  1. I’ve been using the Kirkland gloves exclusively for well over a year. For the money….they are the best gloves on the market. I hit a lot of range balls and play a lot of golf and these gloves will last a long time. However, I do have to say it….as I’m sure others are thinking it…..Costco sells these as 3 packs for $15.99 and you get the packaging and poker chip and the 4 pack for $19.99. Just saying….
  2. You pose a very good question, yet difficult question to answer without knowing your putting tendencies; stance, grip, arc or no arc, position of eyes, shoulder turn, no shoulder turn and distance from the ball. If your new and high handicapper.....my recommendation would be take lessons from a reputable instructor (full swing and putting lesson). Because.......if your putting sucks now due to one or many of the things listed above and you get fitted for "that" putting style.....you will quickly regret it and have the wrong putter as you progress and begin making a better putting stroke. Example - it's a known fact in the putting instruction world that the line share of golfers are using putters too short for them. However, to answer your question.....Edel makes great putters and many people I know have gone through their fitting program and are enjoying their putters.
  3. Why does anyone collect anything? Putters, Cars, Thimbles, Old Radio's!?! To each their own. However, I'd have to speculate that a lot of golfers or proclaimed "Putter Collector's" collection usually begin because of their tireless search for their "magic" stick and they simply start stacking up in the garage. Case in point.....I have a buddy who is a very good single digit golfer. However, he's always tinkering with putters.....I wouldn't be shocked if he has over 12 expensive putters of different shapes and brands. For me, I've dabbled in collecting SC putters and accessories. I do it because I like it and I absolutely love the game of golf. A lot of guys have sports memorabilia in the "man" caves or offices.....why not golf related? I don't collect run of the mill putters.....but, I own, or have owned multiple Circle T, limited release putters (My girls). If you know the market, know what you are doing, you can actually make a few bucks here or there or at worst break even buying and selling SC putters. I purchased a SC CT 009 putter in 2008 for $1900. Gamed it up until a few years ago and sold it last year for $2500. Not a bad ROI for a used putter. My current gamer is a CT X5 that I'm confident will make a few bucks if I ever decide to sell it. Right now, it's NOT going anywhere. As, putting is one of my strong suits in the game and I absolutely love it!
  4. Never owned or considered owning one.....but, I do pick one up from time to time at PGA Superstore to roll a few putts. I've made everything I looked at several times in store. There's no denying it rolls the ball nice and would probably help some golfers. For me....I just can't get over how big the head is.
  5. My fitting was with a LAB putter vendor here in NE FL. We spent an hour measuring lie and optimal length. Fortunately, he several demo putters, so I was able to putt with it on the practice green.
  6. Hey guys.....just wanted to check back into this question. First, I was fitted for the LAB, Blad 2.1. I went into the fitting as open minded as I could muster and with a mindset that I would purchase the one that yielded the best results....because, like a lot of folks, I just didn’t like the look of the Directed Force. Ultimately, I liked the Blad 2.1 better. Fast forward 45 or so days. Started out putting “okay” with the 2.1. Then had about a 2 week period were I almost took it out of the bag for good. Decided to stick with it and dedicated some practice time before I tossed out the coin I spent to purchase. One of the biggest issues I had with this putter is that it has a very small sweet spot and if you don’t hit that sweet spot, the feel changes, the sound changes and I was leaving several putts short. Looking back, I guess this is actually one of this putters strengths......it provides instant feedback, unlike a lot of other putters I’ve tested over the past few years. I ended up changing my set up a bit; moved the ball a bit more left and standing about a ball farther away at address. Boom......everything changed and the putter is an absolute weapon now. For the past few weeks, I’m literally making everything inside 10-12 feet and my lag putting has gotten WAY better. Knock on wood.....over the past 4 rounds, I haven’t 3 putted a hole.
  7. I'll report back soon.......just took delivery of my new Blade2 with tour stability shaft. Did a fitting locally and rolled the heck out of it. I'll be playing my first round with it this weekend. Few more practice sessions and game on!
  8. I'm playing the HZRDUS, Small Batch, PVD, 70g, stiff shaft. I love it!!! TM SIM Max 9* head, swing speed 110mph. I guess it all depends on your transition regarding the "feel" of this shaft. I've hit a lot of stiff, heavy shafts prior to this and I can say it doesn't feel like a board or pipe to me at all. Also, I can swing hard with it all day long and feel pretty comfortable it's not going left.
