Hoganman1
Has anyone tried this club? I usually don't pay attention to the commercials on Golf Channel for these types of clubs. The Perfect Club, the Stand Up By Itself Putter and the Square Strike Chipper all seem to come and go. However, I played with a guy at my club recently and he had a Vixa V12. I don't know how far he normally hits a conventional driver, but he was getting it out there pretty well. I'm a senior (70) and I'm always looking for a few more yards off the tee. I think this guy is maybe in his mid 60s and he was the longest in the group off the tee with this club. I see that it has a very small shallow head and 14.5 degrees of loft. He offered to let me try it, but I declined due to social distancing. I'm just curious as to who has tried it and what they think. Hoganman1
Well, I guess I got my answer. Zero responses in three days sends a message . Apparently, no one on the forum has tried this club. I did a little research and it appears it's just a strong three wood that looks similar to the old Orlimar fairways from several years ago. I'm guessing it won't catch fire. Frankly, the bright red clubhead wasn't appealing to me. pkgavin 1 Quote Drive for Show; Putt for Dough
cnosil
I’ve tried similar but not that specific club. They generally do what they state but work best for low speed players as they generate lots of spin. The only way to know if it works for you is to try one. Hoganman1
I doubt if I'll bite on this. I think my search for more distance through commerce is over. I've had four or five drivers in the last four years and I'm back playing a G25 from 2015. It's as long as any of the newer models I've tried and it finds the fairway 90% of the time. Just my .02, asking guys on his forum about those "miracle" clubs would be like asking guys on a muscle car thread if they prefer to drive a ford escort. I have a friend who bought this club - it resembles a fairway wood in size (not sure about loft, shaft weight or flex) and with a shaft length similar to a fairway wood is probably easier to hit for those averse to drivers. Bdaven7
I know this is an old thread, but I’ve played the Vixa for a couple years now, and I’ll be honest, it’s quite good. It’s not as long as my driver (240-250, perfect strike 270), but getting 210-220 (really getting into it, 230-240) rather consistently and flying straight majority of the time, it ain’t no slouch. Teed up, it’s absolutely effortless to hit, but off the turf it’s a bit fickle. She’s 43.5 inches, so longer than most 3s, but shorter than the drivers, so it can be an adjustment, but once you get it, it’s silky smooth and the sound is great. Super straight, and easy to hit fairways. Yes, it’s a golf commercial club, but this one actually performs. Pick up a used one, or join the email list because they send out promos all the time with a 60 day, unlimited use return policy. You may love it, you may not, but if it helps, it’s a win-win. cnosil

Infomercial clubs generally get a bad rap; but they do work for some players. It seems to work for you so it is definitely a win-win.
