  1. Played yesterday and it was the best driving display i have ever had, i hit the same shot over and over. I eliminated the right side of the fairway, it was consistent shots left side with the smallest of fade. The ball jump of the club face and it felt like it was in the air for along time. It definitely brought a lot of confidence know that you are only dealing with one side of the fairway and that you will hit that fairway 80% of the time.
  2. Ebay for the iron covers, Rose and Fire for the wood covers, Bethpage for the putter cover
  3. Just finished the round today. Lets say it's the best I have hit my driver with confidence. Basically I hit the same shot all day.. Left side all day. It was amazing.
  4. I had those mizuno.. For a while.. Love them Until the MMC MP-18
  5. This got into my bag today, which was a total surprise. After struggling with the new Cobra SZ (replacing my F9). And after several shaft and adjustment, I was about to go back to the F9 when I was giving the option to try the new Ping G410 LST. I never had Ping equipment before so I was not expecting much. Surprisingly the numbers were impressive, and the feel and tragectory where outstanding. And as a bonus it was much longer. Took it back to the range to give it real workout, and it perform even better. Taking it tomorrow to the course for a real test If you a looking for a driver, I would give this model a look and not quickly dismissed it as I originally did
  6. At least 3 to 4 times a round if not more if I need something down a tight hole.. 3wood comes in handy. Par 5. Of the tee Versitile club!

  8. That's too bad. You was hitting the ball well last week on the back 9..but this is why we are not professionals.
  9. Played yesterday, to test out the new Cobra SZ driver on the course and it was a struggle until the last 6 holes, when I finally started to hit it well and getting what I was somewhat expecting, Need to do a little more work to fine tune it. But the Irons where fantastic, stroke them well and putting was on point, they were going where I was aiming . Struggles came from butchering the first 3 par 3s really, no excuses, I sucked . 5 Doubles and 3 of them where on par 3s. Stupid game.. lol. Looking forward to the next round, clean up the driver and my wedges "should" be an improvement.
  10. I had the Cobra F9 and it was fantastic, I just traded in for the new Cobra Speedzone with the Rogue Shaft. I Have been working with it on the range so far, it feels fantastic and it appears to be much longer than that F9, the ball seems to jump of the club face, but the Best thing , which is what I liked about the F9, the dispersion is much tighter. It doesn't exaggerate a miss hit like a TM or Callaway. Looking forward to taking on the course this weekend and seen in real action.
  11. Yeah, had fun playing with @TR1PTIK , haven't played the Indian Creek (Creeks Course) in 5 years and it was in fantastic shape. You did come on the back 9 and played well, I had a good start even par thru 7 holes then it went down from there. Look forward to next round.
  12. I reminded me of some course in Austin.
  13. Played The Cliffs on Friday, 6/5 and lets say its a fantastic course with spectacular views. its only 6458 yds from the Blues is good yardage. The challenge there was the first cut, it was HIGH rough and or environmental areas. Shots that appear to be great were lost because how the course feeds left to right on the fairways and falls into rough or didn't think your ball was gonna run as much. Its definitely a course that you would need to play a couple of times to know the lay out and where to hit or not to hit. It was worth the trip to play the course, Highly recommended.
  14. Well game starting to come around slowly, I need to figured out the front 9 struggles. 2nd weekend in the a row that I butcher the Front 9 and then be lights out on the back. Stupid game. Lol 44 / 35
  15. There are some short holes that you have to hit iron of and take away the driver. #3 , Par 5, but you can reach the creek with driver, since the ball rolls there and it can run for 100yds into the creek. #5 tight landing area, 3wood or iron of the tee , leaves you with 7 or 8 iron in to slow down green . #8 is one of the short holes only 304yds, but you have to work the ball around the bend right to left, bring water in to play real quick. Relative easy hole, but because is easy, people make big number there. #12 is a good hole, blind shot over the bunker landing area then over the creek into the green #13 was a great hole, but now that the tree new the green has fallen its an easy green to hit in 2 , the Tree made the whole difficult because you had to hit it high to get over it and the green became small (optical illusion) #16 is tough par 3, 178yds into a thin vertical green , that too much spin you off the green into the water , too much club your over the green into the forest. #17 is the other short hole its only 290yds but you have to work the ball right to left, to much left your in the creek, too much right your in the other creek.and If you try to go over the tree in front to cut the corner you best be straight, bunker waiting for you and if you are over, the green goes away from you and you will have a hard time getting it close. #18 to me is deceiving long, 428yds, but it feels like you are always into the wind, making the approach shot over the creek a little more challenging. The challenging thing at WoodBridge are the greens, fast, slope and if you are in the wrong side, 3 putts are in your future.
  16. Played on Saturday with nice 88 degrees weather, perfect for walking(push cart), lets say that the range session before the round was ok, but the Front 9 was garbage. Worse putting , greens were fast but i couldn't adjust correctly. 46 in the front with 20 PUTTs. Ridiculous. Made the turn, and all of a sudden, drives were crisp, irons, wedges on point, Putting was back to normal, finish the back 9 at 38. with only 15 putts. Moral of the story , don't give up your round, it may come around the way you expected it to be. Now the trick is to remember everything that went right on the back 9 and repeat it next week. LOL
  17. My grip is tight enough the putter doesn't move but also light enough that I feel the weight of the putter head go thru the zone. My Odyssey Seven S, i can feel the weight and am able to get a good feel for the long and short putts. The one thing about putting is the only thing that is extremely unique to the individual and how the can go back and thru. My method could be horrible to others and work for some. Tiger likes using the ping skinny grip, some people like the fat grip to take their hands out of the equation .
  18. I just got the Bag Boy Hybrid bag, lots of pockets, individual sleeves for the clubs, a nice cool storage compartment hold 4 cans or 2 long bottles.. fits nicely on my Push cart, my only complain is the location were the putter would go is towards the back of the back where the stand legs are, so the woods would be in front and you would need to reach the back for the clubs.
  19. I played it Squaw Valley both courses Apache and Camache both are very nice designs. If your going that far, you can also try Sugar Tree which is just 5 min from there. Favorite courses: Old American Tempest Pine Dunes Tierra Verde Bridges In Gunter WaterChase The Links at Lands End Southern Oaks Hackberry Texas Rangers Fossil Creek Texas Star
  20. The score doesn't reflect, how i felt hitting the irons, wedges and putting (backyard practicing wedges and putting pays off) which was pretty good considering not playing consistently, Driver was stuck, couldn't get around it, push a lot to the right , but silly mistakes here and there added up quickly. Specially on the par 5 butcher them Hopefully in the next few weeks when i start to play more regularly the scores will start to come down.
  21. This was pretty cool, my friend went to try at the range yesterday, he said it would take a little bit to get the timing down, but felt a better swing.
  22. Very nice video recap of your progress so far. Love to see the difference on your driving distance and accuracy, after you complete your sessions. Does that increase speed affect your timing to hit driver and irons? You was already skinny your going to disintegrate with that workout regime and detox...LOL
