  1. Congrats on the new sticks! The black shafts with satin heads look sick! Definitely worth the wait.
  2. I had the 2021 5.5 and liked it, but the flow was too strong for my arc so I replaced it with the 2022 11 and it’s been fantastic so far. Head feels heavier and flows better for my less archy stroke.
  3. Another thing to consider is swingweight. This is going to change for the better or worse depending on what you like. I would have it checked after the build to see if you need to add lead tape to the head or a heavier grip.
  4. I just traded in my Cobra Grandsport 35 for a 2022 Scotty Phantom X11 35”. I had the 2021 Phantom X5.5 and traded it in for the Cobra. I just can’t get away from the feel, balance, and craftsmanship.

  6. I agree with MCGOLF, get a lesson or two from a local PGA Pro. I would also get your current irons spec checked from a local repair shop to check length, loft, lie, swingweight and so on for a starting point.

  8. I use Lamkin UTx Standard with 2 wraps. This brings you to a midsize without the extra weight. The UTx is .58 round which makes the circumference larger when installed.
  9. Putter fittings are key if you want to lower your score. You use your putter 18 times per round or 30 strokes (give or take a few) so having it dialed in to your preferences is a big deal. Swingweight, length, neck design, head shape, sight lines, and MOI are all contributing factors in the right putter for you. Without a proper fitting, you are sacrificing one or all of these. I worked in a repair shop and saw all kinds of Frankenstein projects people would try to improve their putting because they bought the putter off the rack or on eBay without being properly fit. As far as types of fittings go, Quintic and SAM are probably the best, so I would look for places or fitters that offer that service.
  10. I know I’m late to the party, but if you like the way it swings, I would strongly suggest having it swingweighted and lie angle checked before you cut the grip off and start modifying. Then have the counterweight weighed when it’s removed. This way you have some hard data to reference when you start figuring out extension length and grip weight to achieve the same swingweight. Then have it bent (if need be) to achieve the proper lie angle. Hope this helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. I’ve played a few more rounds with the XS and it’s by far the best ball I’ve ever played. I’ve done some head to head battles on the course a few times against the Pro V1 & TP5 and it stays in the top spot for me. The one major thing I’ve noticed lately is how much softer off the putter it feels vs the Pro V1 but has the same audible click.
