  1. The internet is your friend; go to their websites and find the product you want. The site will tell you if and how much is in stock at each store. You can even buy in advance and it will be waiting when you get there.
  2. If you have stats, share them with your instructor.
  3. Watched them on ESPN+ and they are on my list of things to do.
  4. Doesn’t really matter the shot. Could be a drive, approach, pitch shot, or even a putt.
  5. You asked what I was doing different and I mentioned fixing setup. Adding to that since what I have been doing seems to help. I have started doing what is referenced in the article linked below and it has helped both pulls and pushes and seems to have given me better start line control. similar to what I do with my right arm on full swings so it seems to make sense for putting. https://www.golfdigest.com/story/phil-kenyon-putting-mistake-pull-putts
  6. This should probably be in the cobra connect thread, but I wonder if @chisagmight be worried that people think you are a pro . Maybe it was just because you had cobra branding on everything and not how you looked?
  7. The shot I was visualizing matching up to the shot I hit.
  8. I think you are looking at this incorrectly. The question that should be asked is does the drill help golfers swing better and have a closer match up to the numbers you are assessing. Drills are often exaggerations that can result in making a more mechanically sound swing. To do the analysis you want, you would need to capture the swing dynamics of someone that has the problem the drill is trying to fix and then measure the swing after performing the drill to see if the movement pattern aligns with what you want to see.
  9. Stand up action; I know it is tough to be the center of something like this and I wish you luck and hope you win the next contest.
  10. League night. Team got win number two on the season and I played pretty well; one bad shot resulted in one bad hole. 5 FW, 7 GIR, 17 putts: 39 One birdie, one bogey, and one triple. All cylinders were firing today as can be seen by my fairway and green numbers. Putting was Final hole; in the fairway; 130 to the flag and I just didn't hit it well and splash. drop, iron to just off the green in some crappy grass, chip, and 2 putts for a stupid triple.
  11. Laser Rangefinders can be used on a range; you can use it to get exact distances to spots on the range so you can evaluate how far you are hitting a ball. range vs real ball is a different discussion.
  12. First thing is to assess your game and identify where you think you might need improvement, how much time you are willing to invest in the improvement, and how much you are willing to spend. You didn’t vibe with your last coach so identify what you expect from a coach. next find coaches that are in you price range, see if you can find reviews, and then schedule a lesson/interview to evaluate your game. After the lesson have the instructor provide a plan for improvement and see if it aligns with what you are looking for.
  13. Won’t that just tell you where your face is pointed at setup, which at 2 feet unless you are really open/closed should go into the hole? Shouldn’t you be more concerned about face angle at impact and how the putter is moving through an actual stroke to produce the miss? edit: did a search for the drill and it seems to be about accelerating through and finishing the stroke.
  14. Looking forward to this as well; especially meeting some new spies.
  15. Looking forward to reading these reviews. @cksurfdude, get your specs in quickly, only 3 weeks until the trip and getting the group to test out the Paradym driver
  16. I have read comments from LAB posted in other places that say no. Other companies like Edel and Seemore use similar terms. Zero torque simply means the head resists twisting as it moves through the stroke and they all probably accomplish this in different ways.
  17. Yes it is intended to be fun, those rules aren’t very difficult to follow and don’t make it serious. Having the forum name match the entry eliminates confusion and helps ensure that the mods can easily reach out to the winner via the DM functionality of the forum
  18. Fixed your statement. Short game practice sounds great.
  19. Rule number 2 was: Your entry MUST be your FORUM USER NAME! as the Team Name when you register!!
  20. Josmi was the name on the contest entry which isnt a valid forum name. Rule number 2 was: Your entry MUST be your FORUM USER NAME! as the Team Name when you register!!
  21. probably still going though to find the entries that followed the rules Neither are valid forum names so they will probably be DQ’d for not following the rules.
  22. I personally think there are lots of variations on how online video can be applied to lessons and each has its own pros and cons. Randomly seeking out a YouTube/instructor tip: this is just like the old magazine tip on how to fix your slice. People search for the quick fix and unless they find the right tip it may take you in the wrong direction. following a specific instructors online content: many instructors provide free or subscription based self guided content. This is a better option than number 1 since the player is at least trying to rework the swing to match up with the model that the instructor is presenting. Potentially lots of work for the player to learn new movement patterns. With the wide reach of the internet people potentially chase the top instructor or the one that gets mentioned with the PGA tour winner. The benefit is you can specialize to full swing, short game, or putting focused instructors. online instruction platforms where you send video to the instructor. This is the new way of golf instruction. Find an instructor that is in you price range that can be located all over the world. communication becomes key here; how well does the instructor communicate the change and is the player able to correctly apply. Most instructors give a short period for exchange of information to verify what the player is doing. The nice thing is that the instructor has some time to analyze and prepare feedback for the player. Better than 1 or 2 since the instruction is personalized to you and is similar to in person.
  23. I have set wedges and vokey SM8 and SM9 in my bag. Heave tried lots of other wedges as part of most wanted testing and basically you need to find out what “feel” works best for you. lots of good feedback on the TM wedges. to adjust the heavy head feel, you could alway counterbalance the club to make the head feel lighter. you didn’t expand on the distance control issues but that is really a practice thing to see how to control distance and/or control contact.
  24. I guess it depends on location and price range. Houses in my area are selling in one day and over asking price. I agree, those problems might just be the tip and it was worth the 13 hundred to find out before closing.
  25. Had a great weekend; had family come from out of town for a graduation party we had for my daughter. It was nice to see people I don’t see very often. I guess it is back to the normal work grind. In between most wanted testing tests; waiting for utility iron testing to start. Hoping I will be selected to play in tomorrows league match so I can get some actual on course time; but will to try and get to the short game area to do some wedge practice.
