I am going on year 8 on my 3.5 to give you the durability and build quality of these tanks.

Easily done with air. Using solvent and tape is more difficult putting these grips on.

Ditched my stealth 2+ 3w last april and went with the mini BRNR 13.5* pretty much a glorified 2w and have not looked back. Off the tee its no comparison to any 3w on the market and is surprisingly really usuable off the deck. It actually makes me take a conservative shot cause when I rarely do come across that I need to use it off the deck it has to be a pretty darn good lie. If not then just lay up while when I used to have a normal 3w I would try a hero shot with it and usually end up in crap

I prefer CP2 myself as they have a core at the end to reduce vibration. However since you are still going with steel shafts I also recommend using the Tiger dowel dampening trick to add additional shock absorption. I did it on all my irons with steel and it does help reduce vibration.

If you liked the weight and size of this grip you should try their new zen lite grips. Its pretty much their tour velvet variant that offers all of the characteristics of the jmx ultralite in a rubber grip form. I have it on two of my driver shafts. Durability is far superior as well.

I have been gaming the first version of the BRNR since its release last year around this time and its firmly locked in my bag and not going anywhere. I have a 13.5* with a hzrdus blue 70g 6.5 tipped 1". Its was a stock offering that i knew i would jive with when customizations were open upon release. Off the tee this club is truly a weapon. I play it like a bonafide 2w and tee it low. But there is competition against any other 3w in terms of friendly looking and confidence at address. Off the deck is and still is prob the most surprising trait of this club. Its pretty darn easy as long as you have good control of your low point. On a driving range I only hit off the mat. I am not saying its as easy as a swallow fw by no means but a positive came out of it. I only hit the brnr off the deck on course on a above average lie only whilst when I had a normal 3w I would forgo that caveat and try to hit 3w anyway and more often than not lead to dire results. So gave me better course management in a way as well.

I am 50/50 walking with a push cart and riding. I wanted a bag big enough to carry my clubs with all the crap associated with 15 full length slots and legs to stand on its own. The only category that fits the bill are hybrid bags. There really needs to be a category for these on its own. There are only a few that were in consideration which were: PXG hybrid Titleist Players 14hybrid Vessel players IV Sun mountain c130s Ogio WOODE 8 PXG - looked really nice and premium with price to match it. Things like the strap loops and pocket orientation and zippers were top notch. However bag only came in one color and just screamed pxg and was loud. Great if you want to tell everyone you rep pxg but not for me and dont like the 6 slots but the magnetic putter slot outside the bag is cool but I have a graphite putter shaft haha Titleist - very solid overall its titleist so its going to be solid. There is nothing remarkable about it. Solid bag. Didnt really like the colors for the one I saw and kind of expensive for a non premium bag. Vessel - There is nothing that hasnt been said about vessel and its bags. It just looks sexy af. And from people that had vessel the bags materials and look last with minor care. Def in terms of bag appeal and what sticks out its def this one. Their pocket structure are intelligent. Its well placed and have pockets with pockets that one would think why but its very functional. While it only has 14 full length dividers the clubs did not seem to get caught when trying out. Only caveat of a bag this nice is price obviously. Sun mountain - Its a SM so you know what youre getting. They have been in the golf bag game a while. This is the first time I heard of a hybrid bag combining the classic C130 cart bag and fusing it with the 4.5 LS stand bag I suppose. Thinking it was a C130 with legs I was wrong. Its a different bag altogether. The overall shape especially on the top is much slimmer and thinner. This is the only ones that has 15 slots. Its not only to carry extra clubs messing around but for alignment sticks and orange ball club if that is what was assumed about carring more than 14 clubs. But the strap clips and quality was as expected. I was not too keen on the pockets overall. They were of nice quality with sturdy zipper pulls that were smooth but didnt like the poor excuse of a cooler pocket. Any bag that has a cooler pocket on the sides is going to be mediocre at best. I can barely get two cans with ice packs in there. But i can get over that. However the exclusion of a magnetic pocket in the middle is very dissatisfying. The C130 has a middle magnetic pocket there is no reason that this one shouldnt. Pretty annoying to find out. Ogio - The woode system is intriguing and all and had a woode stand bag back in the day. But upon inspecting the woode system on the hybrid bag really can contain one club per slot. So having only 14 total and being restricted to having one club per slot, right away this was not even considered. Nice bag overall tho. Unfortunately there is no perfect bag that had what I needed. If there was i would of bit the bullet and paid however much it was. I had to live with some of my negative drawbacks about each one. Therefore my decision goes to best bang for buck and went with the sun mountain 130s as i got it for ~$180 brand new. If the vessel had a sale or jumped on one during black friday it may have been my gamer as well. Overall been pleased with the bag. Its functional and does what I need. Like having all the storage with legs for times at the range or just placing down after. Living with the drawbacks it has but its really nit picking. Its light enough for me to carry playing executive courses so it really is a hybrid in that sense. The clip system for the strap can also handle a dual strap if you can find one that would fit its clips. Anyone that has the same criteria as me I would recommend this one as well since these can be had for a good price.

