  1. I think you should cheers for me to win and Stud to get 2nd. I can't by rule use a golden ticket now so I'm happy and get the banner and then 2nd (if they agree) gets the golden ticket. Sounds like a win win to me!
  2. This could be a good unofficial test with some members. Who is all looking for a driver this year? We can do off the rack - self fit - big box fit - pro fit. Hard part is going to quantity the fit and the results.
  3. If the projected scores say anything it is going to be stressful!
  4. Hello all! Hope everyone has enjoyed their holidays so far and been able to enjoy time with family and friends. Myself @GolfSpy_BOS and @GolfSpy_CS are getting to work on the testing site to do some continued updates and help smooth things out in preparation for next testing season. Our goal is to get this section more user friends and functional as to hopefully erase the mass issues which we had last season at roll out and afterwards. With this a few things which have been added and changed. 1. Rating systems for reviews and all review templates have been changed to a star rating system (this partially leads into the next change). The biggest part we had added in from last years start system is the inclusion of half stars. You will see this in the reviews moving forward. 2. As requested somewhere we have enabled a new dropdown menu in the search function which will separate by year. Example being all last years will be under 2021 and this next season will be searchable with 2022. This should help organize reviews moving forward. - We do encourage the use of testing search function as well as some suggestions on how we can improve it. I should also note there is a status drop down with all tests which are open for signups and all that have had their signups closed. One thing I would like to see is if we can have that drop down include our titles for reviews (signup open, signup closed, testers announced, test in progress and final reviews) so they are searchable within those categories. As the mod team we all understand the frustration that came with this new system and are happy with the progress it has made since its launch. That being said we know there are still areas we can improve. For one I am trying to find a good spot to highlight the reviews on both the main forum page and recent content. I do want to also add in if (readers and testers alike) find any bugs or issues please let us know and we can pass them along or work to try and fix them ourselves. On one last note we have recognized that engagement in reviews was down last year. We do know this and ran the numbers compared to previous years and think there are a whole perfect storm of reasons why. That being said the Mod Testing crew (myself, Tony and Bryan) are looking at a few different options to make the reviews cleaner. This we are hoping to achieve by making the review tab more for the actual reviews and having introductions (the longer and more in depth ones) and unboxing in the actual comments with them linked to in the review itself. This way those reading and wanting to see the review have simpler access to the review itself and those who want to read the other sections can easily do so via links in the review. So with that let us know your thoughts and we look forward to working with the community to improve and make this one of MGS best testing years yet!
  5. Since I've had a good break and not had to do any recaps with football I'll be back and do weekly Fantasy Golf League recaps. They may not be quite as long as last year, but they will be back starting with a post draft preview!
  6. Well after Sunday we have some results which Stud will likely report officially later on. But at a quick glance @poprocksncoke has advanced via a 177.35 effort in his bracket with @blackngold_blood coming close with 172.5 points and @Berg Ryman needing miami dst to put up 55+. In the other Fade Division @ghost_32 is currently in the clubhouse with 147 points with @Rwagn4 looming in the background with 129.15 points and Kamara as well as NO Dst to come. I'm thinking this one comes down to the wire (side note Wags truly sorry to see JRob go down, but with crowder started on the other side of that match it levels it out for this week) In the Draw Division @GolfSpy_APH narrowly got by @daviddvm by .55 points. Locking up that bracket and the second spot in the superbowl. I said it in slack, but I'll repeat it here. I am so happy that I'm 6 hours ahead of EST and am asleep during the night games, because it would have been way too stressful to watch. Then our final bracket @STUDque is waiting in the clubhouse with a strong 179.6 points (actually leading everyone right now). This means reigning champ @ChiefMikeOfficer will not retain his title (darn hard to go back to back in this league) however @Mtbryant01 still has Kamara and Parker left to play and 40 points to gain. I've seen worse odds! Another pretty wild week and a lot of difficult matchups. Thank you all for making the efforts this season and making it as enjoyable as it has been. @STUDque you have represented the Commissioner squad well as has @Berg Ryman. @Undershooter it seemed like a rough season, but we appreciate all the work you guys do to make this work and organized. Happy to have @GolfSpy_BOS join me in the Mod Fantasy Squad as well we have to do our best to keep you all in check! Finally @blackngold_blood awesome job turning 3 rb into a superbowl contender. I know guys give you crap for trades and always warn newbies to not trade with you, but the deals you make are masterful and altho it can be frustrating seeing you turn nothing into gold (dare I say black into gold?) and it is always fun to see as well as take part in.
