  1. I also saw this. Looks fantastic, hope they (we?) can pull it off. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  2. That's pretty amazing customer service. (A lost art these days, sadly) I was not familiar with Diamond Tour/Hurricane prior to this thread, but you can tell Jason that I will find SOMETHING to purchase from them just because they hooked you up. Even if I don't need the item, which I probably won't/don't.
  3. I'm anxiously awaiting the delivery of my towel today. Going to be difficult, I'll admit, to wipe the first big glob of mud onto it. Sucks about the mix-up, but man enjoy that cool putter cover! I have different one that's sentimental to me, and I thought they were a bit pricey, TBH. Cool way to take care of a customer, I agree.
  4. Meant Rehberg, but if you can get "our" Adam on video with some quotes, that'd be epic as well!!
  5. Will you post some pics/video from OC Nat'l? Maybe get some quotes from Adam or the rest of the B'stone boys!
  6. I just added a Pre-PGA Merchandise Show follow up review of the Bridgestone JGR HF-2 irons. It's golf season; I've seen the big boys playing in Hawaii, so that makes it so. Find the Bridgestone peeps at Orange County National next week, or find a club fitter who can fit you into a set of these beauties!
  7. Anyone else having issues with the Fantrax site? I'm trying to rank players, as I most likely won't be able to draft "live". I've been getting an error message on their website for about two days while attempting to complete my rankings.
  8. I can attest to this; I have toured the Bridgestone ball facility in Covington, GA. Also, TaylorMade has a ball plant almost across the street from my employer in Liberty, SC. I have no idea what models they produce there. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  9. I'm no marketing MBA (but how hard is it, really??) but this seems a great strategy for a smaller brand. Sign up & comers with incentive laden contracts, and hope one or two hit big! The money you're paying them they've earned back for the brand in multiples.
  10. Like to see the draft maybe on Sunday night prior to the first tournament? Mid week draft tough on those of us who travel for work. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  11. I'm in! Going to be some interesting looking teams after the auction...
  12. “Broke 80” & “Tester” badges, plz! (Badges? We don’t need no stinking badges...) Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  13. Gary VanSickle seems to like the Tour B JGR Driver! http://www.morningread.com/features/b2733d69-45b1-4fec-a4ac-5fb56e3b7bdb

  16. Worked on this on the range last Friday specific to your question. Hit 4 hybrid consistently out of a divot. First one was fat, but that was me more than the club. Once I adjusted and started to hit them just little bit “thin”, the ball flight was beautiful if a little bit low, and flying almost the same distance as a normal shot off the turf. I wouldn't have any trouble being comfortable hitting this out of a divot, or a bad lie. Three rounds into my week in FL, I still feel the same. These hybrids are just great. I've had to hit them out of a few “different” lies, trust me. I've been very impressed with these clubs especially, as well as the three wood. I can see how some guys are hooking them; if I try to “lay off” them a little they are very easy to flip over. If I swing them with some authority they are SUPER straight and VERY high flying. 17. “Huge Arse”... 🤣🤣 Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  18. I don't have a frame of reference for the G700's. I would say they are VERY comparable to Mizuno JPX, Wilson C300 etc. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  19. I hadn't thought about something like that, but I would TOTALLY do it. I'm torn between two worlds: I still play well enough to break 80 every other year or so, some times 2-3 times in a season; yet I stand over a 5 or 6 iron sometimes and hyperventilate. I love this game... Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  20. I haven't had a lot of opportunities yet where I really had to “trust it”. With an admittedly small sample size, I do definitely trust the hybrids. Driver is solid, I'm not sure yet that I'm in love with the ProForce V2 shaft. We'll see if it makes it thru the winter.I'm on my way Saturday to SW FL for six days of golf, testing & debauchery. I'll know more & have a BUNCH more to say by the end of the month. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  21. Definitely have been, yes. I'm finding myself wishing the JGR had an adjustable hosel, because I would LOVE to take a few other shafts for a spin. The face on this new Tour B JGR is HOT! To that I can attest. I may be searching for a different shaft over the winter. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  22. Sorry I'm going to miss it with that 4th set of JGR's. Keep y'all's fingers crossed that I get out to FL! 