  1. If I win nothing really changes other than I will talk about it for the entirety of CCC4, call all my friends and family, start a new thread about how I won using a Top Flite and single length irons.
  2. I have the opportunity to go head-to-head with B.Boston on Friday. If he beats me outright I will be switching my allegiance to him. Don’t worry Dabviddvm....we’re good! Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  3. I'll take a guess and it's an educated guess. Your game stinks! I want to up any wagers that take place on Friday.
  4. If you see Cantlay and Ho in the same sentence just walk away. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  5. Well I went from 226 to 244 so I think a roll back should seriously be considered. But if I tell the entire story I’ve been trying different putters about every round and that has hurt me. With SkyTrak I learned how to maximize my distance with ball and foot adjustments. In other words I’ve embraced the over the top swing and am squaring it up. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  6. I’m about 18 yards longer off the tee this year than last year. I’m not sure why, it might just be my home course is firmer than last year. Anyway I’m hitting about 10% less fairways. I can’t remember the last time I was OB off the tee regardless of my distance. With the extra distance my handicap is 2 strokes higher this year than it was at this time last year. In my normal foursome the two shortest hitters are the lowest handicaps of the group. While I agree if you can bomb it you’re better off but you still need to stay out of trouble and know how to score. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  7. It’s a great bag! My normal group is starting to put their stuff in my cooler. I should have never told them about it. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  8. I played 36 over the weekend with the ball. It reminded me a lot of a Z Star or Snell MTB-X in regards to feel. Very straight and very reliable distance control. Putted well and mostly hop and stop. My partners all play ProV1 and PorV1x and nothing was holding the greens this weekend. Ball launches high. On SkyTrak spin was similar to a Z Star on wedges and 7 iron spin was similar to Top Filte Gamers for what that's worth. Although the wind was very light it did seem to hold it's line very well and not much drop off in distance. I'll add more after I spend more time with it.
  9. I hit them tonight in garage golf. Shot a 75 at St.Andrews from the women’s tees. I was able to shape the ball both ways and flight it when needed up and down. Spin control was excellent and it would check up on command. A little clicky off the putter and firm feel. Durability was excellent and like new after 18 on a tough course. Okay, I seriously made all of that up. I try to hit it straight. The ball is a bit firmer than a Z Star. Distance was right where I expected it to be. I didn’t hit driver but I will give it a go tomorrow on the course and will report back then. My initial impressions are I really like this ball. However, I’m the king of cheap balls but if this performs tomorrow I might join the baller club. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  10. I can’t pull off that look at all so no. It looks good until I put it on. My son will wear it though. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  11. Well these showed up today. Came with a nice hat. I asked for ball number 007 and just got 7. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  12. This is my third year at my club. Going into this year I had birdied 1-6 and 10-15. This year I have birdies on 7, 9, 16, 17 and 18 but can't buy a birdie on the holes I had already birdied in previous years. Who's idea was this?
  13. About time you came around! Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  14. No, they don't look like knuckle balls and I will say it happens consistently so I guess I should just plan on it. Yesterday, from the rough , I was 168 to a back pin. Hit a 5 iron that I thought was perfect. It flew the green and went 184 per Garmin. My 5 is my 160-170 club. On another note I was able to use the one length 3 and 4 hyrbrids. Only hit 2 shots with each but averaged 205 with the 3 and 194 with the 4. That is really long for me. My regular length Cleveland Turbo 2 hybrid averages 205 and the 3 averages 181.
  15. I am really curious how the Speedzone irons perform out of the rough. With the F9s I am seeing 1-2 clubs longer from the rough. It really messes with you.
  16. I’ll be gaming single length irons and a Top Flite golf ball. You are the one that should start considering excuses my friend. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  17. Let me see what I get on the course but I can see myself jumping from a one length 5 iron to a one length 3 hybrid and skipping the 4 altogether. I’ll try to get Arccos going so I get some data but according to my Garmin tracking I’m about 162 with my 5 iron and 193 with my 3 hybrid so the 4 may fit in between. 18. After a couple of tough rounds I’ve spent the last 2 nights banging balls on SkyTrak with the single length irons. 4 hybrid arrived today and I frankly don’t get much more out of it than I do the 5 iron but I’ll take it to the course tomorrow for real golf. I feel like I am starting to dial these in and about 90% of all shots with the one lengths are starting online but SkyTrak tends to exaggerate draws so they are ending offline. I hope to test Arcoss tracking against Garmin watch tracking this weekend as well. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  19. It has been a really smooth transition to the wedges for me. I haven't had a lot of chances to hit them on the course however. The gap wedge replaced a 48 degree CBX wedge and it is about 5 yards shorter. The PW is right where I need it to be. The gap wedge goes high so I started using it on everything inside 100 yards just trying to plop it on the green.. Still dialing it in but I think it will be my go to inside 100 once I get used to it. I still carry a 52 and 56 in CBX wedges. The darts at the pin are coming from 8-5 simply because I've had more opportunities with them.
  20. I have about 4 rounds under my belt with the Cobra F9 one length irons. Off the rack purchase and I’m really liking them so far. My gapping has been great so far with about 10 yards between each iron. The 3 hybrid is a very nice addition. The 5 iron is easy to hit. I am getting a lot more realistic looks at birdies. I really think a fitted set would be very hard to beat. The varying lie angles mess with my head a bit and I feel I can’t just put the ball in one spot for each club. But, overall they will stay in the bag for awhile. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  21. Played 9 with my son. I shot 41 but more importantly he shot a 48. His first time breaking 50 at our club. In fact his best was 55 there. His short game stunk out of the rough so I let him use my CBX wedges and the boy has seen the light. Problem is I need to buy him some CBX wedges. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  22. I purchased a damn haircut today and boy was it nice to get it cut. I got the hot girl at Sports Clips too so it was win win for me. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  23. Hang in there, it takes me a month to get 7 birdie putts inside 8 feet. You did it in 9 holes. They will start to drop. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  24. Make sure to hit the Muddy Moose tonight for dinner.
  25. After hearing that rational Daviddvm is the logical choice. Your reasoning for B.Boston is legit. Meeting up with a dude you met online or a likeable kid is just creepy. Headhammer per you is a killer. Welcome to the team! Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
