  1. I'll be interested to see the results. Especially after all the Otto-flex testing and posts. My driver spin rate has jumped recently so I am considering a change and though I don't know I'll ever be able to justify that kind of $$ for a shaft, I am definitely interested in the concept and results. Good luck and have fun folks!

This comes at the perfect time.  I have been comparing Ghost to Vessel and trying to make a decision.   Providing a review would be an absolute pleasure

BLUF: I don't think you can go wrong either way.

I have a Player III with the 14 way top. The strap system is beyond great. The bag is solid. The ONLY issue I have is the size of the slots at the top. Playing oversize grips make for a tight fit. It works, but is not optimal. I think even an extra 1/8" overall for each slot would have helped, 1/4" probably being optimal. But hey,the back is great otherwise. I'm looking forward to getting my MGS Logo Ghost bad so I can compare the two. I have a feeling the one thing I may lament is losing the full length side pouch. With as much travel as I do, that full length pouch makes sure rain gear, spare this and that etc. don't get left behind.

    SQAIRZ VELO Shoe

@Javs Interesting.  Good looking shoe, but I can't ever see going spikeless.

I do REALLY like the Bold and Speed.  I have a couple pair and they are super comfortable, even after 36-holes.  If you are looking for a new shoe, I highly recommend trying them, for whatever my opinion is worth.

  3. This in an interesting opportunity.  I have a pre-round stretching routine that I have "developed" from articles and web research to address back and shoulder limitations from surgeries.  In place of overall fitness, I now find myself looking at cross-fit/HIIT workouts with a concentration on golf swing dynamics; which really makes no sense if you know anything about fitness.  That realization has me reassessing my focus and looking for a better balance. Fitness is nothing new to me, but some of these programs have captured my interest for their ability to address overall fitness and supplement golf, vs. sacrificing overall fitness for a golf focus.  Good luck to everyone and I look forward to reading reviews and seeing how it works out.

  4. Funny enough we got rained on pretty good yesterday; day 2 of a 2-day tournament.  Players from all over were up here for it. One of the guys I heard talking afterwards about getting caught without gear is from up here.  His excuse was, the weather didn't forecast for rain. So I asked, "And how long have you lived in WA?" The slumped shoulders, head down response was, "Yeah, I know." LoL. Of course if it hadn't taken our group would have beaten the rain.

Moral of the story - good rain gear is a must have, every time you play in the PNW. The weather guessers can't keep you dry out on the course.

  5. I wasn't going to apply for any more opportunities this year, after being able to participate in the Garsen grip testing, but this one really caught my interest.  I've used Super Speed for a bit now and it helped me bring swing speed up after suffering with a piriformis muscle that has been a continuous pain in the rear (pun intended).  I dropped probably 8 MPH with this issue, but started using the Super Speed again regularly and it helped my get back up into the 105-110 range.  We are getting ready to head into that time of the year in the PNW where the number of on course rounds go down and the frequency of indoor and backyard practice increases so I am interested in seeing the comparison between the equipment, and more importantly, the protocol and how testers progress.  Hopefully we will have some first time users and some who have experience with other products so we can get that "peaches to nectarines" comparison.   Good luck to everyone and I look forward to reading about your experiences.

Jease already multiple pages! What an opportunity and again shout outs go to the forum Admins for getting these incredible tests week in week out and another bang here.

Go figure, LOL!  What a phenomenal opportunity.  Funny, I did a range fitting with Titleist in WA this spring and the T200 looked pretty good, but so tight with my, then current set, that even the rep couldn't see trying to talk me into anything new.  They did feel REALLY nice though. As happy as I am with my current bag, I'll admit I am a little jealous of all the testers that get selected and looking forward to reading your review.  Good luck everyone.

  7. I currentlybuse the Shotscope X5 after playing the V3 since that release. I trued Arccos as a comparison because I wasn't thrilled with the accuracy of the V3, I had to edit many putts back to the green from areas around the green, but I found SS easier to use, especially putting.  I know some folks state they like the data from Arccos, but I found SS useful. The other consternation I have with SS is the battery life. I've been using Garmin products for close to a couple of decades and accuracy and battery life are superior in the industry.  Would love to see Garmin do something like SS and Arccos have done, or partner with them. I will say that SS customer service and response has been exceptional and I am not unhappy with it overall, there are just some improvements that seem like they should have been incorporated earlier on (maybe $$ point affected that?).  Good luck and look forward to seeing some comparisons from the selected few!!!

