What's your favorite golf YouTube channel?
6 Million Dollar Man replied to arobledo1293's topic in The 19th Hole
I enjoy Bryan Bros., Me and My Golf and Rick Shiels. -
How long do you keep a pair of golf shoes?
6 Million Dollar Man replied to JP Balajadia's topic in Breaking News and Debate
Basic rule is two pairs of white and two pairs of black-all Skechers. Play 100 rounds but I ride. After playing, I always spray a squirt of Dr. Scholl's inside. Every few months I put some leather conditioner on them. Seem to last until I get bored with them before they wear out. -
Anyone completely ditched fairway woods in their bags?
6 Million Dollar Man replied to jbsap's topic in General Q&A
If I have a wide open shot for my 3w, then I hit it. I also hit it off certain tees. It's a tough pill to swallow but I need to hit my 5w on par 5 approaches for the most part. Tougher and tougher to reach in two these days. -
When is the first time you noticed that you’re old!
6 Million Dollar Man replied to Bchrismonroe's topic in General Q&A
Same here. Been fighting it ever since I lost it. I'm 73 and can still hit my driver 245 but that's 30 yards off just a few years ago. I try to remember a quote by Clint Eastwood when someone asked him about making a film at 92. He said he gets up each morning and "doesn't let the old man in". I try. LOL. -

Wood or plastic tees?
6 Million Dollar Man replied to Threeputtgame's topic in General Equipment Talk
Plastic. I use the short ones on the par threes and the long ones elsewhere. They last. -
Thanks for the birthday wishes! Playing today in the SC 93° heat!

Took my stupid pill this morning. LOL. Anyway, how do you reply directly to a post and quote it? TIA!

So I have been on the Maxfli Tour which is $120 for four dozen. Very happy with it. I like the Tour better than the Tour X. I have seen the SoftFli and noticed it is cheaper. Can anyone compare the SoftFli to the Maxfli Tour? Thank you.

Poll: Driving Range Warmup Before Playing a Round?
6 Million Dollar Man replied to Middler's topic in General Q&A
I hit about twenty on the range. I end with hitting a few shots that I will hit on the first two holes, an opening par 5 and short par 4. I need to putt more so thanks for the reminder. -
What's your favorite golf YouTube channel?
6 Million Dollar Man replied to arobledo1293's topic in The 19th Hole
I like the Bryan Brothers. Wesley's PGA career is fading now due to injuries. He has a wedge lesson on their channel that is second to none and has become my "go to" when I start hitting crappy wedges. I know their Dad very well. Solid family. They are rebuilding a golf course here in Columbia, SC. Filming construction as they go. I like Shiels. Man has such a huge YouTube following that he got to play the Masters this year. I assume as a press member. Also like Me and My Golf. All said I try nit to use too many videos for my swing. I am very picky what I save in my library.. I wish I could find a go to video on chipping. Nothing seems to work. LOL. -
When Do You Switch Putters?
6 Million Dollar Man replied to GolfSpy AFG's topic in General Equipment Talk
This time of the year the greens can be in transition, i.e. grasd popping out, getting cut and speeding up. That's one factor. But I will once in a while show my main putter the closet just to get a different feel. Not often, though. -
Planned 2030 Golf Ball Rollback
6 Million Dollar Man replied to PMookie's topic in Breaking News and Debate
My hero Nicklaus has been advocating this for years. Love Jack but he is wrong and if they indeed do this, was Arnie so wrong when he wanted more trampoline effect on drivers for amateurs? We used to do a "hard day" at our club where the pin positions were crazy hard. Downhill, sidehill, etc. Not saying the tour should be this extreme but they could move more in that direction. Maybe redefine par for the pros. You could do it on the par 3s by making them all 275 yds +. Just one example. -
Are Golfers Finally Starting to Balk At Driver Prices?
6 Million Dollar Man replied to Golfspy_CG2's topic in General Q&A
Had an interesting conversation about the future of golf and how us boomers dying off or getting too old to play would drive some clubs out of business. I think Covid may have saved the day by introducing the game to some younger generations such as Gen X, millennial, etc. That would be an interesting study.