The player: Current gamer - Left Dash ProV1 ProV1x '21 TP5x CSxLS Handicap - 3.8 7 iron carry distance with current ball - 183yd Trajectory - high Putter - Toulon Seattle The ball: TP5x PROTO '24 Distance - Remarkable. No noticeable gains in distance out on play. Notice some really long balls but not to say balls I game with would not have done that either. Have not had the chance to get on LM for numbers. Trajectory - Mid/high flight. Off the tee its not ultra high but a good medium high one. Its comparable to prov1x but a bit less in irons. I compare iron trajectory to a vice pro plus. Wedges can be flighted nicely and no evidence of any ballooning. Spin - Remarkable. Compared to the tour balls it has enough spin around the greens. Its comparable to the '21 TP5x. Not like the '19 TP5x where you would have to play for more roll out in short game shots. Feel - Extra firm. With that the '24 tp5x proto is def clickier than the previous. I noticed it more on 1/2 to 3/4 wedge shots especially when you don't get it center center on the face. You hit it low toe or high it def has a more pronounced click to it. Which makes sense since with a shorter slower swing you are not compressing it at all and just hitting the cover. To whom that do not use firm balls I could see as a turn off but to whom have used firm balls like left dash and CSxLS its not too different from their clicks. With putting it has a satisfying feedback. Obviously there is no traits of being soft or mushy so you can use the softest insert made and its still going to click off a putter without feeling like hitting a cement ball. Overall satisfying to putt with the adage of the diamond shaped pix pattern. Durability - I was overall pleased with the durability after two rounds. One was a par3 course with mostly wedges and admittedly with a couple of bladed knifes in there and a round on a sandy overseeded course with a couple of bunker shots, the ball came out overall well and will not toss until lost haha. Rating - Its a great ball that competes with the best. I like their mypix program that lets you design the entire ball yourself. You can really make your golf your own way and not even have numbers on them and I think that is innovative in the ball industry. pics after 2 rounds. Pretty satisfied with conditions after use.

I got mine on saturday actually. pretty fast! Let us know how that goes. My adapter does not fit well in mine. Its very tight in there where I had to almost ptry it out leaving a wear mark on the adapter. I dremel some of the edges to make it better but its still a tight fit

