Hmm here's an interesting piece of info that I wasn't aware of. According to the USGA "the system will account for abnormal playing conditions, limit extreme movement of a Handicap Index and reduce a Handicap Index when an exceptional score is posted" . I take that to read when you have a blowout round either high or low it won't affect the index. Wonder what the parameters of that are.

As a higher handicapper I'd agree. My fitter put me in shaft/head combinations that helped me with some of the issues. The end result of the fitting was a much narrower dispersion with the club's he recommended. It didn't take care of all of the issues and that's where the instructor came in. I think if you're going to take this game seriously you should get fit regardless of your handicap. On the other hand if you're going to play a few times a year and don't care about your score a fitting is overkill - but then you're probably not on this forum anyway. Played so many I can't remember. I only post rounds I play with others (USGA and our Club's rules for calculating Index). We start playing in mid April and I play 4-5 times a week til the end of November. So maybe so maybe 120 recorded rounds plus a lot more unrecorded. This year I'm also going to add a couple of rounds in December - my wife and I played December 26th in 60 degree weather - pretty good for northwest Ohio. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy

I'd agree - Speith looks lost and Tiger's on his game. I'm still hoping for Rickie and anyone else except Rhombo (sorry @Shankster) or Sergio.

Googled them - but no link. Is this the correct spelling?

You need a different name then the 'bacon boys'. Maybe the 'wild shorts guys'?

40 is definitely too cold especially if it's cloudy and windy. Hi 40's sunshine and no wind - different story.

MyGolfSpy Experiences: Where Should We Go Next?
tony@CIC replied to GolfSpy Barbajo's topic in Golf Courses & Travel
I'm partial to Ireland and Australia. We stayed in Kinsale but couldn't play Old Head https://www.swinggolfireland.com/old-head-of-kinsale-golf-links/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjM-3zs7T5gIVx0XVCh3M2gMlEAAYASAAEgI7u_D_BwE I love courses adjacent to the water/scenic views Another must do: Adare Manor. We walked the course there - site of the 2024(?) Solheim Cup. http://www.adaremanorgolfclub.com/ Would go back in a heartbeat. In Australia, Barnboogle/Lost Farm is a real treat on the northern side of Tasmania. We played Lost Farm which has 20 holes and is adjacent to the Bass Strait - a real treat. -
Foz sorry to hear about your friend. Tough way to live out your last years. We'll keep him in our prayers.
