RoverRick
I hope you have this written down because I am not planning on memorizing it. Nor am I remembering where we are playing. I get to Vancouver and then you tell me where to be. SPY VIP The Dansome Posted May 30, 2013 Author SPY VIP Share Posted May 30, 2013 Read this on Facebook Looking for some competitive golf game ideas? Here is one with more to be posted this season. QUOTA - Perfect for a group of any size with legitimate Handicap Indexes DESCRIPTION: Each player takes his or her course handicap, then subtracts that number from 36 and that becomes the point quota they have to make during a round. Typical scoring for a mid-handicap group would be 1 point for a bogey, 2 points for a par, 4 for a birdie and 8 for an eagle (points can be adjusted in any way). The player with the most points above their quota wins a predetermined pot. If no one finishes above their quota, you can roll the pot into the next round or decide it by some kind of tiebreaker. I've always liked this game because pars and birdies are worth so much more to average golfers than just being one shot better than a bogey. GolfSpy WD
Seriously, you did not like the idea when I brought it up. I have been playing this with my group for at least 4 years. Most ideas are better when you come up with them yourself. One thing I learned early in work is I get my way a lot more when I convince other people my idea was theirs @GolfSpy_WD
RoverRick
The delegation from Texas has safely arrived in Vancouver. The motorcade rumbled through town and arrived at 1am local time. I have no idea what that is in real time, but it has been a long day. We are now safely ensconced in the Team Texas section of the Vancouver Open golf village and resting comfortably in preparation for tomorrows Opening Gala Festivities.
