  1. About TPT Golf TPT's parent company, NTPT, is more than just a golf company. The Swiss-based company was not initially associated with the golfing world. With a background in making fine watches as well as marine, aerospace, motorsports and aeronautical parts, they transferred that knowledge and experience to the golfing world. TPT (Thin Ply Technology) has a fully integrated process for making their golf shafts, starting with their resin formulation and extending to the end result of shaft manufacturing. By maintaining control throughout the entire process and using automated processes, TPT shafts offer "no fiber off-axing, no parasitic bending during swings, and tight dispersion" by using continuous winding with "one start, one stop." TPT recently partnered with L.A.B. Golf to make specialized putter shafts, resulting in two wins on the PGA Tour and one on the Korn Ferry Tour. The science behind their golf shafts is impressive and has resulted in some bold claims which we want our members to put to the test. What Is Being Tested? TPT Golf released a series of golf shafts they call the "Power Range." The Power Range of shafts includes a driver, fairway wood and hybrid shaft meant to deliver a consistent feel in all three, allowing for "each shaft and swing to feel the same." This is where their "3 shafts,1 feel" slogan comes into play. "TPT's Fairway Wood Shafts aim to make fairway woods more forgiving and accessible for all players,” the company says. “We designed our fairway woods to achieve a higher ball flight than our driver shafts, improving golfers' performance. Utilizing the same technology as our drivers ensures consistent contact with your fairway woods on the clubface to create consistent results. “About our hybrids: We designed our hybrids to achieve a higher ball trajectory, aligned with our drivers and fairway woods shafts ball flight trajectory. Utilizing the same technology as our drivers and fairway woods, the three shafts will feel the same." Please welcome and congratulate our testers! @William P @Hoyoymac @RoverRick @ZackS
  2. There is a great video on TXG now club champion about the differences between long irons, hybrids and woods. Also this - https://mygolfspy.com/news-opinion/your-golf-bag-5-wood-or-3-hybrid/ Check them out and it should have answer questions as to here you'll be using the clubs. That will help narrow your choices and decision!
  3. Awesome Alan that is great to hear! Can't wait!
  4. To be fair there is not much time when I'm not posting!
  5. Also if it makes sense do a prefit like webfit from Ping. Helps give a better understanding!
  6. And to think we have a few OEM testing calls today too
  7. Lol probably - but I'm sure there are a ton of others that also picked him in the pool so no harm haha
  8. Sounds like you really caught the golfing bug!
  9. Old (2023) message has been removed to avoid confusion. Score to par is the standings for the 2024 season. At the end of the year we can't ale a vote on what ppl liked more and look at further changes for 2025! Thanks all for participating.
  10. Looks like the message from last season carried over. All the rules are up top in this thread. It's based off score - not winnings this year which was a change we made at the very start. That's an auto message that was created last season. Thanks for spotting it and I'll edit it to make sure it reflects the score to par not winnings. Apologies! All the rules for this season are up top of the thread.
  11. Good recap - do you have a few photos you can share? Would love to see what it's like after a round or a before and after type deal. Do you think they just need a firmer outside or would that effect the performance too much?
  12. Who? Haha That's great for him and reslly cool stat! I'll have to watch the highlights!
  13. Going to the store ahead of time and asking questions as well as being open in terms of communication helps a lot. Tell them what you are looking for and what you want to achieve. Their answer should be very telling and give you a good idea. Outside of that going to a fitter who you have had other friends go to helps, as others have said there are reviews online which are good. While some are good maybe avoid big box stores. They can be a more quick in quick out situation.
  14. While unlikely I am going to try and get a bit of speed training done today on the rapsodo. Need to get back into it!
  15. I don't think so! There were a few ppl that had some issues but considering the tens of thousands that are sold you should be okay. Also even if something did break TM has a good warranty which would likely cover it. Welcome to the forum and hope the driver works great for you!
  16. It's the big move today! Movers come on an hour and a bit. Late night getting things ready, first night at the new place and as expected the kids hardly slept and up early to get work done before it all starts. Yikes! However will be so happy when the day is over. Have most the house already moved just all the big stuff now!
  17. Very much depends on the golfer, but for me and the way by bag is set it does. Maybe more in my head, but having that equal gapping is crucial.
  18. That was what i was thinking about after is how tired I would be!
  19. I'm going to suggest Cobra - but try and go a little older for the rail models. F7-Radspeed. Or even LTDx. Great clubs in my opinion and you won't spend a fortune.
  20. Calling @GolfSub70 you have a real fan and supporter in @jbern! Great WIYB and fantastic photos! Thanks for sharing
  21. I would 100% agree with the looks aspect. They really did an awesome job!
  22. Let's say their normal scoring average is 88..maybe 80? Unfortunately a lot of answers will be, depends. If they are someone that really struggles off the tee I don't see the score moving down that much. Sure they can learn from the first shot, but also knowing you always have a second can lead to looser and potentially worse first shots.. Interesting little thought experiment, but I'm going with 78-80.
