Sub 70 is no stranger to MyGolfSpy Forum testing. We have featured their products in several testing opportunities over the years. For 2024, we have a special product that we are excited to bring to our membership: the Sub 70 Pro V2 Fairway Woods.

About The Pro V2 Fairway Woods

This fairway wood from Sub 70 is their newest wood release and is packed with technology. It features their Dual Face Technology, which has two separate faces filled with a TPE resin in between. The forward face has variable face thickness to help increase ball speeds across the face and increase distance for golfers.

The Pro V2 also features a dual weight system for ball flight, swing weight, and MOI adjustability, as well as a carbon fiber crown. Standard weights feature a 2-gram front weight and a 9-gram rear weight, with extra weight options available.

As there is no adjustable sleeve featured on the Pro V2, it is offered in three lofts from 15 to 21 degrees (or 3-wood to 7-wood).

Sub 70 claims the Pro V2 is the ultimate in power and workability, which is where you come in.

The Testing Opportunity

We are looking for four golfers to test, review, and keep a Sub 70 Pro V2 fairway wood of their choice. Testers will be required to get on course and launch monitor data to compare to their current fairway (or comparable club) and provide feedback to our community.

We want to know how it performs and if their claims of distance and workability are true. Will it be able to knock your current club out of the bag? Let’s find out!

I am particularly interested in this test since I use a three wood off the tee about 70% of the time.  Interesting they went dual face I thought that tech had died a few years ago. My dual face driver cracked after a couple of rounds so naturally I assumed they all did that.Lol

I just started a job at a store with a large selection of golf clubs, launch monitors and other sporting goods.

Looking for a fairway wood that gives mid to high launch and has a hot face.  This Sub 70 with its low profile looks like it may be a contender when I put it against my current Ping G425 3 wood with its Ping 65 SR shaft.  Would love to be a test for this great looking product.

Awesome opportunity. Will be following as I always tinker with the top of my bag. I know a few folks on here had there 949x woods and loved them. Hopefully the same goes for the V2 Pro. I do need a 4w that won’t hook on me off the tee and/or a slightly more consistent 7w setup, both in the future. Good look to those who apply.

I use the Ping G425 max 3w and would love to see how others compare to it. I use mine quite often on the course. So this would be a club I could really put to the test.

Happy Golfing!!

I have always wondered what these FW would feel like.  I'd love to put the 18° or 21° in my bag.  With me being retired, they will have plenty of time to see play on the course and in front of a Trackman.  😎

I game the 949 x Pro in 3 wood (along with 639 combinations, 949 pro hybrid) and I was literally looking at the  Pro V2 on the web site last night! This is a great opportunity to try this new tech from Sub 70. I’m really intrigued by the dual face!

good luck to all

Like the clean look!  I find the lower profile “half pancake” woods much easier to launch with a senior swing speed than the higher faced fairways!

Lots out there so interested in seeing the results - especially from a slower swing speed.  I find all the hype on new clubs, especially drivers, is geared to a swing speed approaching the pro level to achieve what manufacturers are advertising!

I’m in the market for a new fairway wood.  The new Sub 70 woods look great and with their innovated technology should deliver on performance.  I’m game to game them.

The only club I’m missing!

Good luck to all those who get selected. Take it from me, Sub 70 is a great brand with great clubs and amazing employees.

My friends whole bag is sub 70 and he loves them. I will be curious if I am picked to see if these clubs can out perform my epic flash fairways, I doubt it. The epics are the easiest to hit fairways I have ever owned out of any lie. Thanks for another great opportunity.
