  1. From a golf perspective, I prefer salted nut rolls as a snack, chocolate bars are no Bueno in my golf bag.
  2. I hit all my clubs off the box on a tee, regular tee for driver, short stubby Martini tee for everything else. I do play courses with short par 3s where I might hit 50-58deg wedge and I find I can spin them really well offa tee. The short stubby Martini tee feels like a perfect lie for every club on the tee box.
  3. 2 things, back fusion surgery that will hopefully happen in December or January if the doctors ever get their act together, the pain doesn't allow me to practice and I can only play with the correct amount of meds and adult beverages. I certainly want to try the Paradym Super Hybrid, but with back surgery on the horizon, not trying to many clubs at this point. I am actually very happy with my bag at the moment, ZX5 MKII Irons, Cobra Hybrid, TSR3 4 Wood, Rogue ST Max LS Driver, Cleveland Zip Core wedges and Odyssey Tri Hot 5K two putter. I am always looking to fill the spots between my driver and Cobra LTDx 4 Hybrid.
  4. For me it would be my driver, Callaway Rogue st max ls 9deg with Tensei AV Blue stuff. Been the most consistent driver I have used with good distance and dispersion. Part of me wants to try a couple of different shafts in it, but not a high priority. Second would be my Cleveland rtx zipcore 4 58 degree wedge, just works for me
  5. I have one old pair of FJs that I can't even tell what the model is, they have a softer rubber bottom with rubber dots, they are my range shoes so to speak and they have worn like iron, they have been used indoors, outdoors scuffed around on asphalt don't really care. I sincerely doubt if they are still waterproof, but as long as they hold up, I keep wearing them for practice. Everytime I check the bottom the rubber spike nobs are still mostly there. I have other Fj spikeless with smaller plastic spikes if you will that haven't held up nearly as well.
  6. Yeah I have some TP5s I need to figure out what to do with. I gave some TP5s to a buddy, he complained they weren't as long as Pro V1, I thought he was exaggerating but it seems like he wasn't. He didn't complain about the TP5x as much.
  7. Until there is a great sale on an older model and I get a new oair. I wear spikeless shoes and I am very hard on them. If the side of the heel cup starts wearing out, they are gone, always happens first in my right shoe, and not just in my golf shoes.
  8. All balls in yellow unless the driving range with yellow balls is on my left, then I play a white version of these until past the range. I prefer lower spinning balls with my driver, I have no problem spinning any of these into the green. Chrome soft X LS Maxfli tour Titleist AVX Pro V1 Tour Response
  9. I have both, the BOA pair doesn't seem to stay as tight as I like but I like the concept, look and ease of use. Laces are well, just laces and they do the job, they can come untied but not really a big deal.
  10. Just ordered the Maxfli Tour ball in yellow. I have been waiting for the yellow versions and finally noticed that all three types are now available in yellow. Did the 4 for 30/box deal with free shipping.
  11. I must be one of the few people that hate large or oversized putter grips, I feel like I lose all feel for the putter head. Now I prefer midsized grips on my irons and driver.
  12. I am currently gaming an Odyssey tri hot 5K two with stock grip. Did a putter fitting and found this to be my best putter. I tend to consistently miss left and this Odyssey helped the most with that. I prefer putter faces with an insert and a smaller stock grip. This is the first blade putter I have ever used, I was always more of a face balanced CS kind of person, but the feel of this putter and results have changed my mind. Prior to that I had a Ping CS that I liked but missed too many putts to the left, the issue was I aimed left consistencly with that putter. I also have 2 other tri hors with stroke lab shafts, the double wide with plumbers necks and a slant neck 5S that isn't bad, but I am still more consistent with my tri hot 5K two. Tried a Toulon Las Vegas, but didn't like the feel of the face, non insert putters feel to hard to me.
  13. PGA pros that work at golf courses or have worked there, have told me that at busy Ranges, most range balls are losing distance and worn out after 2-3 weeks. Does that mean they swap the balls out? No, to expensive.
  14. Thanks for the information, I have Kaiser and they are so far behind on getting people in for treatment in the spinal center. Getting an MRI, no problem 2 days after the referral, X-RAYS, no problem, walk in and get them done. See a specialist, it will be 2 months before we can get the shots, UGH!, Another month before the surgical consult so I am at best guessing Nov/Dec for surgery if recommended.
  15. Looking at a golf trip to Ireland next June so if I could get it done in Nov/Dec, I could be recovered, but they have mentioned back fusion and that may take longer, not sure. They didn't say much after the MRI, but when they saw the additional xrays, that was when they mentioned surgical consult. I just hope the cortisone shots at least releive some of the symptoms.
  16. Probably the wrong forum, but I am looking at back surgery for a PARS defect in my back that is impacting my golf and other parts of my life, basically the disk is sliding out and and hitting the Sciatica nerves, getting cortisone shots in August and have a surgical consult in September, how long was your recovery for the back surgery?
  17. I hit the 58-8 C grind on Tuesday and really liked the club. Stock shaft was a KBS and normally I am not much of a fan of KBS shafts, but in this case the shaft and club felt good. Slightly heavier than my RTX Zipcore 58-12 F grind, but not a huge amount. I hit it well and it seemed to spin well and fly further than my Zipcore. I may take a deeper look in the future at the 50-8. Cleveland seems to have a few more options for bounce than Mizuno.
  18. In baseball players at all lower levels use aluminum bats, until they get to the pros, then wood bats only, they either adjust or they are out of the league.
  19. Doesn't bother me one bit, it still won't hinder the elite player one bit, they will still hit it long and score. I hope they move forward with the proposal.
  20. I think this was the most likely outcome of this relationship, seems like it was only a matter of time.
  21. I actually bought the same putter from CPO in a 2 model, saved about $100 off new. I had a laser testing where my aim was looked at and I tended to aim my gamer to the left and a couple of other putters I had were all aiming left, this was one of the few models I actually aimed correctly and I don't usually like plumber neck blades, I am more of a face blanced center shaft kind of person. I have yet to game it yet but I have seen very good results with it in my practive putting mat. In a couple of weeks I should get to try it out.
  22. Actually just ordered the TSR2, 21deg with Tensei 75g shaft. I was looking to replace my LTDx 21deg and I wanted higher launch and better descent angle and similar distance. Was going to go Paradym X as I initially hit that better, but the more I hit the TSR2, the more consistent it became. I think the LTDx with the 85g KBS PGI shaft is just heavier than I want. What I liked about both the TSR2 and the Paradym X was the larger head and the ability to really go after either one if I need to. I hit each club at least 5 times at different places to make sure they met my needs.

I bought the center shafted wide blade as well as that is kind of my go to style for putting, I was very underwhelmed, I should have returned it but I didn't so it sits in my basement.