Good question although you’re asking for a slew of answers that will kind of deviate from it just gonna assume the conditions are the most standard default as can be so both pins from the same spot with it being level to the green and both pins not being tucked to the edges and having at least 5-6 paces. Greens being friendly speed around 9 on a stimp with avg receptiveness. And obviously no obstruction or hazard between ball and green. Since these call for relatively default shots I assume you just want what changes we make to these standard default shots. One presumably will be of a lower flighted and the other more of a higher apex variety. I haven’t read through all the replies and may be not the most chosen method but in terms of pre shot setup I would not change a thing. My setup will be identical in terms of having a narrow stance (maybe a clubs width apart), weight forward but more like shifting your weight forward to feel like your shoulders are level, ball position is the same with mine being maybe slightly forward of center (it could be middle but I feel like my eyes are over my left heel so it seems forward), and have a slightly weak grip on left hand along with a relaxed feel on my left wrist/elbow area. From there it’s for me all about the shot I’m trying to hit. The further pin I’ll have more of a quicker tempo back and through or a quick one two and have a feel the butt end of the club staying on the left hip. the closer pin I’ll have more of a deliberate tempo with a slower tempo of a Ooonnee Twwwooo to have time to have the face square up and feel like the butt end of the club finish pointing at my right toe. Then it’s all about practicing and getting your feels and distance down. You can use whatever club you feel most comfortable with. I prefer to use the same club. I've always use just one club and can manipulate the face at impact to do what’s needed. Easier to just have one setup and have multiple shots with it then a whole slew of clubs with multiple setups that leads to inconsistencies. If they are on the same spot with just the pin being different I think it’s more detrimental having two different setups. oh and I have the face just slightly open to expose just a tad of bounce so I’m not pointing the leading edge to sharply on both type of shots. I use a wedgeworks T grind 60° so pretty unforgiving in terms of bounce but I chip and pitch with the leading edge and don’t like using the bounce to chip.

It does not fit too great on my clicgear 3.5 due to the stand foot mechanism. It works well enough where it doesnt like fall off but its not the most secure fit. My other grip is that its supposed to be a C130 with a stand yet there are features left out of the "S". Some being the additional utility loops and a magnetic closing pockets. But all in all I am pretty happy with the C130S considering I got a good deal on it

I use my 13.5* brnr mini essentially as a 2 wood. It replaced my stealth 2+ 3 wood. Off the tee its not even close as I can hit this way more confidently than a "traditional" 3 wood. But the best part of this club is how easy it is to use off the deck. I am not saying i would play this out of the rough but on a decent lie I can strip this thing off the deck easier than my stealth 2+ fw. Here are my numbers currently. I dont need to even open it to know what you are referring to haha. I used to game that and it was probably the biggest red flag for me other than the glossy head but those are all aesthetics and in terms of performance it was a good driver. However what I did to mitigate the sound was to muffle it by stuffing it with some cotton pads with a bit of spray foam on it. I never like going the hot melt route cause its not reversible. But the cotton pads dampened the sound and didnt weight too much (2g) and can take it out if need be.

Haha I've never gave its aesthetic really any thought tbh. Its just so plain and unassuming being just black with no alignment aids. But I have had my OG UW 21* in the bag ever since its release and it does what it does flawlessly. Surprisingly I have stuck with the stock hzrdus rdx 6.5 shaft on it after trying several others. But for me it fits that 235y gap i have seemlessly and just hits that window for me that a 5 wood or standard hybrid doesnt. This updated release is just a rehash of the original which I get cause its a great club and why fix what is not broken but for people who have the OG there is really no reason to upgrade to the new version.

I would hope they do haha. But you could see why I would say that though right Scenario: FW #1 shot hit slight low heel but its still on target 2 yards offline for total of 250y FW #2 shot hit slight low toe and its 16 off target still in fairway for total of 270y FW #2 will have a higher SG than FW #2 even tho it is more offline than FW #1 and deemed being more "accurate" even though we know it was not. I know that is one scenario but there are others that can support it as well. That is why I thought using only SG purely for determining accuracy was a bit perplexing.

Is it the same hole every time within the category? Whats the features of the hole? it is plain jane and wide open or tight with hazards? After knowing the basis of how this is determined, my two cents is that this metric could almost be mashed up with forgiveness. Cause in strokes gained term I can be totally inaccurate of my target as long as I hit it good and did not end up in a bad situation my strokes gained will be higher than an accurate shot into like a bunker. The forgiveness of a club helped me more hitting it further and avoid trouble more than so the accuracy. Just my general take of it. Thanks again it just clears the clout of just spitting numbers at us and just say ok to a number of 95.8, you know.

