A shaft to improve swing speed

Just read an article that Fujikura has created a "gel infused" driver shaft called GelSTX. I guess it builds on technology used in hockey sticks to improve swing speed.

 

What do you guys think?

I’m not sure what to think... it’s a heavy practice shaft. For $200. I think I’d just take a cheap shaft and add lead tape to it if I wanted to simulate a heavy feel for practice.

I could see it being used by a teaching pro, though.

Sounds interesting, I had not heard of it until you mentioned it but I went and looked it up. I could use more speed as I am not very long. Don't know whether I could justify the price along with a new driver which I am considering at the moment. Will be interested to hear from anyone who tests it with before and after speeds.
