PMookie
Help! We can’t figure out how to move through Hulu using the Samsung remote... Like switching between who is watching, or getting to Hulu Live. We can only do it by getting into the Roku and going from there. Anyone with experience here??? robertson153
I have a Samsung tv and use Hulu. I use Hulu through a firestick as opposed to the app on my tv, just seems to work better. And I use the Samsung remote that came with the tv. You should be able the use your tv remote through the Roku. Take a picture of Hulu opened up so we can see your home screen, that will help Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy CobraConnectChallenge3
bens197
I’ll second the fire stick. We have two Samsung smart tv’s and we live and die by the fire stick. null
All streaming apps work better on a dedicated device. Smart tvs, while great in theory, are severely underpowered from a processing standpoint. My sonys are smart tvs and I use rokus with them and the experience is so much betterOnly tvs that don't need anything else are the TCL tvs with the roku built in
djahubes
Most of the time it’s easier to use firestick, roku, Apple TV etc. the interface is far superior Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
PMookie
Ok. Thanks. I have my Roku hooked to it........I’m trying to see how one uses the apps WITHOUT having to use Roku, etc. There has to be a way, otherwise it wouldn’t do any good to have the built-in apps.Another reason is that the Roku I bought is for HD, but the TV has UHD, so I’m doing an experiment to see if the picture quality is better just through the TV without Roku. In theory, only the Rokus that have the ability to go above HD all the way to 4K would produce the max quality the tv can produce.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Tried googling it? Also is it safe to assume there are batteries in the remote?Yep. Even Youtube wasn’t any help... hckymeyer
So you can open Hulu, but then within the Hulu app the left/right/up/down buttons don't move the selection around? Have you tried other apps (Netflix, Prime Video etc) to see if it works properly in those? Also make sure to try the universal electronic device fix all ... Unplug the TV and take the batteries out of the remote for a few minutes, then plug everything back in. null
Unless you are watching native 4k content on the TV, which there is almost none except the for some YouTube and Netflix videos, then you will see no difference in quality at all. In fact the roku content will likely be smoother due to the the better processing