  9. After finding and going through a quality Driver fitting (The Performance Center at Sawgrass - Josh Gumlia), I would argue you can't afford NOT to do a driver fitting. Here's what I mean......I can't tell you how many off the rack clubs I've purchased over the years (LOTS of $$) that absolutely wasn't right for me (wasted $). This is what the manufacturers count on! Today, I'm playing my best golf ever with fitted clubs and vowed NEVER to buy another club off the rack that I know I'll abandon shortly after buying.....BECAUSE it's not right for me! I'd recommend doing a proper fitting. Once you know what you want, search the golf forums and Market place for what you need and buy used. There's a lot of great used stuff out there! I'd even tell the fitter that you want to try several 18-19' model shafts. You can usually find 1-3 year old shafts online cheap. I've got one for sale in the classifieds here now for less than 1/2 what it cost new. Here's another option.....find a used head you like: TM M2 (Still one of the greatest heads ever made), M5 or M6. Take that head to the fitting and find a shaft that works for you. I would think you could be all in around $500 or less. I've seen 2 M2's on local FB Market place in the last week for $100. Just my opinion. Good luck in your search.
  10. Picked up my new SIM Max, 9* head w/Hzrdous Smoke, Green, 70g shaft last week. Played my first full round with it yesterday. I love this thing. Had my best driver day in a long time. Shaft and head combo just works for me. Long and straight. Also put the SIM 3w & 5w titanium heads with Diamana 75g shafts. Loving everything about them! Coming from a TM M2, followed by a M6....I can say the SIM Max has a different feel and sound, which suits my eye and ear perfectly.
  11. Buddy of mine uses it and loves it. He's a good golfer (4 handicap) and he sinks a lot of putts with it.
  12. Hey buddy. I’ve got a brand new (still in the wrapper M6 10.5 head I’d sell). I know it’s not a 9*....but it could be turned down to 9.5 or so. I’d let it go for $225. Let me know if interested and I can send pictures.

  13. I can speak to this Driver. Been gaming a M6 for little over a year with Tensei shaft. Was at my fitter last week for a wedge fitting. He had the Sim Max on his desk. Long story short....It's been in my bag mated to a "real" Ventus Blue Shaft (not the stock shaft) and I've hit it quite a bit. First, don't care what the bottom looks like....because I can't see it at address. Second, the new color scheme is sick and I really like it. Can't say it's a LOT better than the M6 or that it'll make anyone longer off the tee....what I can say is that it has a different feel and sound when hit and I'm getting more carry over the M6. Haven't done significant testing driver vs driver because course has been really wet and haven't had the time. I can say....if your in the market for a new driver....you should test drive it. It appears to be the real deal. Lastly, if you're one of those guys that just likes the "new" stuff and can afford it...knock yourself out and buy it. Don't think there'll be any buyers remorse on this one. This one will more than likely remain in my bag. Anyone in the market for a nice M6?
  14. My home track is not a “long” course, but is very tight with lots of water and waste areas.....I have a TM M6 3W that I love. It’s arguably my favorite club in the bag. Hit it off the tee about 75% of the time. I’m usually a tee or two back from my playing partners and I out drive my group 95% of the time.
  15. Pug - just now seeing this. Sorry to hear your surgery didn't go well man. Post or Anterior? My "big miss" was that I didn't do enough research prior to the surgery and picking a surgeon who does "Anterior". Lots of trauma on the muscles Post. Anyway, hope you get better soon. Do you have a stretching program? Stretching helped me tremendously. I did a session with Golfstretch in Scottsdale while visiting family.......they have several great stretch/strengthening programs specifically designed for hip replacement folks.
  16. LOL. Thank you sir. Yeah....sounds like a lot. Truth is....I’m just now getting back to where I once was at a 6 handicap. I had hip replacement surgery 8/16....so, didn’t play much golf for about a 3 year period. Fast forward several years and I now live on the 18th green of a country club and have my own cart.....which equates to lots of practice time. The weight loss and the strength gain has equated to better move through the ball and my ball striking is pretty crisp right now.
  17. I'm gonna try to keep this short. First....I've never been grossly over weight or obese. I'll be turning 50 in July 2020. On Thanksgiving morning of 2018, I hauled my ass to the gym and have done it 4-5 times per week all year. In just over a week from now, will be 1 year since "I" decided to change. This is the key point....I didn't decide to go on a diet....I didn't decide to try a new wonder pill.....I drug my butt out of bed and went to the gym. It was hard at first......but, started seeing results just inside of 60 days. Started at 212 lbs. Today, I weighed in at 192.4 lbs and down 2" in waist size. I have lost lots of fat and am up in muscle. My strength and flexibility is WAY better and I'm sleeping like a baby again. I haven't changed my diet all that much really.....just making better decisions. Staying away from bread as often as I can (But I friggin love bread). I honestly can't remember the last time I felt this good....would have to go back to my late 20's for sure. Coincidentally, my golf game is as good as it's been in a long time. Handicap has been trending down for several months. Started 2019 as a 12...as of today, I'm at 6.6. I attribute a lot of this to my weight loss and increase in flexibility. Lastly, I'd like to add that this has happened by lifting weights, not walking on a treadmill. I hate cardio and typically use a bike or elliptical 10-15 minutes (rigorous) a couple times per month. I get plenty heart rate elevation lifting. Good luck to any and all who make an attempt improving your health!! It's a mindset....convince yourself your going to make a lifestyle change....not go on a diet!
