B_R_A_D_Y
I bought a new pair of FJ Boa Fit shoes this season. The technology is cool, but after a month wearing them 3x a week, the strings look like they have really stretched. So the big question now is … how the hell do you fix these things when the string breaks? Would a local cobbler know how to do it … if you can still find one. I have a pair of 30 yr old Etonics that I still wear … but not when the grass is wet. My 10 yr old Adidas look dated and leak a bit, but are still usable. Does anyone expect this type of shoe to last 5 yrs? 10 yrs? More? Quote TSi3 #1-3-5 all with Tensi Blue S-flex 2019 Apex Pro black 3 & 4H Catalyst 70 or TSi3 #2-3 depending on how I’m playing. Siamese Moose
I have multiple boa shoes. The strings look bad, but they do not stretch. They may eventually break, but it's very easy to fit a replacement kit direct from boa. $25 -$50 depending on the specific dial used. I've only had to replace one on a mountain bike shoe in over two decades of use. Flip4000 and B_R_A_D_Y 2 Quote Moose, my cat, is Siamese
B_R_A_D_Y
Good to know. Thx. As far as the stretching … just looked them over and the end of the string attached to the ratchet, can look slack. But now I see it’s not stretched.. CRW
Both my son and I have had multiple make/model golf shoes with BOA laces and the BOA system has always outlived the lifespan of the shoes. I've had zero issues.
