Rickles
I have loved the music video thread the RP started. I want to take it a step further. I think a great way to get to know someone's music tastes is just to have them put their Iphone, Ipod, or ITunes on shuffle and list the first 5 or ten songs that show up. So let's hear yours. Do a favorite play list, or just your whole library and put it on shuffle. List the artist, title, and album of the first 5 songs that pop up. Be honest, don't cheat just because a song that pops up isn't a favorite. Give us a real idea of what will pop up. I will start. This is from a playlist I keep on my phone called best of the best. It's a big playlist with more than a hundred songs from lots of different genres. Here are the first ten songs that pop up. 1. Artist: Pac Div (a California based hip hop group), Song: Broccoli, Album: Don't Mention It 2. Gungor (A really creative contemporary Christian musician), Song: Late Have I Loved You, Album: Beautiful Things 3. Radiohead, Fake Plastic Trees from The Bends 4. Blackalicious, The Craft from The Craft 5. N*E*R*D (Love me some Pharrell), Bobby James from In Search Of 6. Mob Deep, Quiet Storm from Murda Music 7. The White Stripes, Seven Nation Army from Elephant 8. Marvin Gaye, Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing from Anthology Disc 1 9. A Tribe Called Quest, Buggin' Out from The Low End Theory 10. Nirvana, Lake of Fire from MTV Unplugged I'm looking forward to hearing from people! jaxbeachpackerfan
I've got a lot of weird stuff in my library. It's not necessarily what I listen to most. I'm not an earbud music in my ears kind of guy. I listen in the car (sirius xm channels) and music channels on the TV/Home Theater. So my playlist is more the unique things I like from time to time. So, the 10 songs I just came up with on Shuffle are: Rock around the Clock --Bill Haley and Comets No Mercy for Me--The Zawinul Where's My Lucky Star--My Scarlet Life from their awesome Buzzbomb Album Suspicious Minds--Elvis Presley Be Here to Love me--Norah Jones High How the Moon--Ray Brown Jr, with Ella Fitzgerald She Takes More than She Gives--Walter Trout Everyday People--Sly & the Family Stone Working Man Blues--Merle Haggard Three Cigarettes in an Ashtray--Patsy Cline Just Like a Butterfly that's Caught in the Rain--Diana Krall Let it Grow--Eric Clapton Coconut Telegraph--Jimmy Buffet Oops--13, can't count Nonchalant putts count the same as chalant putts. In my Ogio Ozone XX Cart Stand Bag:Ping G400 10.5 Deg Driver, stock Stiff shaftTM Rocketballz 19 Deg 5 Wood, stock Matrix Osik Stiff shaftTM Rocketballz Stage 2 21 Deg Tour 4 Hybrid, Rocketfuel 80h Stiff shaft Callaway Apex CF 16 Irons, 4-P, Stiff Shafts Scor 48 and 55 degree wedges. Rickles
Theoo, We do both have a penchant for the Hip Hop. You seem to dig the southern stuff a little more than me. I have mainly older east coast stuff. I think that is a product of where we grew up. You definitely can't go wrong with Kanye and Jay Z. I think the last full album I bought with my own money was Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. I also am psyched to see Pusha T on there. I love Clipse and I was born, and my Dad still lives, pretty close to where Clipse and Pharrell are from. I was psyched to see them make it big. Jaxbeachpackerfan, You have good taste. Lots of super good song writers there. The country you have listed is exactly the kind of country I like to listen to. I tend to like more lyrical content than just loud bass and such. I think thats why i stick to the east coast and more freestyle rappers than just the guys who can put out a hit. Great idea for this thread too, im glad none of my embarrassing songs came up during the shuffle lol Driver: Epic 10.5 set to 9.5 w/ Tour AD-DI 44.5 FW: F6 baffler set at 16º Hybrid: NONEIrons: 3i 2014 TP CB 4-PW 2011 TP MC w/ TT S400 Wedges: 52º 56º 60 º w/ KBS C-Taper XS Soft-stepped Putter: Sigma G Tyne 34 inches Gold dot

whiskey golf
That's a lot of classic rock for such a young guy whiskey. My music is way out there in the eyes of most people my age. I take pride in listening to what I think is good music compared to some of the trash that is out there. I'm not saying everything modern is bad but it's just not for me. dru_
This is fun. keep up the good work boys. ... Dru: good mix of obscure stuff and some good classics. Not to mention a very eclectic mix. The funny thing about that list, is that it is far less eclectic than I expected knowing what else is available to the playlist. I don't like repetition so I use the not played criteria to make it so that for the most part I only hear a song in the playlist about once every 7-10 days.
