  1. Not eating until Saturday but smoked that bird today. Best weather day for the rest of the week. 15lbs @275 for 6hrs on hickory on the pellet grill.
  2. @tyler621 - your comments are spot on. PJ is pretty open but slow. KD normally closes over the winter as they sit over 7000 ft. There’s Antler Creek out in Falcon. Loooong course that is for the most part, very wide open. During the summer there’s Shining Mountain in Woodland Park. A mountain course that can be tight at times. I think it sits at 8200ft. A fun change of pace. My favorite is Pine Creek for 18 and Cherokee Ridge for a fun 9. Assuming you can get on
  3. Glad we have until the 20 of next month. Either the weather hasn’t cooperated or I’ve been busy on the nice days. 60 today but I’m tied up with work. Close to 50 on Wednesday but I’m smoking a turkey that day. Maybe next week will work out.
  4. @tyler621 - I played Pine Creek on Wednesday. Wasn’t an issue with crowds beyond the no clubhouse access rule. COVID has only slowed down the amount of golf I play due to the number of people playing. @RaginCajun - seems like it would be a long trip to drive down to Monument in order to play Kings Deer? I heard they’ve moved to a no cart rule? Walking only? That’s a long walk!
  5. Sitting on a useless call while watching the Masters. Showing upside down? Ugh.
  6. And the microwave is out. Thankfully it’s happened just as my mother-in-law left
  7. You are not obligated to see her when she shows up. Just say no. It’s your family you are protecting.
  8. We use the sticky traps. You are right, some mice don’t care for peanut butter. A supposedly good repellent is peppermint oil. Spray around the outside of the house, especially any possible openings. Works for spiders as well.
  9. Yeah, yeah. Now you’re talking. That would be a blast to play
  10. Yep, I’m in. Just donated . In fact I think I just joined your team Feel free to boot me out if you want to keep it local. Shaved this morning so I’m two days behind - lol
  11. Speaking of Dynapowers... Our local First Tee opened the indoor practice facility yesterday and also has used clubs for sale. A set of Dynapower irons, 2-9 are sitting there. $12 bucks! If anyone is interested, let me know. They may not last long. I think I am going to pass.
  12. Costco - https://www.costco.com/caddytek-3-wheel-golf-cart-with-swivel-front-wheel.product.100430232.html
  13. CaddyTek 3-wheel Golf Push Cart $109.99 Wannbe be a member of the pushcart mafia? Here’s your chance. Head over to Costco and pick up a deal on a CaddyTek.
  14. So does that mean these are worth more than $8.99?
  15. There’s always hair on my face but it’s kept trim. The bushiest was when I was acting in a passion play as a Pharisee. Such fun role! From back in 2014.
  16. @sirchunksalot - I think you gotta real thing going on here. We’re 9-10days away from starting and we’re already on page 3. Wait until November 1st gets here!
  17. Nice going. BTW, I come up with 33.63 instead of 36.37. Has to do with your handicap? Not sure how that works here. Now that you did the math, I will too. Just for fun since we don’t begin until Nov 1. =46-((117/113)*(18/2))+(72-69.3) = 39.38. I think I can do better with a little practice
  18. I only used my 2 iron once, wasn’t exactly flushed and only went a little over 180yds. Not a club you can muscle! Be smooth I’m with you can finding a sand wedge, I really missed having something shorter than the Hogan Equalizer PW. Nice club but it wants to fly! And of course the weather is turning next week here. 21 for a high on Monday. Fingers crossed the first of November will be warm enough to let me get out and play
  19. Oy! Found that the Apex II’s do not tolerate anything less than the middle of the face. The lofts are 3-4 degrees less than my Wilson C300 Forged so I was planning on adding an extra club on every shot. Missing the sweet spot means I still came up short. Wow. Only a couple of shots felt good and those are the ones that reached the green. My no-name persimmon driver had the pulls. Towards the end I was able to get a little length and straighten it out some. The shortest club in the bag was the pitching wedge, I needed less. From 60-80yds out, I consistently flew the green, it just took off. Ah, well. A good warm up round to see how they would play. +10 for 9 holes. Rating: 69.3 • Slope: 117 Handicap around 18 I guess, I don’t maintain one.
  20. We can carry but don’t need to actually hit the woods, right? Who needs a driver when you have a Hogan 2 iron? Playing 9 on Wednesday so I can see if the grips are playable or not. Apex II J, I still owe you a peek at the woods I picked up at Goodwill
  21. I ordered the insoles as well (thanks Amazon) I will do a lot of indoor range work this winter, with a launch monitor. I’m hopeful that the combination of numbers along with the visual of weight placement will teach me a lot. My biggest issue right now is if I start to use these right away or wait until Christmas
  22. If you can play there, you can play anywhere... It’s a place to have fun, not get serious on. Play winter rules, give yourself a good lie and swing away! Laugh, have some fun! Remember golf started in fields, not manicured lawns
  23. Played Wednesday at one of our better courses here in the Springs. Started off well with pars, a lone birdie and a double. Lost focus for a while kind of blew up for a bit. Still a decent score for me on this course. Slow as snot, the group two holes ahead were playing from the tips even though they didn’t have the game for it. Marshal just laughed when we suggested he should say something to them
