I have been wanting to try l bingo bango bongo! It's a great game for developing etiquette.
I have played one putt poker a few times.
    One putt poker:
Everyone buys in for said amount and gets one playing card. For any one putt you get an additional card. Any hole out gets two cards. Score on the hole doesn't matter at all. Player with the best poker hand at the end wins. Ties are broken by the player with more cards or split. All you need is a deck of cards per foursome.
    Another game is "Polies"
Anyone who makes a putt longer than the flag stick is immediately paid $1 from the other players ( including hole outs). You just carry a few bills to pass around during the round.
Both are Great games for higher handicappers because score doesn't matter.

I don't think there are wrong answers here, I'm curious what everyone thinks!
I say alignment because of how all the problems that can snowball from poor alignment.

@silver & black as in not making it on time or just making a tee time lol!
and as most people already hit the main ones, i definitely agree with the "trying to apply every swing tip from every instructor". Everyone has a different teaching style and is not correct for everyone. I say choose one teacher (Youtube or in person) and stick with them. I stuck with Clay Bollard from Top Speed Golf and definitely helped my game.
Also not taking your medicine when needed! Hit that punch out from behind the tree instead of trying the hero shot like someone else said.
Don't think anyone mentioned not using the right clubs. Always shake my head when I see 20+ handicappers using bladed irons because "that is what the pros use."

Taking a lesson (because they need it) and expecting results after hitting a large bucket of balls.  Pros tweak their swing, and they will take weeks if not months to make it work, and they are good.

Swing-wise: Their stance & setup gives them no chance to put the club on the ball solidly. 10 minutes with a pro and some alignment sticks would do wonders.
Course management-wise: Not playing within their abilities. Driver on every hole, usually wild. Trying to carry bunkers, penalty areas with no prayer. Underclubbing. Basically, not understanding what shots they are capable of hitting consistently and hitting those.

Id say trying to play the hero shot.  Just because you actually pulled It off once doesn't mean its going to work even most of the time and sometimes you need to just take your medicine and get it back into the fairway instead of trying to hit the 200 yard shot out of the rough and over water.

Not taking our punishment when in the rough. When you hit a shot into the trees and you try to hit a recovery shot that has a minimal success rate instead of simply just trying to get it back on the fairway

Gift card is always easy.  A dozen golf balls of his favorite brand/ball is kind too.  We all know how quickly we blow through golf balls

I played a lot of weekend late evening 9 hole rounds this summer to squeeze in some golf when I could.  I ended up playing at least a few holes with a lot of different people.  90% of them were at least 20+ 'cappers and most seemed to have some sort of basic set up problem....grip, alignment, ball position, posture, etc.  The swing usually went off the rails from there.
I also like DaveP's underclubbing choice.

Buying new clubs to fix a problem, pay for lessons. You can play with old clubs and still be very good. And like the above post said trying to fix problems watching youtube videos. you need to know the route cause to fix the problem. Everyone has a different swing there is not a one swing for everyone don't fix what aint broke.

Trying every swing tip they find on YouTube or some golf website to fix a symptom and not a cause.

    Welcome to MyGolfSpy!!
One of the most common is underclubbing.  "One time 4 years ago I hit my 7-iron 175 yards, so that's that I'm hitting from 175 today."