  7. I'm hopeful we make it similar to previous seasons and ask teams to use their mgs username or have it in brackets
  8. Have to say i really appreciate this message. It really doesn't take much to set a lineup and with so many ppl wanting to take part it really sucks when teams go MIA. Not just for the competitiveness of the league but also trading and overall engagement. Only question I have is if there are any will it be a option as was last season to replace a owner midseason?
  9. Yup +6 hours to EST. At least for the next little while. Usually for a few weeks it's 5 around time change seasons.
  10. You prefer 3am? I guess I can just think of it as good practice for when the baby comes.
  11. So you mean you won't move it to a better time for me in Switzerland? haha
  12. Thanks for putting this up @STUDque! @daviddvm@Scott33 and @den748 going to be a epic battle and regardless of who wins this week I'll be going to for you to win it all! Unfortunately I don't think any of us will put our best lineups forward with covid, but at the very least will be entertaining! Also nice to see a variety of high and lower seeds make it through to the semis. Good luck to all and can't wait for the week to begin!
  13. Only advice I can give is try to have guys that play and keep an eye out for when fields are set. That can help with waivers and planning. Other then that have guys who you enjoy cheering for. I have a tough time rostering players I don't really like or want to cheer for regardless of how good they are.
  14. Still tough to say? Not sure what they would be worth given they are from fit carts. As suggested in the duplicate ad a list of what shafts and stiffness would likely help. Yes it is good amount of work, but would help any potential buyers.
  15. Honestly no I wouldn't be able to. Different market for me here in Switzerland and not sure what value they would have in the US.
  16. Also as per ad policy please list a price either for a bulk amount or individually or we will need to hide the ad. Other information such as shipping included or not and any other pertinent information should be included.
  17. Typically fitting irons don't hold a ton of value outside of someone looking for a replacement for their 7 iron. As for the shafts kinda same deal. I know different shops that use them for shaft extensions, but not much else.
  18. It will never sit well how it ended and there was questionable decisions from the first lap. Unfortunately that was all compounded by us hearing team radios to the FIA which doesn't put it in a good light. Add in the confusion from Jeda last week and the list of other issues (my mind still goes back to Baku and the late calls for Red Flags and Norris getting penalized for not swerving into the pitlane). I love watching the racing this year, it was good racing almost all year with nearly every race providing entertainment for us watching. The politics of it sucked... Netflix is going to love it though. It detracted from the sport whether it be the flexi wings and protests this or that and more or stupid banter between Horner and Toto. I appreciate Max and Lewis and all the others on the grid for the racing product they put out this year. In a chaotic season with so many memorable moments the sport is in good hands in terms of its drivers. Sad to see Kimi retire, but it was time. New faces for next year should help grow the profiles for Maz and Mick which can only be good for the sport as well as seeing Russel battle with Hamilton in the Mercedes. All of this and not to mention the new cars which are coming and could flip the entire grid! I hope the FIA cleans it up makes things more clear. I saw a suggestions somewhere saying there should be a buffer official for teams to yell at rather then the Race Director and liked that. I do appreciate them trying to finish the final race under racing conditions, but it was so forced and desperate and watching we all could tell by the announcers not having a clue whats going on. Clearer defined rules OR a stronger person making the decisions certainly could go a long way to aiding the sport with these decisions that ultimately decide championships. I know the ending will taint or fog up the season, but lets not forget how incredible the whole season was and how memorable it was race after race. I said it before, but F1 is in good hands with the drivers and racing product they have, now lets see if the politics can get out of the way to make for a enjoyable 2022 season. Who is going to have the best livery next season?
  19. Great movie and one that I definitely need to watch again over the holidays.
  20. Can almost guarantee there will be one team that rosters him all year. Won't be mine, but nearly every year there is one. Pretty sure even last year someone had him all season.