🤞🏽 Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  23. I think many of you here "know" me from my previous reviews, posts, and general sarcastic sense of well... everything. I have had a really poor Summer of golf, mainly due to the recovery from a ladder incident in January. I'll say it again in case you didn't read the original thread: Stay off ladders! You can hire professionals to do that. (If you ARE a professional doing that, PLEASE be careful.) Anyway, I've been slowly rounding into form, and had passed on even throwing my name into the hat for any product reviews so far this year, because I didn't feel, quite honestly, that I could play (or even swing) well enough to do justice to any type of club review. I was very surprised and flattered to have the opportunity to review these clubs. I toured the Bridgestone ball manufacturing facility with GolfSpy Barbajo in March 2016. The facility was cool, and was very similar to a facility where he and I had worked together previously. In addition to the tour of the ball plant, we also were given access to Bridgestone's club and ball testing facility, where we saw their robotic club testing machines, their high-speed camera capability (impressive!) and their 400-yard-long laser-flat driving range! (Yes, it's SUPER COOL!) While we were there, we went through a Bridgestone ball fitting, and also had the chance to hit the original series JGR Driver and the original JGR Hybrid Forged irons, I believe the predecessor to this current generation's HF-1 irons. I was very fortunate that day to head home with a 9.5 JGR driver mounted to a Graphite Design DI-6x shaft. This was the first time I had ever been fit for a driver, and it was a revelation. It has been in my bag as my gamer since that day. The new Bridgestone Tour B JGR driver ball flight is similar to what I'm used to with the previous gen JGR. I'm a slight fader of the ball, especially off the longer clubs, and even though these clubs have a draw bias, I still see a 5-10 yd fade when I make what I consider my "normal" swing. Similar looks from the older JGR to the current edition, but also some significant differences: I've only had one opportunity to play the driver, 3W and hybrids on the golf course, (my work is unfortunately really getting in the way of my golf these last few weeks) but I have had several range opportunities, which initially are probably better for review purposes anyway. These clubs are intended for the game improvement segment of the golf population, and I would consider myself (13.1 handicap) part of that group. With that said, I'm also fitted into x-flex shafts, which proved to be a little problematic when we began the process for this review. The stock shafts for the JGR woods and hybrids are the UST Mamiya Recoil ES series. Unfortunately those shafts are not available in x-flex. We discussed having the stiff shaft tipped to add some stiffness, but Bridgestone was kind enough to substitute the UST Mamiya ProVorce V2 7F5 x-flex shaft in my driver. I believe this is a no charge available upgrade to the JGR. There are also a myriad of other no upcharge and additional cost shafts available for you to build your driver to your exact requirements. I like the ProForce V2 7F5 x shafts overall, although the shaft is a little "whippier" than the Graphite Design DI-6 x I have in my existing JGR. To be expected I suppose. I have to remember to swing the driver and 3W with some rhythm, which admittedly can be a struggle for me. (Hence the x-flex requirement to begin with. News Flash: Its not always swing speed kids: aggressive transition kills!) Some might find the color combo of the JGR and the Proforce V2 a little bright, but it does make people look: Due to my leg injury, my swing still isn't really where it had been in the past. I had been averaging about 265yds total distance with my JGR driver in previous seasons. I don't get on a launch monitor often, so I can't tell you what my exact launch conditions were or are. However, I can attest that this new generation JGR is DEFINITELY hotter than the previous gen. This toe hit (pic) carried about 225; close to where I was landing my previous JGR gamer on the range. Measured this with my Precision Pro Nexus rangefinder. Little more in the center in the face, still slightly to the toe, carried at least 245. I have been pretty loyal to Callaway fairway and hybrid products traditionally. I have been carrying a Razr Fit Xtreme 3W and Steelhead XR hybrids. The JGR three wood off the tee hits the ball very high, which would be fantastic for me if that continues as I get used to playing it and the ProForce V2 7F5 x flex shaft. Carry and overall distances are right in the same range as my Callaway. The three and four hybrid also hit the ball very high and seem to have the carry distance that I am used to with my Callaway products. The clubs have a nice clean look at address: I put all the Woods & hybrids into the bag immediately when they arrived at my house. I'm writing this, of course from the road on business. However, I'm headed home to South Carolina tomorrow, and as long as Hurricane Florence doesn't interfere, I'll be on my way Saturday to SW FL for six days of golf and relaxation! Stay tuned to the Weather Channel, and stay tuned here for a LOT more information after I get back!
