I would definitely give up 15 yds - max of 20, if I were to hit the fairway 60% of the time. I’ll take 280 in the fairway every single day. My iron play is good, so that would definitely take me from a 3hdcp to scratch

I would definitely prefer accuracy over distance.  All the distance in the world doesn't help if your having to the hit your approach or of some trees or trying ty get your ball out of a pond

I would give up distance for accuracy for sure. It’s hard to hit greens in regulation from the rough, behind trees, or from hazards. Fairways don’t always lead to pars or birdies but they certainly are more likely to end-up with lower scores.
    Cheers

Tighter dispersion so I hit more fairways in regulation. I would absolutely sacrifice distance. I’ve always said I’d gladly hit 230 to the middle of the fairway instead of 260 to the tall grass.  But alas my slice rears its head

Well...At my age (Let's say close to 60), my game has switched to that by default. After returning from health issues, I found my distance game was nothing. So, I relied on accuracy to keep up with my overall game. Honestly, I should have gone this way right from the get-go. I find I am enjoying the game a lot more and saving money not having to look for goofballs that have gone in whatever direction.

Don’t have a go to; lie and intent determine club selection.

There should be 1 of 2 things.
    1. A free small bucket of balls (20 or so) included for the range with every tee-time
    2. A short 90ish yard warm-up hole that you can hit an approach, a pitch (half-way) to the green, and a few chips on to ahead of your round.
2b. Putting should not be needed here, because by default they should have a putting green for you to warm up on ahead of time.
In an ideal world that is what I would want anyway.

Hybrids are obviously great clubs for the right players, but I've never enjoyed success with them.
I hate to be  stereotype because in more ways I'm an outlier,
but honestly, I can't not turn them over.

I've not had much experience with hybrids, but the limited sample size wasn't enough to supplant my 5 Wood nor my long irons. In my beginning stages it was a confidence club - off the tee, fairway or in the rough - and has been a mainstay as a result. I have, however, found myself looking at the Callaway UW 19* with some interest as of late. I'm not married to the 5w but it's not something I would ever replace completely either. I do like to build my bag based on the course and/or conditions to some extent, so having options is a plus. I don't see it making a permanent exit.

Not sure if it's one in the same but I have a Rescue Mid 2 FW at 16* if you want it. It hasn't seen a golf ball in years. Definitely used but free (just pay shipping from CA) and in working order. Stiff Fujikara TP shaft at 41.5" attached.

5w (Callaway UW 19º) for me as i've always struggled with any hybrid even after lessons. I can move my hands down on the UW a bit to get the ball out of most any rough. If I cant then i doubt a hybrid would help. Also looking to add a 7w to possibly replace the 4i.
