Hi,

we are flying from Europe to LAX end of February and planning to take two week golf trip. Planning was to drive either Palm Springs or further to Phoenix.

Goal is to get good weather and concentrate only to play plenty of golf with reasonable costs (<150USD/round). What do you think of those areas? Any other locations to consider?

thank you

... Since Covid hit Phoenix, in winter has gotten silly expensive, especially during Spring Training. Courses I play for $39-49 in the summer are $250-350 in the winter and that is Golffnow pricing. There are bargains if you look hard enough but they are few and far between.

I played at Ocotillo in Chandler this past Friday (https://ocotillogolf.com).  First time playing in the Phoenix area so I have nothing to compare it to but it’s a beautiful course.  Greens were a bit beat up from players not repairing their ball marks but they rolled fine.

Tight course, lots of water, tough sloping greens.  It’s not easy but I enjoyed it.

I think the resident price is $79.