  8. As at least one other user noted, this app used to be under a different name; I think I have been using it since it came out in its original version.  If you are good with carrying your phone every where you can track shot distances and build a data base of average distances for club choices.  Otherwise you can track fairway and GIR and number of putts pretty simply giving a good set of stats to track trends and areas for improvement.  Even though I have a Shot Scope watch I use the app for course views, scores and putt tracking, hazards and carry distances, etc.  I really find it useful.

I don’t have any upcoming trips but have been using Sip Sticks for a few years. I started using them when my bag didn’t fit in the rental car with the family luggage. Here are my thoughts:

    1. Their underlying carrier is Fedex and  there is a markup.

    2. I always arrange for my bag to get to the destination at least one day before me.

    3. I usually go to Hawaii and the cost is higher than shipping to the mainland.

    4. Winter travel is “interesting”. On occasion, my bag is late. Ship Sticks always lets me know beforehand and provides reimbursement to rent clubs, buy balls, glove, etc. up to $150. They also refunded the outbound cost.

    5. You may also purchase extra insurance for lost clubs.

    The good:

for a small extra fee , they arrange a pickup at your home/office and at the resort/golf course for return - I would check with the resort/golf course before traveling.

Ship Sticks follows your bag for you. Hint: I also put an AirTag in the bag.

Very convenient not to schlep a large bag.

    Cons:

It ain’t cheap but look for their 20% off coupons.

Fedex will be a little less money

I REALLY hope not to jinx myself by jumping back in on this, but thus far my experience has been early arrival of my bag, never late 🙏

That being said, I also have always planned/scheduled my delivery for at least a day before I need my bag. I've seen the costs rise, but what costs haven't these last couple of years? So, good...

    1. so far always on time or early

    2. Don't have to lug baggage thru airports and shove them in rental cars or whatever the ride is.

    3. They will do a local pickup

    4. Can have clubs dropped at a course, hotel or residence.

    5. Can do other luggage along with clubs.

    The bad...

    1. $$ going up

    2. Sometines having to find a local UPS or Fedex at the "away" location, and get there when they are open to meet a schedule can be a challenge.

Yes Sir! I hope you enjoy them!!!

I have NEVER been one to buy something because of an ad or commercial.  I trust advertisements about as much as I trust politicians or used car salesmen in seersucker suits.  I have however, tried several products I may never have otherwise bought because of some of the articles, tests and reviews here.  It's a lot like having a couple of buddies you see using the new X telling you what they like about it so you can make your own decision, only on a broader base.  Nice to have a resource like this.

I have two pairs. I have worn them year round and they keep my feet dry. They are comfortable and very stable. I have never lost my footing on a swing like I did with Footjoys. I love these shoes!

I just put an order in for a pair of the Speed Bold, in red, with the Father's Day discount.  What the heck!  I'm a dad and, "Daddy needs a new pair of shoes."  And they have to be more comfortable than a pair of issue jump boots; right?!?

  12. I've been gaming the ER2 for a few years now and I love the feel, but a recent fitting at PXG showed some slight improvement with their Batwing, so now I am wondering if I should make a shift. This game is like a highschool girlfriend, it will definitely keep a guy guessing.

  13. I never thought I would go to a larger putter grip until I started playing my Evnroll.  Since changing I've played around a bit with the old pistol grip, but the larger grip just feels right.  The Max looks like an interesting way to align everything naturally.  Looking forward to seeing the results of this testing for all 3 models.

  14. I just read the article this morning on the release and had a discussion about whether the 100 or the 200 would be a better choice, then this pops up. Loved the feel of the AP2 and I played old '86 blades for nearly 2 decades before getting a set of Mizunos and then my current set of TMs. Loved the write up and now really looking forward to reading the testing results. Great work getting this one folks. Good luck to all the applicants, can't wait to see what you have to say!
