  1. I switched to yellow balls for fall/winter golf, either Snell MTBx or Titleist trufeel. I haven't noticed any durability issues compared to their white counterparts, but I've seen some friends chew up yellow TaylorMade balls. I think I might stick with the yellow Snell next season. There seems to be some psychological trick going on that the ball looks a little bigger to my eye, no idea what that is about.
  2. What golf gifts were under the Christmas tree for you this year?
  3. For some reason I'm not able to upload this image, but here is a chart. https://pdf.pgalinks.com/p-g-a/Tee_It_Forward_Guidelines.pdf

    sky mark

This weekend my dumbass tried hitting my 3 wood out of a very fluffy lie and skyed it leaving a pretty large scuff on the crown. Has anyone used a scratch remover product like the one below to repair a scuffed fairway wood? Or do you have suggestions for another solution? https://www.amazon.com/Carfidant-Scratch-Swirl-Remover-Scratches/dp/B07HNHC828
  5. With winter officially here in the North what gear do you use in the cold weather on the course or what changes, if any, do you make to your equipment setup?
  6. Fairway woods are probably the most finicky clubs, but I love my Tour Edge Exotics. Moving to the 16.5* loft from the stronger lofts has been a game changer for me. I guess it's really more of a 4 wood than 3 wood. It is so much easier to get in the air off the deck, lands softer and no real distance loss off the deck.

    Bombtech Golf

Has anyone ever bought from Bombtech Golf? I constantly see their ads on Facebook and assume they are scam like Warrior, but the new hybrids that keep popping up look nice and was wondering if anyone has tried them and what their experience with the company has been.
  8. There is always something comforting about looking down at the Titleist script. My primary gamer for the past few seasons has been Snell and I would prefer it to be a little smaller and less bold on the ball, but that is just nitpicking. I've always found the Callaway logo unappealing.
  9. I picked up a dozen yellow Titleist TruFeels. They aren't bad for fall golf, but I am really liking the yellow ball and will probably switch to yellow full time with the Snells in the spring. It is definitely easier to see and for some reason seems to look a little larger than a standard white ball when standing over it.
  10. So is the product just a sticker to put over high wear areas of a glove?
  11. The past few months I have been toying with the idea of adding a 64* wedge for my bag for situations that call for a flop shot and then being able to use a normal swing without having to play around with opening the face.
  12. You're going to have a tough time finding something with 14 dividers that is 4.5lbs and remotely decent quality. If you're willing to go up a pound the Ping Hoofer 14 is as good as it gets https://ping.com/en-us/shop/bags/carry-bags/hoofer-14
  13. Contact your local FirstTee https://firsttee.org/locations/ or a local high school team.
  14. makes sense but my dumbass will probably just keep throwing away a couple hundred dollars every time my putter loses the magic.
  15. No, they emailed me a shipping label and I sent it directly to them at no charge. I was also given the option of going through an authorized dealer and have them ship it back.
  16. What trash courses are you playing that people are so drunk or stoned that innocent golfers are at risk of serious injury?
  17. I'm not familiar with those specific clubs but you are probably better off getting a used hybrid set from a brand with a better reputation. As I commented in a similar post. Go back and look at MGS's most wanted super game improvement iron listings from several years ago then go online and find a used set at probably a better price than the new Rams.
  18. Go back and look at the MGS game improvement most wanted lists from 2 and 3 years ago, then look on ebay and other golf equipment sites for the top performers in the appropriate category for you.
  19. I have a sidebar question for this. Was Snell a big sponsor that did not re-up? It seemed that MGS used to constantly talk up Dean Snell now they barely mention the company.
  20. I have played midsize GP Tour Velvet grips for at least 20 years. I've been battling golfer's elbow all this season and switched them out for GP CP2 Pro to get more cushion. These grips are great! Very tacky and feels like I am not squeezing the club as tightly.
  21. Mats are very forgiving on fairway woods
  22. Update: As always, Ping's customer service is top notch. 7 days from me shipping the putter back to Ping it returned with a new insert installed.
  23. Ping Hoofer has been hands down the best bag in golf for at least 20 years and the newest version is fantastic. Perfect for walking, but works great on a cart too. If you don't walk much, go with the 14 way divider model. https://ping.com/en-us/shop/bags/carry-bags/hoofer https://ping.com/en-us/shop/bags/carry-bags/hoofer-14
