GT1885
I bought a 425 Max head off of ebay. First Ping I've ever owned. I had to go buy an adapter for it. Two questions. 1. This rubber ferrule thing. What's the technique to get it right? Do you put the ferrule into the adapter and thing slide the whole thing onto the tip with epoxy on it? 2. Does the bottom of the adaptor sit absolutely flush against the top of the hosel? When I screw the adaptor onto the head (dry fit) there is a slight gap that doesn't close up after the torque wrench pops. I'm aware of the flutes and ridges on the both the adaptor and inside the hosel that have to mate up . Quote Changes by the month.
TSauer
1. You can do it either way. Put the ferrule in the adapter and slide it on all together or put the ferrule on the shaft and slide the adapter on afterwards. I typically put the ferrule on first, then epoxy the adapter and slide it on second. 2. Are you speaking of this area specifically? If so, it doesn't sit 100% flush from what I remember, there is an ever so slight gap. As long as everything is lined up with the ridges on the adapter, you should be good to go. cnosil and GolfSpy_APH 2 Quote Driver: Aerojet 9* | Hzrdus Black Gen 4 Fairway: G410 3W 13* | Alta CB 65 Hybrid: TS2 18* | Tensei AV Blue 70 S Hybrid: iCrossover 20* | Kai'li White 80 Irons: P790 5-PW | DG S300 Wedges: Vokey SM9 | 52, 56, 60 | DG S200 Putter: Link.1 | Accra x LAB --- LAB Golf Link.1 Review ---

Thanks I'll try both suggestions but it seems that the rubber ferrule doesn't last a shaft removal. And yes yours seems to be like mine when I dry fit the adaptor before shafting it. Thanks for your help Quote Changes by the month.

I have swapped around several ping shaft adapter in the last month and they all worked! @McGolf has a great video where the shaft puller goes into a piece he made which goes into the adaptor vs putting pressure on the other side of the adaptor. Basically a bolt and some washers. This is what helped make this a lot easier. Quote as of Oct 5, 2024 (Past WITB) Driver: GT2 with Graphite Design AD CQ - check out the Driver Shootout! Thanks for your help This is similar to what @GolfSpy_APH mentioned with washers/bolt idea that will help save ferrules. I picked this up a little while back but haven't been able to use it yet to test it out. Looks promising though. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C7LRPKX?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Edited October 16, 2023 by TSauer McGolf 1 Quote Driver: Aerojet 9* | Hzrdus Black Gen 4 Fairway: G410 3W 13* | Alta CB 65 Hybrid: TS2 18* | Tensei AV Blue 70 S Hybrid: iCrossover 20* | Kai'li White 80 Irons: P790 5-PW | DG S300 Wedges: Vokey SM9 | 52, 56, 60 | DG S200 Putter: Link.1 | Accra x LAB --- LAB Golf Link.1 Review ---
