Regardless of the quality, the products are priced at a level where very few people would even consider them, let alone who is winning with their stuff (outside of LIV). $400 for a putter shaft... ok, bye.

I just wish I could find a modern frame that I like as much…

Right now I wear blublockers for day to day use, but I also have Oakley M frames from like 2002. I really need new lenses for them if I was going to wear them for golf. Curious if anyone knows if replacement lenses can be found anywhere. I haven’t had much luck. I have a hard time finding the right frame that will fit me and look good.

Interested to hear the testers thoughts on these wedges. As a glide 3.0 user for a few years now I have been tempted to order the new S159 wedges as they bring some newly added grinds along with some other new features to their wedge line.

Not a fan of mcc due to the difference of the grip top to bottom. I play tour velvet cord except my wedges which are Lamkin Crossline cord. Z cord were way too stiff for me. I’d guess both z cord or tour velvet cord would be more durable from my experience with them.

I find myself rarely using my 3 wood into par 5’s anymore. It tends to be mostly a tee club, and in that case why not have a larger head/face that will provide additional forgiveness. It’s a one trick pony kind of club, but if that’s all you use your 3 wood for you won’t be missing out on much.

My blueprint S set arrived last week and with some warm weather that showed up over the weekend I was able to get out and hit the PW and 6 iron at my clubs range. Brought a shag bag of some pro V1’s and my launch monitor. I was a bit rusty at first with toe strikes, which surprised me how forgiving they are. Coming from a muscle back blade I expected some forgiveness, but actually seeing the ball fly along with numbers to show that I was barely losing any distance was a bit surprising for such a compact players iron. It was the well struck shots that were the real highlight of the session, high but still piercing with plenty of spin. 6 iron was carrying about 192 or so on center strikes with spin in the low to mid 6000 range. PW was flying about 145 with spin in the 9000 range. When I originally ordered them my plan was to combine them with my miura short irons, but now I’m thinking I will play the full set of BPs. As I further test them, spin on the short irons will be a main point of interest. Also looking forward to testing the 3 iron, and compare it to my t100 first gen 3 iron that I love as a tee club off short par 4’s. Looking for similar distance but with a tad more height and spin to increase green holding ability.

Not sure why everyone has so much hate. If it’s not your cup of tea, move on and go buy a $100+ polo with a wolf on it if that’s your spirit animal.

From my experience lately with mizuno MP blades is that they are soft as anything. Almost makes the ball feel like a marshmallow, in a good way! Vastly different than most of the other blades I have hit. I prefer the more solid feel my miuras provide, but the mizuno is a great feel as well, just different. Prob don’t need to get fit again, but ya never know if something is better without trying. Me personally if I was happy with the shaft I am in I’d just stick with them.

I find it so interesting the test thread for the new Qi10 drivers is at 7 pages long already, not even halfway through the day, but this thread is only two pages deep. I will say I absolutely love the look to it at address, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen a TM crown that clean.

Getting close to s159 pre order and release date. Looks like 2/13/24 pre orders open. would love to pre order but also would like to see the new wedge grinds first. Thinking 52s, 56s, and 60h… but might hold off on the 52/56 as my glide 3.0 are still in good condition.

Michigan vs everybody. …is there an asterisk next to Tom Brady’s name, or do we all just see him as a 7 time Super Bowl champ. undefeated season, beat Ohio state without harbaugh, beat bama, national champions. But everyone is crying over a sign stealing allegation. Washington and Alabama are in different conferences, and rarely play Michigan, so doubtful any sign stealing was involved there. And it’s ok to review game tapes, but you can’t go and watch live and record yourself. You can even review video during halftime of that game. But no you can’t go and watch another team play live. Makes sense.

Interesting to see someone prefer the OG over the T. How did dispersion and miss hits compare between the two? And what shafts were you trying/fit in to?

if you are looking for more spin, the new blueprint S could be right up your alley. They definitely produce more spin than most clubs in that range, especially considering their lofts are slightly stronger than a traditional players iron/blade. Cobra King Tour might also be a solid option. Your best bet might be to go get fit to see what can give you the numbers you want. The mizuno combo set could be an option but the short irons will be demanding compared to what you are gaming.

Called ping, they do have modus tour 125. Now to decide what to order, 3-5, or the whole set??? Lol

I was thinking of ordering the blueprint S irons, but when I went to order them, the store was saying nippon modus 125 was not available. 120 and 130 were an option. Does anyone know if this accurate, even as a custom up charge?

I love the VIP V foil, such a classic looking blade with a nice amount of offset, along with the diamond stamping framing the grooves. I played the cb/mb combo set in high school. Cleanest blades go to Miura Giken TB zero imo. So simple and pure in every aspect.

Interesting, never have had an issue with mine yet. My local course range is mats and no clubs over 200. So sometimes I use my net to warm up and never had an issue with a ball at driver ball speeds.

I have the costco gosports net, so far it's been great, setup is super quick too if you need something to breakdown often.

Leave the ball alone, roll the driver back.

it looks like the std loft for the 4 iron is 22.5*. If the irons are bent strong 1* your 4 iron is more like a 3 iron. If your carry is 200 with it on a good strike, you are just not creating enough speed and energy with the setup you have. Strong lofts, graphite shafts, and blades, to me, just don't mix well.

I've been playing the glide 3.0's for a few years now. Ping is moving in the right direction with the new S159 line. Great looks with the addition of some new grinds and finishes. Hope they keep the same performance, maybe just a tad less spin on full shots.