Yeah thanks for the feedback this helps a lot. They usually have additional info on their testing but seem to missed on providing the back story on that. You answered the majority of my curiousness. I do have another one regarding the strokes gained again. When you hit shots with a certain club do you get that strokes gained number for that given shot? I have used GCQuad sparingly at shops and didnt know if they provided that metric or is it something that is calculated later I guess this would count for all three metric categories but how are outliers counted towards the data? You mentioned you did 10 balls at a time for each club. Do all the shots count or is there a buffer for a bad swing or two for the subsequent round? Thanks for your feedback being a tester

I should of asked here instead of the webpage as my questions never get posted on the board. However do you have any more insight how the strokes gained is used to determine accuracy? I know GCQuad is used but how exactly. Do you guys play a certain hole everytime, a tee shot, a shot from the fairway? Is a certain club used like 10 ten times and then move on or is it one shot then to the next club? Strokes gain is a metric of how many strokes you gain or lose but in the stats of clubs the number looks like more of a percentage so how is that number calculated. Is the strokes gain compared to a tour pro or your relative handicaps? Sorry for the question bomb. There is no link that i found that refers any of this and if there is my bad and can you refer that link over? Thanks

Oh yeah I just couldnt center the PXG as much as my gamer. Id say majority of the PXG were mishit lol . But like i said it was fighting an uphill battle because I use jumbomax grips on my driver so I am fighting the clubhead over rotating and not trying to hook it to left field thus comprising strike. Thats why the PXG had low spin numbers they were just diving hook lasers trying to stay in the air haha No I did not get the gift card. Cause the caveat to win is to get the best three shots of both and beat it in BOTH distance and dispersion. Obviously the distance was not an issue and actually was surprised how straight those PXG mishits were lol. Even the dispersion has a caveat as its the total left to right dispersion cause if it was the average dispersion from center then my gamer would have won. But end of the day I didnt go into it trying to get that $100. I like trying gear and it was free so it pretty much substituted as my range session.

I did this last week not looking for a new driver but im a gear head and like to try different clubs. One thing is I knew the PXG driver was going to be at a disadvantage from the start cause I used a jumbomax St8 grip and most or all fittings of anykind dont have anything bigger than standard grips. But I can adjust and still hit it but not at the consistency of my gamer which is a Cobra LTDx LS 9* with a MCA Vanquish 4TX. So distance wise it was even a fair ballgame and dispersion was pretty close and if it wasnt for the furthest right ball which also happens to be the longest

I definitely do. But its not about one being lightweight and heavyweight, more about one having a hotter face and one is not as much. Greens on the slower side: Bettinardi BBW (def has a hotter face thus better on slower greens) Greens on faster side: Toulon seattle (could still take a stroke and not worry about blasting it on super delicate downhill putts)

Im 6'4 with a WTF of 37.5" Obviously its all a personal preference even within us taller folks. But short answer is if you have your irons extended in any way you are going to want to have the wedges as well. Easiest way is to go progressively shorter from your PW and go from there. If you feel like your highest lofted club is too short then get it your preferred length and equally lengthen each wedge til you get to the PW. You might run into swingweight variances but as long as you keep the same shaft weight and profile shaft it shouldn't be that drastic where that they feel different from one another. Some people are more swingweight sensitive than others YMMV You can get fit or grab some wedges and tinker and experiment. All up to how much you want to endeavor. I am a bonified tinkerer and gear head. I have never got fitted for wedges and not saying you shouldn't just for me unless its an exclusive outdoor wedge fitting where i can test the wedge under different conditions I cannot take a wedge fitting indoor using mats. It should be fine for like my gap and sand wedge which for the most part are full swing shots but my lob wedge is my specialty wedge and needs to be tested out in the proving grounds. Thus that is where I ultimately have my lob wedge at +~.25" standard lie while my irons are like +.75".
