Sliding wedges under ball help
pulledabill replied to pulledabill's topic in Lessons, Drills, Mental Game, and Fitness Tips
Last range session I dedicated most of the session to wedges and basically flight control with my 50, 54, and 60 which are the clubs that this fault comes out on. Playing ball back in stance a bit certainly helped me. I think the ball got a bit forward and play for high ball flight was part of it. Placed ball back a bit and kept follow lower and that worked great. Played 18 last night and hit a few flight controlled 50s and 54s and things were TONS better. -

Didnt see where he said "show me". -
2 large buckets last night with about 10% of the buckets being driver and 3w and the rest being 8i to 60 wedge and working on flight control. Went well overall.

Good point and that is one my faults at times. -
Contemplating a new bag. I have the C130 which is great for wet and cold weather golf as it has tons of space but very bulky. I also have a small carry bag but doesnt fit my push cart great and lacks space especially cold weather and hot weather as I pack plenty of h20. Really need an in between bag.

Fiiiiinnnnaalllyyyy got some grass open at one of the ranges in town. Went through the whole bag and very pleased with session. Driver is tightening up. Struggling with my wedges sliding under ball. Not sure why that happens?

Looking for a Matix Altus Tour stiff hybrid shaft for my Adams Red 2h, or an Adams Red 2h with a stiff shaft.

So much truth in this post. Why I havent installed 5000 putter grips, when I worked in a shop I took advantage of having the customer in the shop while I did putter grips so I could adjust to their eye as needed. Never had a grip returned by using a simple torpedo level on head, eyeballing, and checking square at address using something square. Like my golf swing, I try not to over think it.

Walked 9 in windy conditions to see if I could keep up with the ball striking I had a couple days ago. Hit 6/7 FIR, no 3 putts, and nothing worse than a bogey. Finished +2. Very satisfied especially after tge lousy inconsistent golf Ive played the last 2 to 3 years. I pulled my 5w and added a 2h and put a new shaft in my driver.

Not much golf thanks to injuries other than range since last August. My last injury was fractured ribs thanks to acting 20 on my quad. A month ago I played a so so 9 holes. A couple weeks ago I shot a 98! Mind wasnt in it and I didnt trust my swing change on the course. Not a clue. Not 1 fairway hit. Topped long irons and skulled wedges. I left feeling very dejected. Last night with the wet weather I knew the course would be empty and I had the intentions of just focusing on new swing, routine, trust my swing, and hitting multiple balls. Went out cold and started on 10 which is a 130 par 3. Hit 9i stick high on fringe so I said lets just play it. Up and down. 11 is # 1 hdcp. Contemplated driver but went 3w as water is 255 out. Smoked driver 10 yards short of water. I was shocked. Punch 8i to green and 2 put par. hmm..whats going on im thinking. 12 is a par . Hit driver and fairway. Hit bad 3w which and left 5i to back of green back stick. par 13. another fairway, green and par 14. I got back on my heels and didnt catch all my driver and leaked it to 1st cut. Long 2nd shot left me short of green and a missed putt. bogey 15. par 16..I got cocky and took an aggressive line with my 5w and took out a house OB right. toed it a bit..ugghh. double 17. par 18. Found some trouble on long par 5. I had 100 out with up and down over water needed for par. Tried to stick my pw to a tight right green but missed about 5 ft right of green but stick high. Bogey. Since it was soggy I could see my alignment was off and I hit it right where I aimed. All in all very pleased and left feeling confident.

Bench cutter/sander question
pulledabill replied to RedBear90's topic in Club Making/Repair & DIY Projects
I got a cheap cut off saw from Harbor Freight which works great for me for steel and graphite. I also have a upright belt sander I can prep tips on but prefer to do it by hand at least on graphite as I don't do a ton of graphite anyways. This particular belt sander doesn't turn slow enough for ferrules so I do them by hand.
