week. (Who the …. Is Denny McCarthy?) I am not sure I can LIVe in this era of pro golf.
