Swing weights Different

Recommended Posts

I need some help. I got a swing weight scale today and below is what I got as measurements. My guess is this is not helping my game.

They are built 1/2" long, no I don't have any Xrta tape under the grips, and no lead tape on the heads.

With the swing weights be different and the overall weight not really consistent . Or maybe its much ado about nothing.

Thank you for your tome and opinion.Woods Ping G410

By adding the 1/2",  you added 3 SW points so that is how you got to where you are.   Hard to say what the SW should be for any person, but your iron/wedge weights are pretty high.    You can put heavier grips on to drop the SW if you are having trouble swinging them.    Can't judge anything with total weight as components are all different weights;  but they should increase in total wieght as you go through the set.

The wedges are a bit heavy not d5/6 is about atandard across the board for wedges. My vokeys sm7 were d5 and stayed when I put recoils in them.

You can find a lot in the D5 range;  Ping defaults to a bit lighter.   D4 is their high end.   Switching shafts probably wouldn't change the SW,   length or grip changes are the biggest influences.
