I like this idea.  Put a marker spot on the ground to give reference as to where your put started or something and see how quickly a 15ft putt starts on the ground.

I know that most of the testers may not have a putting board to see roll, but would you guys be able to get out on an early round when the dew is still on the greens and show the difference in roll with your current vs. Evnroll?  I would expect Evnroll to show no skipping at all.

Yeah I play early, and yesterday would have been perfect. I didn’t think to get a picture, but as long as I’m putting on grass, I see no skipping at all. Next time I’m out early I’ll get some pictures

Whoa! Now this cool!  I was just telling @xOldBenKenobiX that I would get a launch monitor and lessons If I had $1000 to spend on golf equipment!

Another awesome opportunity from MGS! 😍😍😍

If you have a new driver and don't pull it on tight holes, do you really have a new driver? 🤣

So true, not that I need an excuse. I am down for pulling driver on just about any hole. I would say bombs away but that's a bit strong so I guess, mid-range missile away.

When I played with @ejgaudette he also gave in to the peer pressure any played back a set of tees... we were just making sure he had as many opportunities as possible to hit the big stick! 🤣
It's the only way to properly test after all!

I played 9 this evening, and managed to hit the range for a warm-up. I really, really hope tonight is representative of how this experience with the correct shaft and this driver is going to be. Between the range and the 4 driver holes, there were zero pulls/hooks. Almost everything was either straight or baby fade (one high flare that was bad). I would be ecstatic if I could continue with this and eliminate one side entirely.
No huge bombs, but many of the driving holes were either directly into the wind or hurting somewhat. The last hole, I originally pulled a 3w, because you can run out of fairway and water on the left creeps in. I succumbed to peer pressure and grabbed driver and smoked it dead straight. Ended up much further than I expected. I wonder what kind of roll I might have gotten if it was fairway instead of rough?

I had another that I hit really high on the face and still got 253 out of it, so pretty high marks for forgiveness so far, too.
Question for the experts: is it possible that by having an X shaft, it is helping eliminate the pull/hook by virtue of the way I am loading it or was tonight perhaps just a decent swing night for me and I need to check my expectations?

Update: so far, I have not been able to get the Align grip off the old shaft and the stock grip that came with the correct shaft is really flimsy and a pain to work with. I had put a new SuperStroke Cross Comfort Midsize on my old SW late last season and liked the feel, so I popped it off with air and it is now on the correct shaft. Let's commence hitting some bombs....

My Epic Speed showed up Monday afternoon as well, and I was super-excited to try it out during league last night even without any range time, but upon closer inspection, they built with the wrong shaft - I had ordered the MMT 70 X-stiff, but it arrived with MMT 70 Stiff. Our fearless mods are in the process of getting it corrected as we speak.
Talk about a buzz kill, though....

Got out for the first round with the Max LS today, literally the first swing with it came on the second hole. Given that I am working on some swing changes distance was down and I forgot to add the course to my Shot Scope, but tracked an average at 250 which is better than my terrible delivery has given me lately.
Looks - So what you came for, my first impressions. Ad mentioned in the unboxing the club looks great and this continues on the course. It frames the ball well and it feels like it sets up square to the ball easily, which I love as my SZ Extreme lately has felt open.
Sound - The sound was a solid crack at the ball. I know many reviews on YouTube has felt like the Epic Speed had the more muted sound, but in a course setting the sound was great. Again compared to the SZ Extreme which has been a bit on the louder side and slightly higher pitched. The Max LS comparatively has a much better sound.
Feel - Again the Max LS had a great start. It just felt solid behind when striking the ball. Firm, but not harsh. My SZ Extreme feels just a bit worse by comparison, though this could be some recency bias with poor strikes lately before today. On well struck shots they feel similar at this time. Miss-hits might be better with the Max LS but still too early to tell.
Performance - The first thing I noticed and really enjoyed is with the more forward CG of the Max LS to reduce the spin has a great advantage for me at least of lowering launch too, which has been a problem lately. Ball flight was much more reasonable today and kept it at 9° setting. Spin was a bit up as I felt like I was hitting a bit more flat today than up, but dynamic loft felt way more reasonable.
I look forward to confirming some of this with more testing and a trip to the CG Quad to get some good data on this. Though I will say so far the Max LS is off to a good start.

