What are you using to calculate your handicap?

if you play the same holes and tees all the time, there is no need to use an index -- just calculate course handicap

We don’t play the same courses; there are 6 courses that are used and depending on how crowed the course is  you could play the front or back any given week.   Our league calculates an index and course handicap, for each course and 9 holes and an 18 hole handicap for the championship/member tournament.

For years I used a handicap app on my phone but knew it wasn't official. About 7 or 8 yrs ago a friend invited me to his club member/guest so it was time to establish an authentic index in order to participate in those types of competitive tournaments so I signed up for GHIN and still do that today. It's like $50/year and there are a lot of features I don't even use, including stats. Maybe one day.

I have a GHIN through my state group (MD).  I also play Spark Golf, which keeps it's own separate handicap, limited to 18/9 holes (so effectively 36/18), which is a problem considering I'm a 46 handicap via GHIN...but...meh.

I do wish Spark would follow the USGA and allow up to 54 handicaps...but...I'll get over it

Sure, I'll play a round with ya.  I'll suck though.
