  1. Thx Matt - miss playing with you and the other Cleveland spies. Be sure to let me know if you travel down to Florida way!
  2. Very nice layout. FYI get a mat/rug under those chair wheels to keep that floor beautiful. Don't ask how I know.
  3. Great point. Or perhaps I just should have stated in my first request that I was a MGS Forum member and was looking for info. That way they would have realized immediately that I was looking for technical info vs. standard marketing hype .
  4. Guess I was just hoping for more detail to justify the expense.
  5. Based on the 'non-technical' response I got from them (shared in a previous post) I was not impressed.
  6. That sounds like a Helium Light 3 wood shaft that I mothballed a couple of years ago. I replaced it with a Riptide CB - with much better results. BTW on my earlier comment that Daley has it on his driver, he also put it on his 3 wood as well - but I believe that one is a 5 dot. I'm still interested in the results from either HQ or Jamie.
  7. My last order was just under a month ago - I did get the order BUT had a problem with the product. I ordered precut grip tape 100 pieces. Received the 100 pieces but the release paper didn't release cleanly - leaving lots of residue paper. They resent an additional 100 pieces at no charge. Note my initial communication was via email - no response, but when I called them they were very helpful. I'd suggest communication with them via real voice.
  8. Jamie, I sent them a note basically saying that my Fuji Speeder NX R Flex has a similar profile to their 2 dot - what's the difference or benefit of the Newton. Here's their response: "Thank you for your interest in our Newton driver shafts. The key to our shaft is the elongated bend profile. Think of it as a long bow versus a short bow; so our shaft allows you to store more potential energy and release the energy with less effort than other shafts. It is really a great feeling to feel like you are not having to work so hard to get a great ball flight." Not very technical or detailed so I'll wait for your "unofficial" test.
  9. I see John Daley has a 6 dot in his driver. Wonder if he'll be using it this weekend.
  10. Hmm interesting since the V3 has been fairly robust. I assume you have the latest firmware? Did you check to see if it's reading the tags? You can try a hard reset of the V3. Note, there's a pretty active Shotscope user thread here - posting your issue might get you more solutions. Lastly, I'd shoot them a message via the app they are very responsive but keep in mind that support is located in the UK.
  11. You too can be a winner! First person to dm me wins a free 2018 Odyssey O Works Black #1 Putter - see details below! Just pay shipping and handling ($189.00 shipping to continental U.S. only). Be the first person in your golf league to say you won a free putter*.Note: it's LH but you righties will probably putt better that way
  12. I use Vice's Neon Green (Vice Pro) and I can definitely see them further than 150 yds (note: 76 yr old eyes).
  13. Jason when you superglue it - it's permanent. I'm using the regular sensors (V3 and X5 user) so by the time I need to replace the putter grips, I'm also replacing the sensors. In my case the replacement for all 16 is only about $35. On the other hand, I don't replace my putter grip anywhere near as often as my other clubs - you might be in a similar situation so that permanent install might carry you longer than you think.
  14. Great review - hope it meets all of your expectations. FYI a couple of points: I assume you're using the SS putter grip with the counter weight? You can simply cut off half of the screw portion of the sensor and trim down the flanges of the screw - then just use superglue to adhere it to the putter grip. I've done that for several Superstroke putter grips over the years and it works great. Just did that again last night on a new SS pistol grip 2.0 last night for my wife's putter. Note: you'll want to dry fit the sensor before gluing it just to make sure you've trimmed all of the excess off the sensor. The other point is that you'll find, Shotscope very responsive and at least in my case, have exceeded my expectations. However, keep in mind that the support group is located in the UK and the time difference may affect their response time to you. Good luck and hope the weather turns soon so you can test it on the course.
  15. I use Global golf - bought 2 clubs in the past 5 months: a like new Stealth 2 driver and a Ping 425 hybrid also in like new condition. Both were bargains since you could hardly tell they were hit before. Also, Global Golf just opened a store in the Tampa area. We stopped by there a month ago and my wife picked up a 919HM 6 iron which she has been bugging me for months. It was in near perfect condition and even had the same Recoil shaft as her other irons and at a much lower price the new.

    Cooking

We just bought an induction stove that has an air fryer as part of the oven. Wife used it last night for the first time to make fries from scratch. I was impressed with the results and would definitely recommend it.
  17. Thanks - that's interesting and even more compelling since after trying several different shafts over the years, I've ended up with 49g & 6.5 t shaft. Yes I know there's more to shaft specs than that - but it's still a good reference point. Looks like I know what my next big golf purchase may be.
