DStar Posted April 24 Share Posted April 24 I treated myself to a bargain Aerojet driver last week and am really pleased with it so far. The fade I had with my old RadSpeed has gone which is great. I got the 10.5° and am, shock horror, finding the flight a little high. I want to try it at 9° and was just wondering if anyone with experience of it can offer some input on any their experiences when doing the same. How did the ball flight change, and issues with draw or fade? GolfSpy_APH Posted April 24 Share Posted April 24 It will certainly help change the flight. There are also draw settings with the different lofts to help dial in your options. Just double check it has the little LH. I once had a RH adaptor in the cobra that I bought used and it least to a draw setting being a fade setting which really didn't help my slice.... I would say the best course would be to tinker with it and see what happens. You might also be able to try a different shaft that is geared for lower ball flight like the Hazardous Black or Ventus Black and see what that yields. I was having the same exact issue as you with the loft setting at 10.5 my ball flight was crazy high. I changed the setting to 9 and its much better, my ball flight is lower and there is less spin on my golf ball. This doesn't completely take my slice out of play, but when I do get a little over the top my misses aren't as bad. I would recommend going to the range and messing with the settings on your driver to see what best suites your game. Good luck my fellow lefty! I will say most drivers when you adjust down you also open the face so ball flight might also change a little direction. I have mine turned down to -1 D so it plays at 9.5. D setting should offset the opening of the face when lowering the loft. For me, it maybe adds a little draw bias, but not much. If you go for the full -1.5 it could make it slightly more fade biased, but if you've got a good club path and face angle I would guess it'll be negligible. So I've been testing it at the -1 setting and found success on the range but have my first full round this weekend with it at the -1.
