  3. Right? I am really hoping it’s my week and I can land those 921’s. Maybe @xOldBenKenobiXcan share some of his magic juju with the rest of us. Help me @xOldBenKenobiX, you’re my only hope! (Get it? See what I did there?)
  4. The impressive flurry of activity on IG from this group continues today...
  5. My TS3 hyrbids finally came in! One round on them and I'm really liking them. Will play the 19 at the stock setting, and move the 21 degree to 22. I'm considering moving the weight to a fade bias too but waiting on that a bit. Next, new wedges. Either black SM8s, or ES21's...looking for some feedback from @Golfspy_CG2 on that front...
  6. Realized I've had some significant club turnover as of late so I figured I'd post an update here. Out: Epic driver, XR16 3 wood, CBX 119 hybrid, Scotty putter In: Honma TR20 460 driver, TE CBX 119 3 wood, Titleist TS3 hybrids, EVNROLL ER2B putter Likely to be a wedge change coming soon too...
  7. Exactly. Major OEMs I can find. But somehow it seems if a Pygmie tribe starts making ball markers from elephant tusks, @xOldBenKenobiXwill find a giveaway for it on IG. Kind of cool seeing us spies connect on other platforms too.
  8. Wow. That said, at the volume he's signing up for these it seems to be just simple math...I don't know how he even finds half of these giveaways.
  9. I'm doing SuperSpeed in the morning first thing, then immediately heading to the gym for weight-training. As @BMart519said, the speed is the priority so that is what comes first, and I just don't see how you could do it effectively after a workout. That said, I don't really see any negative effects on my workouts from doing SS first. The only caveat I'd offer is to pay attention to your ab work and probably do less volume in your workout to avoid overtraining, given the ab work you'll get from that many "max effort" golf swings.

  12. Man was I fired up to get back into the gym today! Took a forced 2-week break, and did a reasonably good job of doing stretching and mobility work, and I ate reasonably well to the point that I came back at the same weight as the start of vacation. I did a Level 2 SuperSpeed session Saturday before jumping back in to the routine full-time this morning. So, SuperSpeed Level 3 followed by: Dumbbell Incline Press - 70s, reps at 10, 2, 1, 1 Arnold Presses - 55s, reps at 9, 4, 2 Cable Pressdowns - 150, reps at 13, 5, 3, 3 Close-Grip Chins - 12, 3, 1, 1 Trap-Bar Deadlifts - 330, 2 sets of 8 I spent a lot of time doing some additional research and combing through the Fit for Golf blog, and I am making (or planning to make) some adjustments. He's a strong proponent on max effort at heavier weights and lower reps, hence my move to 330 pound deadlifts and 8 reps rather than my 12 rep sets from before. (I could have gone heavier and will the next time.) I'll also do 3 sets of 6 reps for box jumps instead of 2 sets of 10...those kind of adjustments to make sure I'm emphasizing power and explosiveness instead of muscular endurance, at least in the more golf-relative movements. For the rest of my workouts I plan to stay in the set and rep scheme I'm in to continue to chase size and strength gains, and then come January modify the workouts to maintain the mass I gain and make the entire workout program more "golf-centric"...all exercises maxing out at 8 reps, more use of med ball throws and explosive movements, etc. And, just to make sure I gain the mass I intended overall, I'll likely go past my original goal of 200 and get to 210, then see how hard it is to maintain that size once the training gets more golf-centric. Anyway, this is the stuff rattling around in my head while on a family trip!
  13. What was it specifically that you feel is going to help you get inside the ball going forward? If I start getting the rights I can usually trace it back to posture and early extension problems in my swing too.
  14. Made it back last Friday from two weeks in Erie visiting family. Lots of high-40s weather with drizzle so I didn't take my clubs, and sure enough ended up saying "what the hell" and playing with some rental sticks a couple times. Bad weather, bad clubs...bad scores. But, all in all, it was a good trip. Wife and I did shifts driving straight through the night, 14 hours each way, and while it's great for knocking the trip out while the kids are sleeping, I have to say I'm getting too old for that. I have to say my joints probably benefited from the time off from off-season training. Got back at it this morning...
  15. Damn. Really wanted to score those Aerotech i95’s, but no such luck...
  16. One week of this forced layoff down...this is KILLING me. Can’t wait to get back to training. My joints are probably benefiting from the time off, and I’ll certainly be as motivated as ever when I get back to it in a week. Have killed time following Fit for Golf and looking at different power movements. Plan to focus November and December on accumulating the mass I want, and then maintaining that and incorporating more golf specific power and explosion movements January-March.
  17. Ha, yeah I meant that trade but I say “fleeced” not to mean cheated or something, hope you didn’t take it that way. I was just receiver needy and I accepted that trade at 5 in the morning, and didn’t realize the 49ers other RB was going to the IR. Felt stupid for not doing the research first.
  18. Yeah, trades are tough. I got over-eager to make one and got fleeced earlier this week actually...
  19. Hmmm, should we trust intel from the guy with the best record in the league...
  20. Kind of the wrong question. Isolation of a particular muscle group isn't really what you're after if you're looking for strength and power gains. Squats, deadlifts, bench presses, rows, pull-ups...they're compound movements that tax the main muscle group but also supporting muscles as well, and help you build power and overall strength that will translate to golf. You may need to get creative...fill some duffel bags with books, things of that nature. It really would be worth your while to invest in some adjustable dumbbells to make what you're doing more effective.
  21. You didn’t get a little manual with it? it’s not hard at all. I’ll take pics of the necessary pages and send them to you.
  22. Always a consideration when not on an unlimited budget; we’re all hoping and planning to have a swing that’s better the next day than it was today...the club has to work for an improved action too.
