I recently tried P7MC and Jpx921 Tour, both with $taper. About 1000 revs less with P7MC resulting in meaningful distance differences from shot to shot. For me, Jpx921 tight on distance w better spin/distance control.

Every chance I get!! Always amazing to me how many able bodied people ride. Frankly, really sad. On a separate but related note, what's come of the caddie? Even at private clubs, many offering policy to use push carts. Again, really sad.

Anyone switch to the a black finish shaft after playing chrome their whole life. What did you think? Good choice or regret? Why? I'm looking at KMS and thinking about PVD Black in $taper.

Thanks Larry...been playing Pro V1 or Pro V1x for years, playing with marginal changes in spin. If I'm playing a match I pull out the Pro V1.

It’s not a visual thing. Introduce a bit of wind and the ball either balloons if into the wind or drifts on the wind if side wind. Just feels like if I could bring the launch and spin down a slight bit I’d have better performance when conditions are not optimal. Not looking for big change here just trying to tweak flight on stock shots. Probably most noticeable with 8-pw. thanks!

Looking for suggestions on options to lower ball flight. I'm looking to tinker with my backup set - Titleist 990's with S300. Great irons, but they launch just a little too high and w plenty of spin. Looking for lower, more controlled ball flight. Club speed ~88-89, ball speed ~121. Heads are already bent 2* strong, so need to look at shaft options. Any thoughts?

Mizuno QC at about the 6 minute mark...1*tolerance

I still have a QC sheet from Titleist when I ordered the 990's back in 2000. Was signed by a QC staff and included pen markings on each loft/lie checked and handwritten swingweight for each iron. Going forward, will make sure I get orders shipped to retailer where I bought them and have them check before I take 'em home = peace or mind

Understood...would be nice if Mizuno would send a QC sheet w the iron delivery showing what the measured specs are post-build for custom orders. Makes me question if they are doing QC post-build.

Thanks RB. I'm looking at 921 tour and P7MC. Interesting that same shaft produced 800 more revs in the P7MC, so yes, head does make a difference.

My QC issue with Mizuno was on loft/lie. I ordered std lofts and 2 degrees upright. All lofts were off basically by 1 degree, but lie angle was all over the map. Crazy!

Anyone move from DG S300 or X100 into $-Taper 120? What's your experience?

Depends on how much of the back of the ball I can see! For me, its all about the lie and playing the %'s.

Hi All: Just brought my SIM 3W back to the store after I found a crack in the bottom middle of the frame and in the face also. When I returned it to the shop they had 2 other SIM clubs there with the same issue. They replaced it w a SIM 2 3W, which is great! Is this a large scale problem with the SIM? and SIM 2? or any manufacturer with speed pocket?

I went for MMC's in November.....great choice! I might go HMB in the long one's after this season.
