  1. No but I tried to be careful who I purchased it from (as best I knew) It's performing well so far too so I just take my chances I guess, but I knew that going into it.
  2. Just installed one in a driver, I have 2 rounds and 2 range sessions with it, so far so good. Fingers crossed cause I bought it off ebay so I won't get any warranty with it.
  3. Get the Maxfli Tour They are $35 per dozen but they often have 2 dozen for $60 ($2.50 per ball) OR get the 4 dozen pack for $105 ($2.19 per ball) Here's the Best of for 2022 https://mygolfspy.com/the-best-golf-balls-of-2022/ Here's the Ball Lab review https://mygolfspy.com/ball-lab-maxfli-tour-review/
  4. I did this for years (played right, putted left) it was just a holdover from when I played hockey (lefty) but righty for every other sport.
  5. Thought of doing the same, removing it from the Srixon driver since it's not worth much anyways, installing a tip on it and repurposing it.....as I type this I think I just decided to do that haha
  6. Well since @chisagis adding photos here's the range at my home course. Also I'm like him and have multiple home courses in summer vs regular season. This was my "home" for a week and a half for over 10 years
  7. Papago Golf Course, Phoenix, AZ https://papagogolfclub.com/ https://golf.com/course/papago-golf-americas-best-munis/
  8. Couple pairs of Oakley Prizm Golf and Prizm Dark Golf https://www.oakley.com/en-us/prizm/golf
  9. I'd say the Blue was the one that paved the way (I still have the Blue CompNT Proto in a 3-wood) but the Speeder 757 is probably THE GOAT in terms of popularity and history. Ventus may very well take over.
  10. Love the 2nd version of this, not the yellow/purple but the first time they did black/yellow. Still in my Srixon Z-RW driver and in rcent head-to-head with some newer drivers, it performs pretty well.
  11. Gamed a lot of cool stuff over the years Hybrex - This actually stayed in my fairway wood a long! Stulz - Took a while to get the right flex but when I did it performed pretty consistently. Ultimately one of my customers begged and gave me too good an offer to pass up to buy it from me. Accuflex Evolution - Loved this one in my Callaway FT-3 But I still game some Matrix OZIK shafts (the Apache versions, not LA GOLF) and I still game some original Project X and Rifle Spinners shafts back from when they were made by Royal Precision. I ended up buying a bunch of Matrix shafts before I closed my shop for my own stash. Also my Rifle Spinners just keep moving to my wedges when I replace them.
  12. Fit indoors to eliminate outside variables (wind, temperature, range balls, etc) but then verify outdoors. In my history of being fit and fitting others, it was usually from the launch monitor set to normalized, different altitude, or roll settings. Therefore I rarely ever pay attention to total distance as well. When I recently got fitted for new irons, I was fit indoors, had a 7-iron built so that I could take outdoors. My outdoor numbers on trackman varied only slightly from the indoor trackman (normalization was off) Now that I've had the whole set built and practice indoors and outdoors often, so at least in my situation, the numbers are close to each other.
  13. I've been using the Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G on a few clubs and like it, just wipe down and it's good to go again. Also, just got one of these Super Stroke grips to try and so far in 2 range sessions and 1 round, it's got a nice feel, slightly softer with still good traction.
  14. Similar to you, was gaming a Sonartec SS-07 13° and like so many times the answer is just get fit. Can't really go wrong with a lot of the heads now days but matching the right head and right shaft means all there difference. I've tried several heads and different shaft combos and they all perform pretty well but depends on the gap and flight you're looking for, some hit too far, some too high, etc.
  15. I tested several oems against the new level irons. I wasn't paid, sponsored, encouraged , or otherwise on my purchase. I even was paying for them on my own and am super happy with my 623-CBs (my only disappointment perhaps was that I wanted a combo set of CB and MB) I got a set of NL with super upgraded shafts for even less than some OEMs stock offerings. Now if money wasn't a thing and I had an open bank account...NL would have been tied for 1st based on my fitting and launch monitor sessions with multiple brands A flaw in the testing perhaps is not testing all from this and previous years, which the writer admitted is tough to do when accommodating all the testers. Not saying you're doing this but I find it funny when a big company wins people moan they paid for the win (ala GD hot list) then when a small company wins it's because they didn't have oems to compete against or that it was rigged somehow.
  16. In past forum I mod'ed we had an inside joke that no matter the question, within 5 posts it would always come back to shafts Back to this topic though. Like someone else said, personal preferences aside it's nice to see a win for the little guys. I chose my New Levels after getting back into the game and re-evaluating all my equipment, ego and brand preference aside and just wanting the best gear for my game. I went through several fittings with other brands and models, the 623-CB and MB's offered great performance and at a phenomenal value! Also my .02, it would be nice to see a multi-year comparison, not just the stuff released in 2022, since not every manufacturer is on the same release schedule. And to compare to last year's winners as well.
  17. Having demo’d and tried many irons before landing on the 623-CB’s for myself, these are fantastic irons! Another important thing I’ll point out it, is that they came in exactly on spec for loft, lie, and swingweight. So many manufacturers have a +/- 2 for these specs and mine were spot on!
  18. Another reason I love living in AZ, what's daylight savings time?
  19. After photographing, them demo'ing them all. I ordered New Levels and just started playing my set, so far they're great!
  20. Every couple years, I'd say seasons, but we can play year round here. Used to always buy 2 sets of wedges, one for tournaments and one for everyday. I may go back to that once I start playing more competitive rounds.
  21. Always happy to help Two best tips to get you started. Use a tripod when possible, any camera, especially phone cameras, it will eliminate so much of the shakes and blurs in photos. Make sure everything is well lit, you can always make a photo darker but phone cameras don't do well in low light and it's tougher to make photos lighter that look well. With that, watch your reflections, shiny object pick up nasty reflections sometimes. In the studio, I also have jig setup to hold the club (or other products, like glass, or jewelry) or my lights in very specific spots to make sure the lines are perfect.
  22. Oh I didn't take it that way, we're cool I own a studio with multiple photographers, I don't take the family portraits, unless I know or like the family but we are a little higher that the average, just because we stylize a little more and we sell products more than just sell the digitals. That's just our business model though but yeah I wouln't pay our prices haha kidding
  23. We (photographers) can be expensive but it's also a business for many, and unlike hobbyist, we have staff and other overhead to cover. We're also highly responsible for the quality of the marketing material that companies use, thus the impression consumers have on that product or company, I'm biased of course
  24. People will always have money for what they want or "need" I remember in the middle of the pandemic when people were getting laid off that shopping would be down. Then I took a photo of the line outside the Louis Vuitton store. People will still and always find the money for the things they want. I tell my staff that with my business. Everyday people buy Ford and Chevy, also everyday people buy Ferrari and Lamborghini.
