  1. That happened to me last week, however, it seems to be ok now.
  2. Spot on - see my previous post re: the grips I installed on my wife's clubs - - midsize with extra tape even though she wears a small glove. .
  3. That's for sure! I was out on the range today and used my old Glide 2.0 LW (which hasn't been in my bag for 2 years) along with the clubs I just regripped. What a way to see the difference between older worn-out grips and new ones .
  4. You could say that I try undersized grips all the time when I go to demo a club. Seems like more often than not those demos will have Tour Velvet standard size. It feels like the club is twisting in my hand so I tend to tighten the grip with standards - generally not a good result.
  5. Hmm I haven't noticed much of a difference between my SIM 2 Max and Stealth 2 (both 10.5 and almost identical shafts). However, I just got the Stealth 2 last week and have only had it out a couple of times. BTW I much prefer the sound of the Stealth 2.
  6. Over the years I've done a fair amount of experimentation, given that I install my own grips. I wear an XL glove and find the best combo is midsize (CPX) with 3 wraps for my long and mid clubs and midsize 3 1/2 wraps (MCC+4) for my wedges. The 1/2 wrap is on the bottom half of the grip. My wife, who wears a ladies small size glove - liked my set-up so she had me do the same thing with her clubs with the only difference being she wanted midsize MCC+4 on all of her clubs. She has a bit of arthritis in her hands so that combo feels best for her.
  7. As background - I play a course that has 3 nines so I always have to select 'play back 9' when I'm playing 18. The first several months I used the X5 I had the 'scoring' option on and after it loaded the course, it would ask yes on no for scoring. If I didn't immediately select via the bezel, it reverted back to the clock face. My thinking is that this option is on and that part of the round (back 9) is not captured. As to why it didn't capture all of the front 9 without intervention, I can't help you on that.
  8. Interesting - more info please. Was the second nine on the same course and immediately following? If immediately after and you selected the 'play back 9 feature' it would show distances to the hole - did it in your case? At the end of the round did it show time played, steps, etc?
  9. A bit more on the organization of golf 'stuff' in my garage. I bought a somewhat unique golf ball holder for those special ones I've collected, Pinehurst, LPGA events, etc. This one holds 50 balls - I had quite a few others but ended up only putting the top picks there. Also put hat hooks on the side of my shoe organizer. So far it's been working out well.
  10. After reviewing several rounds and checking the watch (tag image) the reason for the wrong tee box is because it didn't read the driver while I was hitting the it. The default for SS is to start the drive from the tips if it didn't pick up the driver tag.
  11. Lately I been having an issue with missed shots - or holes where the drive is located at the tips rather than from the tee box I use. Shotscope support send me a method to double check the tags - which BTW worked just fine on the workbench. Next few rounds - still missed shots. Yesterday I decided to play nine and check my watch just before I go to hit the shot. I noticed that several times clubs were not registering on the X5, hmmmm. Today I played 18 BUT made sure I tagged the club to the watchband and checked it was registering: no missed shots in the entire round and the correct tee box. I'm wondering whether the antenna in the watchband is defective and thus not reading from the normal distances.
  12. $250/hr consulting fee - minimum 4 hr. Actual work $400. hr. minimum 8 hr. 80% in advance. Hope you're still interested.
  13. Gary, the shelving is standard 12" wide. The "box" is 3/4 MDF and the face frame is 1X2 select pine. I bought a 2 - 2'X4' MDF at Home Depot and had them cut it lengthwise, and further cut it at home into 3' sections. The wire shelving was in 6' sections which I cut in half. The shelving is fastened to the wall in back and the face frame in front. Hope this helps.
  14. She played/putted better at the Solheim even though our Ladies lost by 1/2 point and came in 8th this at this past LPGA weekend event. In many respects she reminds me of Rickie and I wish both of them a speedy recovery to their respective games.
  15. I can relate to hot garages, after all, we're just south of you. Fortunately, we have a large Live Oak tree that shades our garage and I put insulation in the garage door so the temps are a bit more moderate.
  16. I hate a messy garage especially when it comes to tools, shoes or other golf 'stuff'. Since my wife and I both golf - there's plenty of golf stuff to go around. I'm almost done with the organization. FYI, I just put lots of clubs that I haven't used in a few years in the trunk. They're headed over to the new Global Golf store in Tampa - for trade-ins. BTW, the shoe rack I built is bigger and cost less than anything I could buy online.
  17. I'm an ex ARRCOS user and got tired of the editing and the subscription $$. Keep in mind the differences between the H4 and the X5. The latter senses the club through the antenna in the watchband so no tapping or club entry involved. The H4 is generally worn on the belt and requires you to tap the H4 with the club.
  18. The biggest question is do you want tracking info. X5 and H4 provide both GPS and/or tracking while G5 is only tracking.
  19. Just an update - after playing about an additional doz. rounds since my last update, the AIT4 is performing very well - so much so that I permanently retired my O Works.
