I forgot to put in my little cook from the weekend. I did a whole chicken on the kettle using the Vortex. One thing I learnt is that I need to put more coals in the kettle and put the lit from the chimney on top. The full chimney of coals wasn't enough to start. I sprinkled the chicken with Naturiffic Chicken salt and we had sugar snap peas, cucumber, onion and dill salad and dressing.

Played like arse yesterday. Fuming a bit about the V3 bricking itself and shot a 93. Highlight was the tee shot on #7. It's a shorter par 4 but narrow, so I always use 3 wood off the tee for accuracy. Woods left and a reachable pond on the right, so 3 is a good idea. Smashed it 250 yards down the left side...longest I've ever hit that club.

There was a time when I would have repeatedly punched something in rage about it, but I stewed a little bit then settled into the valley of deep depression. Sh!t happens, I'm over it and am getting used to the 4XL.

I had to buy a new phone last night. I was in a foul mood when I left the course yesterday afternoon after a horrible round and left my phone on the bumper of my truck. Didn't realise it wasn't with me until about halfway home when I got on the interstate. Went back to the course and as follows my luck, it didn't fall off in the parking lot, it fell off on the main road outside of the course. This was the result of 50+ cars running over it. It used to be a Pixel 3XL, so I "upgraded" to a Pixel 4XL.

Sunscreen recommendations

Funnily enough Consumer Reports put out the results of their sunscreen review that I got this week. Their top performing spray was actually Trader Joes brand, followed by Neutrogena Sun defense, then Hawaiian Tropic Island Sport. As for me, I'm finishing up a can of Up & UP (Target house brand) that's been well rated over the years. -

1 better than last week for a 92...it's getting better but still a steaming pile. I had a good hole or two and then a complete mental break down, then another good hole. No idea what was going on, it was rough.

I smoked cigarettes for over 30 years and finally kicked them due to vaping. I still vape, but I make my own juice so I know what it contains. My Doctor is happy and it has reduced my blood pressure to the point where I no longer have to take medication, which I had been taking since I was 18. I used to hit a cigar when I played golf, but I hadn't had one in quite a while until March when I played with @revkev, @fozcycle and @00sportsman at Innisbrook. Rev handed them out, I had it and about 3/4 of the way through I said to Rob, now I know why I quit smoking them.

Played there once, when the 9th was the 18th or vice versa. The fairway has a pretty good right to left slope.
