  1. I have hit them, one of my buddies had one he bought off eBay. They are mostly a company that dbulids for long drive competitors. His was long but very erratic in dispersion.
  2. May have to try these, I have several pairs of UA underwear but the pockets for my boys sounds nice.
  3. I had been on another forum for a long time, done some well received reviews and made some good friends, but the climate on the other forum shifted and it became more about "pay us to come to one of our events" instead of about the equipment which is why I ended up there in the first place...so I quit visiting that forum. So Ole Gray on Facebook talking about MGS and decided to give it a try and I'm damn glad I did!
  4. One of the first things I did when I got here buddy!
  5. I have the Swing Tip that came out about the same time as the Swingbyte, I haven't used it in a long time.
  6. Bridgestone clubs are fantastic! The J40 line was incredible, still, playing the hybrids and I wish I still had the DPC irons,
  7. Got behind a 4 some of novice golfers today, my 4 some waited for 15 minutes at one point between shots...they evidently didn't know enough to let people play through...we watched one guy drop 4 balls and hit again...it was very frustrating. Luckily they stopped at the turn and we went around them.
  8. I really want a new set of irons, but I'm on the fence as to which ones. I played 18 holes today and took a demo Steelhead XR 7 iron, Apex CF 16 8 iron and an AP1 9 iron with me, it seemed like I hit better shots with the Steelhead XR but they all had different shafts so it's hard to tell. I need to go get a full fitting
  9. A little erratic with my driver today, cost me a few strokes. 44/45 = 89
  10. I work in the 911 industry, I keep the equipment running, the network up and I teach federally required classes to 911 dispatchers.
  11. The first time I broke 80 it was a total shocker...my previous best ever was 83. It was about 4 years ago, I was practing a lot at that point and my short game was really really good. I played with a couple of buddies that day and we were cutting up and having a great time...didn't even add up scores at the turn. I knew I was having a pretty good day and had made 2 birdies and no doubles, I got to the par 3 16th and I hit a great 6 iron to about 8 feet and made the putt for my 3rd birdie ( which was a record for me), we got to the 17th tee and I hit a nice drive and one of my buddies suddenly said "Holy sh!t! If par out you'll shoot 79!" Needless to say I immediately hit a crappy second shot and made bogey...oh well I thought I'll still set a new personal best...hit a decent tee shot on 18, second shot went wide right and left me a tough pitch over a bunker.....hit a high flop that bounced once and went in for my first ever 79!
  12. Who says short par 4's are easy. 9th hole at my club, 357 yards from the blues, very narrow driving area...trees up the right and OOB on the left, it's 212 to carry the hazard in front. Zoomed in view
  13. Mine came along time ago when I signed up for another form and I just went for something that seemed to flow with my first name of Tim, and Triple Bogey Tim was just good alliteration and overtime it's just shortened to TBT Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  14. Dang that's a ton of strokes!! What were the handicaps for both of you?
  15. I want real world info whether you like or not, if I wanted to hear that every new piece of equipment was the best thing out there I would just read the press releases from the OEM's. If the equipment fits your game and helps you enjoy the game more then great...but we all know that not every new club or ball is for everybody, so if that's the case tell me why it's not working for you. And throwing in some light hearted comments helps a lot too.
  16. Doing good bulldog, good to see you!
  17. I understand what you are saying, I don't expect to be chosen honestly and I'll still be here next week doing what I can to contribute
  18. Im one of the newbies here at MGS, I spent a lot of time on another forum for years and tested several products while I was there and I think I did a very good with them. The climate on the other forum changed awhile back and I just didn't fit in anymore so I spent less and less time there and eventually quit logging on at all. I knew a few of the guys on here from days at the other place ( Ole Grey, Dawgdaddy and a few others) so I decided that I might be a good fit here as well. I agree with what others have said about the time and commitment it takes to do a proper review, it can be a job in itself. I also wouldn't put in for testing on something that didn't interest me or fit my game because it's not fair to the product, the OEM, MGS or other members who might have been more suited for that particular item. I did put in for the Mizuno irons because I'm in the market for new irons and I'm very interested in the new model. I plan to be around here for a long time and I hope I am able to make some meaningful contributions to the site.
  19. So what are the "dots" under Members under my avatar?