So while we're all patiently and somewhat painfully waiting to receive our putters.. and then attempt to catch up to @GolfSpy MPR 😜.. I was able to take a few queues away from my fitting to help the 2 putters compete more aggressively against each other. Just a note, I'm not doing this testing because I hate my Cleveland Premier and am looking for something else. I Actually love it! The fitting even validated further that it's a really solid putter that could yield quite a lot of success in the right hands and with the correct setup. I'm also not skeptical in any way about the Edel system but am really interested to see how this process can help move me to the next level in my game. Some of the queues are physical characteristics of the putter itself that can easily be improved and others are characteristics that only the Edel is equipt with. Other queues are techniques that I can implement to improve my putting in general between both putters.
    1) I learned that my current putter, although previously adjusted was still much too flat by about 3.5*. I was able to have it adjusted to match the 74.5* lie angle determined by Aram my fitter. My new putter will be showing up at 74* but it's also 36" vs my Cleveland at 34". There's not really much I can do about the 34" besides having an extension added but I'm not ready to go there yet.
    2) My current gamer, while still more head-heavy is actually more equally balanced than most of the putters we would find on the floor. I've known this from the start that the feel is more even rather than just the head feeling like it's swinging on string, and is something that I've really liked from the HB Premier 4. So while it isn't counter balanced in the grip, it's more balanced throughout and actually a pretty good match up to compare with the EAS 1.0.
    3) My previous grip was too weak in the right hand (bottom) and because I had a push tendency, strengthening the right hand by rolling it over a little more, was a more natural position to work with my biomechanics and will help neutralize the push a little better. Now, I will say that when using the Blast Motion Putting software, that my "push" from 8 putts at 10' was around .3* open. In the initial observation with my gamer, I drained all 8 putts and that's nothing to be ashamed of.
    4) My putting pace, aim, and distance control are the 3 areas that we determined I needed the most help. With my current putter, starting the ball on the intended line isn't really the issue. It's actually lining up my putts correctly, reading the green, and then executing the proper pace as well as creating a consistent stroke to get the ball rolling more true rather than occasionally bouncing the ball off the face due to being to fast or adding too much loft to the face at impact. Aram gave me some really good mental drills as well as recommending picking up the Blast Motion Software.
So far, even with the fitting process and putting analysis, I feel like I'm off to a great start even with my own putter. This is the round that I played on Sunday. On average at this course, I'm seeing around 32-33 putts. The greens here are tricky and really require a good short game to place the ball accordingly. I'd say at least half of the greens have shelves so if you miss the shelf either high/low, right/left,  you're left with a tricky putt. Nearly the other half are small greens or have pretty aggressive slopes and breaks. Now I won't say that my score was all completely due to the putting improvements.. but I will say that the "teaser" swing analysis that I got while I was there made almost a night and day improvement for me and can't thank Aram and Golf-Tec enough for the time taken to help me!

So a few more early impressions.
Got in nine holes with Kirke this morning. I missed two putts that I really wanted to make. Both were within 8'; on both, as soon as I hit the putt, I knew I had changed the face angle at impact (one push, one pull). Even so, Arccos saw my putting as a strength (about a 6 handicap).
Through 27 holes with the Edel, I have 44 putts—with zero three putts so far. That works out to just under 30 putts per 18.
On the subjective side (I know I'm overdue for a gratuitous photo post): I have zero complaints. I don't know that I'd say there's anything about the putter's looks or feel that wows me. On the feel side: I've been an insert guy for a while now, mostly with Odyssey. In general, I favor a soft feel in a putter. The Edel obviously doesn't feel like a soft insert, but it's also in no way harsh. It feels, to me, exactly like what I'd expect. That's what I mean by not wowing me; it's not really a criticism.
The same is true for the looks, especially at address. The Edel looks utilitarian, but in the best way. It doesn't at all look cheap, in my estimation. But it also doesn't look like it's trying to edge into the Tyson Lamb discussion either.
I will say, as one final comment here: my putter is heavy. I do not know the spec of the weight in the handle of the putter. But I do know that the full putter feels really substantial. I'll weigh it in the next couple of days and post a total weight. All that said, during the stroke, it feels properly balanced to me.

This is such an important piece of information for those interested in an Edel fitting.
I went in assuming that the fitting was going to involve something like a SAM PuttLab. I was looking for an analysis of my stroke, and then a putter fitted for the stroke.
Instead, at least as I see it, the Edel fitting really consists of three main components:
First, biometrics. They want to know your height and wingspan, and then the upper arm/lower arm ratio. All of this information is relevant to how you are most likely to "naturally" want to swing the putter. Second, aim. We've already talked about this some, but this is especially a major facet of the EAS series of putters. It was very interesting that as we tried out different markings on the topline and flange of the putter, it would make subtle differences in my aim. As I mentioned in my video, my aim with my new Edel isn't perfect, but it's much closer than it was before. The round grip is also part of Edel's theory on aim. Third, speed. This is where the fitter experiments with different handle weights and head weights to dial in your putter so that the ball rolls out the distance that you expect. I suspect that their fitting model is different, at least in part, because Edel is committed to torque balanced putters. That isn't the topline item on the EAS series, but it's been a longstanding commitment of Edel's putters. If all your putters are torque balanced, you're not really interested in arc vs. straight putting, because you're not adjusting toe hang and closure rate.

Let me know what questions you have about the putter or aspects of the testing you'd like to see.
