Mrf@0000843
I was thinking of replacing the lead tape on all of my irons with tungsten weights. since tungsten is heaver the total amount to be used would be less instead of several strips of tape. several sizes and pre weighted strips or just cut to size could minimize the amount of lead strips now in use. also i think a more precise fitting and placement of the tungsten could be made. anyway going to get some tungsten and see what happens. any other thoughts on this idea. thanks guys
BADFanBoi Scotty
Where would you be putting these weights? Tape is able to be put on th extreme (Outside) whereas if you're using tungsten tip weights, it'd raise the CoG of the club head, lower launch and more spin. Calvo90
If we are talking about substantial weight, I would prefer to put the additional weight behind the impact spot. This way the weight can be used to increase ball speed. The effect is not revolutionary but I will take every mph I can have, Quote G425 MAX, 10,5°, Fujikura Ventus Blue 60S Stealth Plus 10,5°, Fujikura Pro 2.0 TS, 60S The Original One Mini Driver, 13,5°, Fujikura Ventus Red 70S G425 MAX 5 wood, 7 wood, Tensei AV Orange 75R Z U65 4, Z565 5-6, Z765 7-8 , Z965 9-PW, Project X 5.5, Glide 4.0, 52°, Z-115, 58°, Z-115 ER5, 34'', Gravity Grip
