I got ace #2 last evening in league play. 135 yd par 3. Hit 4' over the pin and spun back in the hole. It was cool, but it was a bit expensive to buy all the beer at the end...lol.

So...... since my cataract surgery, I am hitting everything thin. I'm topping my tee shots with both driver and irons. I'm topping or skulling approach shots ,chip shots, and even putts. This is killing me!

Well....this was my first time playing since I had cataract surgery on Monday. I was like a kid in a candy store! Everything was so clear and bright! I didn't even care how I played.... it was just amazing to see the course in such detail and clarity. I shot +4 on the front 9. I'm usually really not happy with that, but.............. sometimes, ya gotta stop and smell the roses!

Well............. I played my home course with my brother and a couple of friends today. I know the course like the back of my hand. I'm not too happy with a score that has an 8 in front of it...lol. I shot 83 because, I literally could not get off the tee to save my life! Everything was thin or topped. I have no idea where it came from. I finally settled down and shot +4 on the back. I missed at least three 2' putts for par. My game is a streaky mess right now. I have 3 outings in a row starting next Saturday.......... I hope I'm done with it!

Just got back from playing a course I never saw before (Great Trail in Minerva Oh.). I shot 85. Missed some stupid easy putts for par. My game is so inconsistent right now. I never know what to expect from day to day.

I hear ya. My buddy and I played 9 holes last night at 6:30 pm. It took us 3 hours to get through it because they let a 6some out in front of us...... none of which could play at all. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.

I can't even argue with that.

Somehow, I don't think God cares about how well we play golf.

I just shot 90 for the second time this year. Driving well, hitting irons decent, chipping fairly good.... putting is killing me! I just can't make a putt. I had three triple bogeys today, and at least that many doubles. I have a birdie putt and I end up with bogey. I'm crushing everything 6-8 feet past the hole. I don't know why, and I can't seem to stop doing it. It's frustrating to say the least, especially when you know you're a better player than that. Oh well..... just have to keep on plugging and hope to straighten it out.

It's usually in a postion I'm not happy with.

I had my best outing so far this year. I only played 9, but I shot +3 on the front. I'll take any 9 hole score starting with a 3 right now!

Ah.... nothing like a little green fairy to make you forget about a bad round.

This discussion is why this site rocks! So much information, opinion, and knowledge in one thread. I'm just a mere average, Joe golfer guy. I understand some of this stuff..... but, it hurts my head to try and digest all of it! I'll just stick with what feels good and delivers "most" of the time.

If I'm in that ride, Golf isn't in the picture so, I don't care about a place for the sticks. At any rate, I'll take a Viper over a Vette any day.

Once again, I played like total s**t. I shot 94 today. I'm used to shooting low 80's to high 70's. I don't know whats wrong or how to fix it. My whole game .... from driver to putter is a mess. I sure hope it comes together soon, otherwise, I might just give up and find something else to occupy my time.

Feb, 21 in Ohio. My brother and I played 18 holes. It was one of the worst rounds I've played in recent history...... and one of the best times I've had on a golf course. I made some great shots. I made more really bad shots! Every aspect of my game is NOT GOOD right now...lol. I only had one par the whole round.. The rest was bogey and double bogey. I shot 95. It's been a while since I did that! Still.... I had a such a good time with my brother! I'm sure my game will get back to high 70's - mid 80's form when I start playing regularly again, but this was just such a good day in February!

They beat OSU fair and square. I'm not saying otherwise. I just think had OSU not played so conservative, the outcome would bave been different. The play calling was baffling, to say the least.

It should have been OSU. That's what happens when you play conservative at the wrong time.

I played yesterday, and I played bad! But... I played the day after Christmas in Ohio! It was the worst round of the year. I shot 91. I can't remember the last time I pulled that off! I'm sure it will happen again, but I hope it's a long time coming...lol. It was a great day, despite turning cold and misting at the end.

I shot 83 today at Spring Valley. I'll take it! Maybe I should go 3 weeks between playing more often. I hit the ball well today and had 11 GIR's. I still can't believe I just played 18 holes of golf in mid Dec. in shirt sleeves!

That's great! Raintree is a fun course. I haven't played there for 3-4 years. I'm playing tomorrow at Spring Valley in East Sparta. Almost 70* tomorrow!

Played in shirt sleeves this after noon, Nov. 4. Not too shabby for Ohio this time of year! I played with two guys form work. I shot a one over 35 on the front nine. Where the hell is that on league night!?
