We had a round today. 168yd par 3 over water. Wind coming in at about 2 o'clock so clubbed up to a hybrid and hit a beautiful draw that carried about 165yd and rolled out to about 172. Made the 15ft down hill putt for birdie.
This was after my playing partner chipped it in on the previous par 3 with a texas wedge from about 50 ft and also had an eagle with a 35 foot putt. Shots were falling today.

Didn't buy anything but finally took out all my recently purchased new toys and they worked well. Shot a course personal best today. 
PSA take your irons and wedges in yearly for loft and lie checks! I checked mine and some were WAY off! The adjustments paid dividends on the course today.

Other way around. Larger hybrid head on a fairway wood shaft is a super hybrid. Just like what Callaway makes and Cleveland with the Hy-wood. Although Cleveland puts a fw face on it. 

Had my wedge fitting today and it went very well. Jason Terry was my fitter and did a nice job. Was fitted into a 46-10F for my much needed gap wedge and 50-12F, 54-12D, and 58-12D to finish out the set. This an increase in bounce for the three lower lofts and provided some real nice turf interaction from what I had been experiencing. I am also converting from steel shafts to Steel Fiber graphite shafts and as is normal for me +1" in length.
I ordered the needed 46* and then the 58* as its grooves were pretty well worn out although I have seen worse. Should have them in a couple of weeks and if they work and feel the way I hope they will I'll pull the trigger on the 50* and 54*.

Bought my Summer supply of Srixon Z Star Diamonds on the Fathers Day sale.  Just an awesome ball!  Delivery next week.  

I'm not buying anything yet, but for whatever reason a complete bag shakeup outside of driver and putter is seriously in play. I've got a lot of thoughts and ideas and a lot of time before next season to ruminate and consider... which for me is a very very dangerous game.

I didn't buy anything,  but for those who are...

Just got these, as my on-course glasses are...not awesome.  Trying these out and hoping they're a keeper.

I bought myself the Ping G425 3 wood to match my Ping G425 LST driver, which has changed my game! I used to play with a Callaway 3 wood and after the change to Ping, I gained 20 meters (22 yards). This means I can hit the 3 wood on a tighter tee shot without losing so much distance and it is also now possible to reach par 5s in 2 easier! What brand of woods do you guys play with?

She'll be mad, but usually it's OK when I sell my older clubs. I just don't want to collect lefty clubs since they are tougher to sell than rightys.
I tested the Callaway Epic Superhybrid and the 21* was long and super forgiving, so I ordered that and the 18* 3 hybrid. I'm going to turn them both down 1 degree and replace my 5 wood and 3H. Despite switching from 3W to 5W, I just can't seem to consistently hit woods as straight as my hybrids so after five years of trying, it's time for something new and the 3H at 17* should go as far as my 5W based on my testing. These were $500 new when released in 2022 and I got them for about $100 and $110 from Callaway's eBay store in like new condition with Steelfiber shafts.
I also ordered an Odyssey Number 10 slant neck from Callaway's eBay store because it ranked so high in Most Wanted from 2021 and I just sold my O-Works #7.

Well done! That thing is sharp.
