Club Champion long build/delivery times?
Patriots68 replied to analyticandrew's topic in General Q&A
I've been hearing a lot about long wait times from them lately and am wondering if independent fitters or golftec are having the same problem. I was planning on buying new irons, this spring but got stuck overseas till about a week ago. I was looking into game improvements irons but I'm not sure I really want to go through the process this year of finding a fitter, getting fit, then waiting till the end of the golf season here in New England to be able to play them. I'm not looking for anything just something better fit to.me than my off the rack rocketballz. -
Just got a box of Oliva G series churchhill

Not sure about membership costs but make sure you check out Raptor Bay, it's a very unique layout all one cut, only waste bunkers and always in great shape.

Speeding up the game, one player at a time

1. Leave the Pin in, I've been doing this for years when I'm not playing with anyone else and can walk 18 in under 2 hours at my hilly local course, even faster in a cart. 2. Encourage guys especially the beginners to pick up at double bogey. 3. Tell the beginners it's ok to use the foot wedge or toss a ball out of the bunker you're not going to make the hero shot but you will end up in more trouble. 4. When the course is crowded the Marshall's need to keep an eye on the party foursomes. Drinking more than a beer a hole can be fun but that and playing spotify slows down those of us who are out there to golf. -
V cut. I've had a no name one for about 15 years now that I bought down in Miami and just upgraded to the Colibri. On torpedos I will usually use a guillotine but sometimes a small v cut. If it's a tough draw you can cross two v cuts.

Ordered mine friday but havent gotten an order confirmation email yet. Hopefully they're not back ordered again. Shipping to an FPO so I have to wait at least a couple for it. -
It's a nice change from some of the other courses around. Much older lots of uneven lies and elevation changes. The greens are usually in good shape along with the fairways. They do have some thin/ bare spots mostly where the slope is pretty steep. It's close to my house and never crowded so it's easy to get a quick 9 in.

Paiute is great although the wind can be quite a challenge out there sometimes. The locals I've talked to all say Royal Links is a great course but I haven't tried it. Around the time you're planning in going most of the courses start preparing to overseed for the winter so be mindful of that. Some of them stop watering and let the rough go dormant. Then after they seed they'll shut down for a couple of weeks.

Break 90 and hopefully find time to play a few times a week. I'm currently overseas and not sure when I'll be able to play again but I'm hoping that when I return home I can get fitted for some new clubs and continue with lessons.

How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? I've been playing for 8 or 9 years now. I don't keep an handicap but on a good day can shoot low 90's. What do you love about golf? Being outside and the constant struggle to get better. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? I stumbled upon the site and kind of became addicted to it. Where are you from? What is your home course? Western Mass. I play a lot of rounds at Quaboag but go other places as well especially when I travel. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? The best thing is the change of seasons and how it affects the courses. The worst thing is playing in the winter mostly when there's snow on the ground. What do you do for a living? I work on a container ship and travel around the world on it. How’d you pick your user name? The Pat's and my hs football number
